  • In this paper, We are proposed the real-time monitor and control mechanism for intelligent robot called URC(Ubiquitous Robotic Companion). URC are intelligent robots designed as to interact with external digital device that can communicate through wire or wireless by integration the network and information technology into traditional robot. In this paper, we implemented the result of this study into the target robot called ISSAC4 and proved its practical worth. We designed it as be able to control on remote by such web browser as anywhere and anytime that show a status information for several controllers, devices, actuators and sensors of robot and guarantee a continuity of real-time image transferring by Client-Pull method and moving control of robot.

  • As electricity consumption is increasing rapidly these days, an urgent. need exists to minimize consumption through smart and intelligent ways in order to prevent a future energy crisis. For this purpose, development of an intelligent peak power management system should be required. As the number of appliances and consumer electrical devices increase, power consumption in unit business tends to grow. Generally, electricity consumption can be minimized using a peak power management system capable of. effectively controlling the load power by continuously monitoring the power. In this work, a peak power management system which consists of arduino microprocessor equipped with ethernet and Zigbee shield is presented. To verify the feasibility of the proposed scheme, laboratory-scale experiments are carried out.

  • 현재 지능형 서비스로봇이 활성화되고 있으며 지능형 로봇 분야에서 청소로봇은 개인생활의 본질적인 운동성을 보조하며 인간과 공생의 형태를 지원하는 로봇으로 성장하고 있다. 청소로봇은 가정에서 다양한 서비스를 제공하기 위하여 가정환경과 적절한 상호작용은 필수적이다. 따라서 로봇이 외부의 서버와 협동을 통한 원격제어는 필수적이라 할 수 있다. 현재 지도 작성이 가능한 청소로봇은 바닥에 센서를 부착하거나 작업환경에 카메라 및 기타 많은 장치를 구축하므로 고가의 장비로 분류되어 일반적으로 활용지 못하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 청소로봇의 효율적인 제어를 위하여 작업환경에서 로봇의 궤적과 센서정보를 원격으로 서버에 전달하고 서버는 이러한 정보를 바탕으로 지도를 작성하고 최적의 작업을 수행할 수 있는 알고리즘을 연산하여 로봇에 전달할 수 있는 방법을 연구하였다. 이는 로봇이 지도 작성을 위한 연산 과정을 줄이므로 수행 시간을 단축하고 로봇에 주어지는 부하를 줄일 수 있다. 또한 원격으로 제어를 수행하므로 무선통신이 가능한 각종 디바이스와 상호 연동할 수 있는 체계를 만들어 유비쿼터스 환경을 구축할 수 있는 계기를 만들므로 청소로봇의 성능이 향상될 수 있음을 보인다. 본 연구에서는 청소로봇을 제작하고 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통하여 전체적으로 주어진 작업을 효율적으로 수행할 수 있음을 보여준다.

  • In this paper, the system to control the PWM inverter-induction motor drive system including ac current sensors, voltage sensors, and an encoder through the network is developed. Although the network-based control for an induction motor drive system is becoming increasingly important at factory automations, there will inevitably be time delay from the sensors to the motor control system, which may cause the instability. The algorithm to minimize the efforts for network induced time delay of sensor data is proposed, using both the synchronous signal and the method for estimating sensor data. The experiments with DSP are carried out in order to verify proposed algorithms.

