Immobilization of Homogeneous Catalyst on Functionalized Carbon Nanotube via 1,3-Dipolar Cycloaddition Reaction and its Ethylene Polymerization (1,3-Dipolar cycloaddition 반응을 통해 기능화된 carbon nanotube 표면 위에 균일계 촉매 담지 및 에틸렌 중합)

  • In this study, CNT functionalized with pyrrolidine ring via 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction with various amino acid and aldehyde was synthesized. Metallocene was subsequently immobilized on the functionalized CNT and CNT/polyethylene composite was prepared via in-situ ethylene polymerization. The polymerization activities of metallocene supported on CNT functionalized with glycine and benzaldehyde (Gly+BA-CNT) were similar to those of metallocene supported on CNT functionalized with N-benzyloxycarbonylglycine and paraformaldehyde (Z-Gly+PFA-CNT) although its Zr content was lower than that of Z-Gly+PFA-CNT. In the case of metallocene supported on Z-Gly+PFA-CNT, the even distribution of active sites hindered the diffusion of ethylene monomer and cocatalyst MAO due to steric hindrance during ethylene polymerization. Compared to polyethylene produced from homogeneous metallocene catalysts, CNT/PE composites had a higher initial degradation temperature ($T_{onset}$) and maximum mass loss temperature ($T_{max}$). It suggests that pyrrolidine functionalized CNT is uniformly dispersed and strongly interacted with the PE matrix, enhancing the thermal stability of PE.

  • The purpose of this study was conducted in two stages for university students at K and Y universities in Gyeongsangbuk-do to examine the factors affecting their use intention to use YouTube learning contents due to any of the factors of YouTube learning contents characteristics. Based on the results of the first survey, the measurement items were organized and based on this, second survey was conducted on the use intention of YouTube learning content learners. As a result, it was found that content diversity, content simplicity, content quality, interactivity, and ease of use influenced use intention. Among them, content diversity was found to have the most influence on use intention than others. This study is expected to be used as a basic research data necessary to activate e-learning in the current university and to enhance the learning effect by researching YouTube which is a new learning trend of university students.

Analysis of Adsorption Phenomena of Hydrogen on Carbon Nanotube usint Molecular Simulation (분자 모사를 이용한 탄소나노튜브의 수소 흡착 현상 분석)

  • Molecular simulation was performed to evaluate the possibility of hydrogen storage of carbon nanotubes. The equilibrium state of hydrogen adsorbed on carbon nanotubes was simulated by grand canonical Monte Carlo method at constant temperature and pressure. The interaction energy between hydrogen molecule and carbon nanotube was calculated by Lennard-Jones potential model. According to the interaction energy calculated, more hydrogen molecules were adsorbed on the inside than the outside of nanotubes. Whereas the adsorption strength was higher outside than inside. Adsorption capacity was investigated for various temperature and pressure. The maximum capacity of carbon nanotube for hydrogen storage was 2.5wt% at 200 K and 200 bar.

  • Failure of tube bundles due to excessive flow-induced vibrations continues to affect the performance of nuclear power plant Early experimental studies concentrated on rigid structures and later investigators dealt with elastic structures because of their importance in many engineering fields. On the other hand, much less numerical work has been carried out, because of the numerical complexity associated with the problem. Conventional approaches usually decoupled the flow solution from the structural problem. The present numerical study proposes the methodology in analyzing the fluidelastic instability occurring in tube bundles by coupling the Computational fluid Dynamics (C%) with the tube equation of motions. The motion of the structures is modeled by a spring-damper-mass system that allows transnational motion in two directions (a two-degree-of-freedom system). The fluid motion and the cylinder response are solved in an iterative way, so that the interaction between the fluid and the structure can be accounted for property. The aim of the present work is to predict the fluidelstic instability of tube bundles and the associated phenomena, such as the response of the cylinder, the unsteady lift and drag on the cylinder, the vortex shedding frequency.

