가공해서 사용하는 정보량이 많아질수록 원하는 정보를 찾는 데 더 많은 노력이 필요하게 마련이다. 따라서 사람들은 대대로 정보를 구조화하는 방법들을 고안해왔으며, 여러 가지 계층적 구조화 방법들을 사용했었다. 이렇게 구현된 정보의 계층 구조는 키워드 검색을 바탕으로 수평적 계층 구조만을 가지는 구조였다. 자료가 전문화되고 정보를 검색하는 사용자 또한 검색된 정보와 관련된 정보를 더 원하는 현 시점에서 정보의 수평적 계층 구조만으로 사용자의 만족도를 충족할 수 없다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 이 논문에서는 특정 도메인의 문서를 단락별 명사와 동사 및 목적어를 추출하여 해당 동사가 명사 및 목적어를 취할 수 있는 가능한 값을 체크하여 그 단락의 계층적 트리를 구성하고, 단락별 트리를 이용하여 문서의 내용을 트리로 재구성할 수 있게 된다. 이렇게 만들어진 문서의 트리들은 트리의 구조를 보고 특정 문서에 더 구체적인지 아니면 더 일반적인지 측정하여 문서와 문서간의 관계 또한 트리 형식으로 보여주어 사용자가 원하는 정보를 보다 쉽게 검색해 주는 자동화 문서 계층 구조를 제안한다.

인터넷과 웹과 같은 정보사회의 교육환경 변화에 따른 교육정보의 교류 수요의 급속한 증가에 따라 교육정보 자료에 대한 메타데이터의 표준이 필요하게 되었다. 이에 따라 국내에서는 개별적으로 개발되고 있는 교육정보 자료를 통합적으로 공유, 재사용하기 위하여 KEM(Korea Education Metadata) Ver 2.0을 한국교육학술정보원에서 개발하였다. 또한 해외에서는 최근 급증하고 있는 멀티미디어 데이터의 적절한 표현을 위하여 MPEG-7 표준이 제정되었다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 형태의 교육정보 자료 중에서 교육정보 이미지에 대한 검색시스템을 설계하였다. 본 검색시스템의 설계는 한국교육학술정보원에서 개발된 KEM Ver 2.0을 수용하기 위하여 교육정보 이미지의 메타데이터 표현을 KEM Ver 2.0에서 제안된 메타 데이터 표현을 MEPG-7으로 확장한 XML 스키마를 사용하였다. KEM Ver 2.0 기반의 high-level 메타데이터와 MEPG-7 기반의 low-level 메타데이터를 이용함에 따라 국내에서 사용되는 교육정보 이미지의 상호교환 뿐 아니라 체계적이고 빠른 검색과 추출이 가능할 것이다.

As the rapid develoment of internet and information technology, the traditional library has been altered to the digital content service based on the world wide web. This paper proposes a design and implementation of an Artcle Union Catalog System(AUCS) based on metadata. The metadata set for the AUCS consists of twelve Dublin Core elements and one holdings element. The qualifiers of the proposed metadata elements are also represented. The AUCS system has an online cooperated cataloging system using the web interface or the 239.50 protocol, an union cataloging management system, and an integrated information retrieved system service. The integrated search and retrieval service of the AUCS displays not only the summary and detailed bibliographic information, but also the abstract, the table of contents, the digital content, and the copylfax service.

본 논문에서는 온톨로지를 활용하여 생물학 데이터를 효율적으로 통합 검색하기 위한 XQuery일 확장 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 먼저 공개 생물학 온톨로지 등인 GO, UMLS들로부터 의미 있는 정보를 추출하기 위한 생물학 온톨로지 API를 온톨로지별로 정의하였다. 정의된 온톨로지 API는 본 시스템에서 사용하는 XQuery의 사용자 정의 함수로써 포함되며 이 XQuery는 본 시스템에 내장된 XQuery Expander에 의해 확장되어 처리된다. 확장된 XQuery는 온톨로지를 이용함으로써 이질적인 구조와 용어로 이루어진 생물학 데이터들을 통합 검색 할 수 있으며, 온톨로지에 정의되어 있는 지식과 관계들을 확장검색에 활용함으로써 재현율을 획기적으로 높일 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 또한 XQuery의 작성을 용이하게 할 수 있도록 지원하는 GUI 환경도 구현하였다.

