  • Although Permeable concrete is resently used as a pavement at a parking lot, a public squre and a bicycle road, we use without enough examining. most the maintenance of quality for Permeable concrete is only dealt with strength and color tone. also, there is not yet enough fundamental data about dynamical properties for strength, rate of void and water permeability. even when it is applied to at the scene, it is been a matter.

  • The permeability of concrete influences the durability of concrete remarkably. The conventional test method for permeability is very difficult to apply to high strength concrete because of its very low permeability. The present study employs a resonable and realistic test method for permeability of concrete and proposes a very low permeability concrete. To this end, comprehensive tests have been conducted and major test variables include the types and amount of cement. the types and amount of admixtures, and the size of aggregates. The present test results indicate t h a t the permeability decrease with the increase of strength and that the concrete with certain mineral admixtures exhibits very low permeability. The permeability of those high performance concrete is about 1/100 of conventional normal concrete. The present study provides a firm base for the use of very low permeable and hence very durable concrete.

Experimental Study on the Pore Clogging Phenomenon of Porous Concrete (투수콘크리트의 공극막힘현상에 대한 실험적 연구)

  • A series of field and laboratory permeability tests were performed to investigate the pore-clogging phenomenon of porous concrete used for pavement materials of a road. The field permeability tests were conducted for 37 study points in Jeju city, using the porous concretes with 13mm of maximum coarse aggregate ($G_{max}$). The results show that the service life of porous concrete is about 22 months when the permeability of the porous concrete is designed for 0.01 cm/sec. Some specimens were made with the purpose of recreating pore-clogging phenomenon. Tests were done for injected concentration of pore-clogging materials or size of maximum coarse aggregates ($G_{max}$). The test results demonstrated that relatively long in service life experienced with small amount of injected concentration of pore-clogging materials, whereas relatively short in service life experienced with a reduction in size of maximum coarse aggregates ($G_{max}$). In conclusion, the service life of porous concrete is in proportion to the concentration of pore-clogging material but it is in inverse proportion to the size of maximum coarse aggregate ($G_{max}$). Thus, the persisting period of porous concrete can be determined with respect to concentration of pore-clogging materials or size of maximum coarse aggregates ($G_{max}$).

  • 투수성 콘크리트포장은 우천시 도로포장 노면의 배수, 차량 주행 안전성의 향상 및 소음의 저감등을 목적으로 개발된 포장이지만 주행환경 및 도로주변과의 환경조화에도 기여한다. 일반적인 배수성 아스팔트 콘크리트포장에서는 투수계수 1$\times$10-2cm/sec를 목표로 정하고 있으나 본 연구에서는 투수성 콘크리트포장의 실용화를 위한 연구의 일환으로 투수계수1$\times$10-1cm/sec를 목표로 정하여 골재의 최대치수, 잔골재율 및 단위시멘트량을 변화시킨 투수성 콘크리트의 공극률, 연속공극률 및 투수계수와 제강도를 측정한 결과에 대하여 고찰하였다. 투수성 콘크리트의 목표투수계수 1$\times$10-1cm/sec 일 때 공극률 및 연속공극률은 각각 15 %와 12%정도이며, 압축강도는 240kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$정도의값을 나타내었으며, 골재의 최대치수가 10~13mm일 경우, 잔골재율 10~20%, 단위시멘트량 380 kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$정도가 적절한 배합으로 생각된다.

Physical Properties of Porous Concrete Using Admixtures (혼화재를 혼입한 투수콘크리트의 물리적 특성)

  • Porous concrete has good permeability sine it contains about 10∼20 % of voids, had has been introduced to korea in early 1980's. It, however, has problems such as a lack of optimized mixture, low strength and durability, and etc. It is thus Interesting to manufacture high-performance porous concrete satisfying the mechanical characteristics to be supplied In practical construction. The results of this study were as follows : the compressive strength was 132∼221 kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$, the splitting tensile strength was 15∼25 kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$, the flexural strength was 36∼54 kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$, and the coefficient permeability was 1.05${\times}$10$\^$-1/ ∼ 9.20${\times}$10$\^$-2/ cm/sec. In order to change the maximum size of aggregate, It is believed that other mixtures should be studied further.

  • The purpose of this study is to ascertain the void ratio, permeability coefficient and compressive strength of porous polymer concretes with unsaturated polyester. The porous polymer concretes using unsaturated polyester with polymer binder contents of 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 and 5.5% are prepared, and tested for void ratio, permeability coefficient and compressive strength. As a result, void ratio and permeability coefficient of porous polymer concrete decrease with increasing polymer binder content. However, the compressive strength of porous polymer concrete increase with increasing polymer binder content. The compressive strength of porous polymer concrete decrease with increasing permeability coefficient.

  • Having function to reducing environmental load, water-permeable concrete has advantages to ground permeation of rain-water and sound absorbtion, heat island reduction, etc., but represents the low flexural characteristics compared with general concrete. Therefore, this study analyzed the flexural characteristics by producing water-permeable concrete mixed with wire mesh or fiber reinforcing for improvement to the flexural characteristics of water-permeable concrete.

Porosity and Strength Properties of Permeable Concrete Using Limestone Mine Wastes as Coarse Aggregate for Concrete (폐석회석 굵은골재를 사용한 투수 콘크리트의 공극 및 강도특성)

  • Limestone mine waste was used as a aggregate far permeable concrete. Void ratio, continuous void ratio, coefficient of permeability, compressive strength and flexural strength of concrete were measured and then the relationship between porosity and strength properties was investigated. Void ratio, continuous void ratio and strength properties of permeable concrete were greatly influenced by the grain size of aggregate and void filling ratio in comparison with the containing ratio of limestone mine waste. Furthermore, void ratio showed a good relation with continuous void ratio, and porosity of permeable concrete indicated a good relation with strength properties also. The coefficient of permeability of permeable concrete using limestone waste was over 0.2 cm/sec and was excellent result in comparison with normal concrete. Therefore, it could be expected that the limestone mine waste would be utilized as aggregate for pavement concrete, green concrete and water resource specie concrete in the results of this study.

  • 양생 초기에 있어서 콘크리트의 투수계수는 콘크리트의 건조수축에 영향을 미치는 요인으로서 콘크리트내의 물의 이동과 관련된 중요한 변수이다. 콘크리트의 특수성에 관한 연구는 주로 콘크리트의 건조수축이나, 동결융해에 대한 내구성 등과 연관되어 있다. 이들 대부분의 측정결과는 염소 이온등을 이용한 간접 측정방법이거나 충분히 양생된 안정한 콘크리트를 대상으로 하는 것이 대부분이므로 양생초기의 콘크리트의 투수계수에 관한 연구는 거의 없다고 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 싸이크로미터라는 수리에너지를 측정하는 쎈서를 이용하여 콘크리트의 투수계수의 측정을 시도하였다. 콘크리트의 투수계수와 확산계수를 측정하기 위한 세가지의 방법을 제시하였으며, 이를 적용하는 실험도 실시하였다. 또한 투수계수와 확산계수간의 변환을 위한 등온 흡수선을 개발, 적용하였다.