  • 운전자 보조 시스템을 통한 차량의 전자적인 제어를 위하여, 최근 차량에 탑재된 전자 제어 장치 (ECU; Electronic Control Unit)의 개수가 급증하고 있다. ECU는 효율적인 통신을 위해서 차량용 내부 네트워크인 CAN(Controller Area Network)을 이용한다. 하지만 CAN은 기밀성, 무결성, 접근 제어, 인증과 같은 보안 메커니즘이 고려되지 않은 상태로 설계되었기 때문에, 공격자가 네트워크에 쉽게 접근하여 메시지를 도청하거나 주입할 수 있다. 악의적인 메시지 주입은 차량 운전자 및 동승자의 안전에 심각한 피해를 안길 수 있기에, 최근에는 주입된 메시지를 식별하기 위한 침입 탐지 시스템(IDS; Intrusion Detection System)에 대한 연구가 발전해왔다. 특히 최근에는 AI(Artificial Intelligence) 기술을 이용한 IDS가 다수 제안되었다. 그러나 제안되는 기법들은 특정 공격 데이터셋에 한하여 평가되며, 각 기법에 대한 탐지 성능이 공정하게 평가되었는지를 확인하기 위한 평가 프레임워크가 부족한 상황이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 machine learning/deep learning에 기반하여 제안된 차랑용 IDS 5가지를 선정하고, 기존에 공개된 데이터셋을 이용하여 제안된 기법들에 대한 비교 및 평가를 진행한다. 공격 데이터셋에는 CAN의 대표적인 4가지 공격 유형이 포함되어 있으며, 추가적으로 본 논문에서는 메시지 주기 유형을 활용한 공격 유형을 제안하고 해당 공격에 대한 탐지 성능을 평가한다.

  • Automation of production in modern manufacturing is based on the integration of the various stage of production process by means of processing system. Information processing and network interface are of fundamental importance in programmable device in industrial automation, as they essential in order to active integration in production lines. In this paper, TBC(token bus controller) in the Mini-MAP board performs the function of the MAC sublayer, The LLC sublayer is implemented according to the specification of Class 3 that includes Type 1 and 3. And the MMS services are designed within the scope of implementation MAP 3.0 All the softwares are implemented under the real time executive for real time application of the Mini-MAP and they are loaded into PROMs at the network board. We tested the LLC functions to make use of a protocol analyzer for the token bus protocol. Also the MMS conformance test was carried out by exchanging primitives between a model system(including NIU) and a MMS product that had already passed the conformance the conformance test based on measurement method of network analysis.

  • This paper describes important parameters used to evaluate the insulation performance of power supply components in metro substations. For online fault diagnosis of power supply components, we have developed a new remote condition monitoring system using wireless technology. Our developed system can continuously monitor electric power equipment such as transformers, circuit brakers, and rectifiers and have powerful wireless networking functions.

  • Due to the growth of embedded systems and the development of semi-conductor and storage devices, digital convergence devises is ever growing. Digital convergence devices are equipments into which various functions such as communication, playing movies and wave files and electronic dictionarys are integrated. Example are portable multimedia players(PMPs), personal digital assistants(PDAs), and smart phones. Therefore, these devices need an efficient file system which manages and controls various types of files. In designing such file systems, the size constraint for small embedded systems as well as performance and compatibility should be taken into account. In this paper, we suggest the partial buffer cache technique. Contrary to the traditional buffer cache, the partial buffer cache is used for only the FAT meta data and write-only data. Simulation results show that we could enhance the write performance more than 30% when the file size is larger than about 100 KBytes.

Development of bicycle device to strengthen safety (안전 강화를 위한 자전거 장치 개발)

  • With the growing number of people using bicycle, the number of bicycle accidents also has been increasing. It is said that bicycle accident can be reduced up to 11%~44% when riding a bicycle if LED light is used. The headlight of the bicycle makes exposure effect to the opposite side of bike rider while taillight makes exposure effect to the rear bike rider for improving safety. Bicycle safety device capable of displaying a change of direction by LED is implemented in this study in response to control button signal. This signal makes LED light which is installed in pedal and wheel of bicycle as a module type emitting or flickering during the fixed hour. Bicycle auxiliary device in pedal which is able to improve safety using LED when bikers are riding a bike at night is developed in this study. Bicycle safety device applying wireless communication technology will be expected alternative technology in the future to solve a social problem such as energy, environment, and safety.

  • The local information processing devices are devices that process information by converting voltage, current, and digital electric signals from legacy-type power facility into IEC 61850 based data. It acquires and processes the operation information of legacy-type power facility, performs control of power facility, and interlock function using internal logic. In particular, the time to convert data to process input and output information for a device is important because a number of protection relay input and output signals are handled by only one device. This paper introduces test methods and cases for measuring IEC 61850 communication function and input/output data conversion time of local information processing device.
