Design and Implementation of Combined RF Receiver Front End for GPS/GLONASS (GPS/ GLONASS 통합 수신용 RF 전단부의 설계 및 제작)

  • GPS(Global Positioning System) and GLONASS(GLObal Navigation Satellite System) are basic technologies providing the information of the position and the time, and they have various applications such as navigation, survey, control, and so on. However, each GPS and GLONASS has limited number of visible satellites, and, from the view of strategy, it is undesirable to be heavily dependent on only one system. Thus, GPS/GLONASS combined receiver became required to obtain more precise navigation and system stability. In this paper, the RF front end of GPS/GLONASS combined receiver was fabricated on 130$\times$80 $\textrm{mm}^2$ PCB(Printed Circuit Board), and its system application was shown finally one chip possibility of GLONASS receiver is studied.

Interference Influence Analysis on the Interoperability in the Combined Military Communication Systems (통합 군 통신 시스템에서 상호운용으로 인한 간섭 영향 분석)

  • It is essential for the combined military weapon system to be equipped with interoperability for the efficient combat operation in the modern warfare environment. Since most of modern military systems utilize the electromagnetic wave for the radio communication in the network-centric warfare system, they can be vulnerable to the mutual interference among the adjacent combined military systems. In this paper, the typical radio communication systems are modeled with the modulation types of both spread and non-spread spectrum system. The various interference signals were generated for the simulation of the mutual interference influence from the adjacent radar and communication systems. The simulation results show that the detection performance of the victim communication receiver is seriously affected by the various interferences such as the types of modulation and the ratio of the overlapping bandwidth of the adjacent interferers. This result will be useful for defining the criteria of the interference protection in the combined military system for the interoperability in the future.

Patch Antennas for GPS/GLONASS Combined Receiving (GPS/GLONASS 통합 수신을 위한 패치 안테나)

  • Recently, it is considered to combine the GPS receiver with the GLONASS for the improvement of performance and accuracy. This combined system reduces errors by SA for GPS, and has merits to select receivable satellite. In this paper, aperture-coupled patch antenna and small sized ceramic dielectric patch antenna are designed and implemented for GPS/GLONASS combined receiver, which show a wideband characteristics with circular polarization. The manufactured antennas have the bandwidth more than 240 MHz, VSWR less than 1.5:1, and the axial ratio less than 3dB, and satisfy required characteristics of the GPS/GLONASS antenna.

Small-Sized GPS/GLONASS Patch Antenna Using a Ceramic Dielectric (세라믹 유전체를 이용한 소형 GPS/GLONASS 패치 안테나)

  • A small sized ceramic dielectric patch antenna is designed and implemented for GPS/GLONASS combined receiver, and it shows a wideband characteristics with circular polarization. For the miniaturization of the antenna, high-permittivity dielectric material is used, and the wideband characteristics with low axial-ratio is achieved by using dual feed with 90$^{\circ}$ phase difference. The measured data of the manufactured antenna show that the bandwidth is 242 MHz, the axial ratio is less than 3 dB, the half-power beam-width is more than 112$^{\circ}$, and the antenna satisfies the required characteristics of the GPS/GLONASS antenna.

  • 최근 무선통신기반 열차제어시스템의 국산화 개발이 진행 중에 있으며, 이동폐색 및 열차간격의 효율적인 제어를 위해서는 열차에 서 직접 열차의 이동위치와 속도를 정확하게 실시간으로 파악할 수 있어야 한다. 하지만 기존 철도시스템에서는 열차의 위치 및 속도확인을 위해 궤도회로와 타코메터를 이용하고 있으며, 효율적인 열차제어를 위해 지상설비의 도움없이 안전하고 정확한 열차위치정보의 확보가 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 위성항법수신기, 관성센서, 도플러레이더센서, 타코메터와 같이 열차에 탑재 가능한 위치 및 속도센서를 통합 적용하여 단독으로 열차 위치 및 속도파악이 가능한 차상기반 열차위치검지 장치를 구성하고, 한국형 틸팅열차 탑재시험을 통해 위치정확성을 평가하고 철도운영 환경에서의 적용성을 확인한다.

  • 자동차 블랙박스는 자동차의 사고 전/후의 주행상태를 저장하여 사고의 원인을 규명하는데 사용된다. 사고 발생 시의 자동차의 주행상태를 정확히 기록하기 위해서는 자동차의 위치와 속도에 대한 정보도 필요하므로 자동차 블랙박스에서는 위치/속도 정보를 제공하기 위한 항법 시스템이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 GPS 수신기와 MEMS 기반의 IMU를 사용하는 자동차 블랙박스용 항법 시스템을 설계하고 그에 대한 성능평가 결과를 제시하고자 한다.

  • 센서 네트워크 환경에서 데이터 통합을 위한 통신 비용은 매우 고가이다. 센서들의 물리적 제약으로 인하여 배터리의 효율적 활용과 함께 최적의 통신 처리가 요구된다. 이에 따라 센서들 사이에서 측정된 데이터가 서버측 수신기인 베이스 모트까지 도달하는데 최단 경로의 데이터 전달이 요청된다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 각 센서노드에서 주변의 센서 노드들까지 이르는 링크의 통신비용이 주어진 환경에서 최단 비용으로 탐색하는 알고리즘에 대해 살펴본다. 이를 통해 향상된 결과의 알고리즘을 제시하며, 이에 대한 실험 결과는 향후에 살펴보기로 한다.

  • In the GPS/INS integrated system fault detection, algorithm based on a chi-square distribution is commonly used. In this paper, it has been proposed simplified GPS/INS fault detection algorithm that is combined conventional RAIM (Receiver Autonomous Integrity Monitor) and algorithm based on chi-square distribution for UAV using row-grade processor. It use a fault model to verify the proposed algorithm and produced the result.

  • We should measure receiver tracking threshold and command threshold of the satellite in Integrate System Test (IST) in order to check the normal received power range of LEO(Low Earth Orbit) satellite S-band receiver. In this paper, the algorithm of threshold measurement is examined and the result measured in Integrated System Test is displayed. And than, the factor could have an effect on the result of threshold measurement except the capability of receiver itself was analyzed and compensated as many as distorted value according to that analysis.