The Aircraft Development Department operated a Technical Document Management System that was effectively managed using a database management system for the management of the technical information created by a research and development phase of an aircraft and managed a technical information of a research and development varied by the project on a lot of the aircraft development program. While managing the user management and technical information project, it caused some problems on the workflow of the Work Memo and a search of some technical information, etc. As result, we developed the web-based Integrated Technical Information System(ITIS) which be able to totally manage the Technical Document Management System varied by program. According to the construction and operation of this system, we can access by program using user account and privilege and dramatically increased the productivity of a research and development because of performing the workflow of the Work Memo and some search of technical information by the integrated screen of the ITIS.

In this paper, the purpose of this paper is to lay the foundation for the search system by using and building an online search engine suitable for the search domain and enabling search, conversion, integration and sharing of information. It is to use the ontology to infer hierarchical relationships, deduce objects based on that layer, and extract attributes to search areas that are relevant to the data that the user wants. In order to search for information in this way, the information search system was implemented by entering key words related to 'qualifications'. The implemented system arranged the meaning and relationship of each attribute online so that the general public can search information quickly, easily, and accurately. In addition, the implementation results were compared with two different search engines. Comparable search engines are Naver and Daum, the two major search engines. The search engine of this study, which was built using an ontology suitable for the search domain to perform searches using the semantic web, was evaluated to have excellent results. However, it is thought that a more formalized online location is necessary to increase the accuracy and reliability of search engines and to include more comprehensive categories of search terms.

Now a days, PACS and the other image sharing systems use only high-level metadata for hospital to retrieve images. So if you want to retrieve some images, you have to know exact information about the patient. In this paper, we developed a Image Retrieval System based on MPEG-7 to retrieve medical images more efficiently. This system offers keyword retrieval using high-level metadata based of DICOM and similarity retrieval using low-level metadata based on MFEG-7. And we integrated high-level metadata and low-level metadata to retrieve medical images more exactly.

This study aims to investigate trends of internet searching behavior of users of NAVER, a major Korean search portal. In particular, this study analyzed trends of query submission behaviors, behaviors related to typos, multimedia searching behaviors, and click behaviors. In conducting this study, query logs and click logs of unified search service were analyzed. The results of this study show that there were little changes in the topic and length of queries, the pattern of typos, and multimedia seeking behavior over a year's period. However, click counts of documents have gradually increased over time. The results of this study can be implemented to increase the portal's effective development of internet contents and searching algorithms.

A number of content-based image search methods have been proposed to this point. Each of these systems uses different image data and generates different data depending on the extraction method of different characteristics that the search capabilities of each system cannot be compared and assessed. In particular, there is a problem of applying the identical image data onto the contents based image search system on the web that cannot be compared and assessed. To resolve such a problem, the XML-based FEMAL is hereby presented for extracting data of characteristics generated from specific search system in a way that can be recognized from other starch system. In the experiment using FEMAL, the extract data for characteristics is mutually communicated and integrated and the comparison assessment of search capability is seemed to be available.

음성처리(Voice Processing) 시장은 원격통신 산업에서 지속적으로 가장 빠르게 성장하고 있는 분야중 하나로, 지금까지는 전화망에 기초한 통신 관련 음성응용 기술이었다. 그러나 이제는 데이타 네트워크와 PC터미날까지를 포함한 기술로 그 범위가 확대되고 있으며 그 정의도 재정립되어야 한다. 음성프로세싱 기술은 음성 메시지와 자동전화 프로세싱, 디지탈음성 데이타의 기억장치와 검색을 위해 기본 기술을 사용하는 정보엑세스 응용프로그램, 인지와 통합, 전화화된 신호체계, 컴퓨터와 전화의 통합(CTI)등을 포함한다.