The Interaction Effects between YouTube Branded Contents' Ending Types and Product Involvement on Consumer Responses (유튜브 브랜디드 콘텐츠의 결론유형과 제품관여도의 상호작용이 소비자 반응에 미치는 영향)

  • This study examines the interaction effects between branded contents' ending types(happy ending, non-happy ending) and the level of product involvement(high involvement, low involvement) on consumer's negative responses. Results suggest that the level of product involvement had no significant effect on consumer responses since product on video clips was not closely linked to the contents' message. Selective empathy is identified as the happy ending type of branded contents had a greater effect on consumer's negative responses than the non-happy ending type of. It is an apparent new phenomenon shown among the young after 2000s. Moreover, the interaction between contents' ending types and the level of product involvement had a significant effect on consumer's negative responses. Two interaction terms (i.e. happy ending and low product involvement; non-happy ending and high product involvement) are the viable message strategies to weaken the consumer responses in terms of 'dislike'.

Influence of Electroless Ni-plated MWCNTs on Thermal Conductivity and Fracture Toughness of MWCNTs/Al2O3/Epoxy Composites (무전해 니켈도금된 다중벽 탄소나노튜브의 첨가가 알루미나강화 에폭시 복합재료의 열전도도 및 파괴인성에 미치는 영향)

  • In this work, the effect of electroless Ni-plating of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) on thermal conductivity and fracture toughness properties of MWCNTs/$Al_2O_3$/epoxy composites was investigated. The surface properties of the Ni-plated MWCNTs were determined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray photoelectron spectrometry (XPS), and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analyses. Thermal conductivity was tested using a thermal conductivity measuring system. The fracture toughness of the composites was carried out through the critical stress intensity factor ($K_{IC}$) measurement. As a result, the electroless Ni-plated MWCNTs led to a significant change of surface characteristics of the MWCNTs. Thermal conductivity and fracture toughness of the MWCNTs/$Al_2O_3$/epoxy composites were greater than those of non-treated ones. These results were probably due to the improvement of intermolecular interaction between the Ni-MWCNTs and the matrix resins.

A Study of Teens' Social Media Engagement: Focusing on the Comments for YouTube Beauty Videos (청소년의 소셜 미디어 참여에 관한 연구 - 유튜브 메이크업 영상의 댓글 창을 중심으로 -)

  • This study analyzed YouTube beauty videos that focus on makeup for teens, based on the assumption that the main viewers of the videos are teens. Through looking at the interaction between beauty information providers and receivers, communication among information receivers, and the way people participate in comment thread, the study examined how teens engage in social media. Many teens who posted comments on YouTube beauty videos praised and envied the beauty of beauty gurus, and tried to connect with them. The comment thread shows that teens answered to each other's questions on makeup tips, shared thoughts and experiences on issues around teen wearing makeup, which helped them build a sense of community, and broaden their views on the way of life. Also observed was power dynamics among youth, such as lecturing or verbal abuse against children and pre-teens by older teens.

  • The interaction between the flow of the nozzle and the acoustic motion in the combustion chamber acts as an important factor in suppressing combustion instability where nozzle damping effect can be evaluated by nozzle admittance. In this study, Modified Impedance Tube experiment is implemented to predict the acoustic nozzle damping effect. The experimental admittances are compared to numerical admittances values which are calculated from one-dimensional linearized Euler equation of Crocco's theory. As a result, it was possible to identify qualitatively the tendency between increasing and decreasing parts. Also, Efficient frequency bands of nozzle attenuation can be predicted.

A Study on the YouTube Videos Content Characteristics of the National Archives of Korea (국가기록원 유튜브 동영상 콘텐츠 특성에 대한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the content characteristics in YouTube videos of the National Archives of Korea. For this purpose, keywords, video data, and viewer responses were collected for 324 videos posted by the National Archives of Korea for five years since April, 2017. Social network analysis, topic modeling, and content analysis were performed. Based on this, the main keywords leading the YouTube videos of the National Archives of Korea, 7 major topics and 20 sub-topics were identified. The characteristics of the YouTube videos and keywords network were studies. In addition, video characteristics were analyzed as external characteristics, video editing and delivery methods, and content characters. The study found that the YouTube channel of the National Archives of Korea has been posting the videos related to various topics such as places, history, and events as well as the basic functions of the archives to induce viewers' interest in the archives. The study also identified the areas that needed to be improved such as low response from viewers, lack of content that could interest viewers, and lack of channel operation to interact or communicate with viewers. Finally, the study was concluded with a proposal to spread the videos of the National Archives of Korea to more users.
