Colour Appearance Modelling based on Background Lightness and Colour Stimulus Size in Displays (디스플레이에서 배경의 밝기와 색채 자극의 크기에 따른 컬러 어피어런스 모델링)

  • This study was conducted to reproduce digital colour based on the lightness of the background and size of the colour stimulus so that colour can be similarly perceived under different conditions. With the evolution of display technologies, display devices of various sizes can now reproduce more accurate colour and enhanced images, thus affecting the overall quality of display images. This study reproduced digital colour by considering the visual characteristics of the digital media environment. To accomplish this, we developed a colour appearance model which distinguishes the properties of foveal and peripheral vision. The proposed model is based on existing research on the lightness of the background and size of the colour stimulus. Based on experimental results, an analysis of variance was performed in order to develop the colour appearance model. The algorithm and modelling were verified based on the proposed model. In addition, to apply this model to display technologies, a practical colour control system and a method for handling complex input images were developed. Through this research, colour conversion errors which might occur when the input image is converted to fit a specific display size are resolved from the perspective of the human visual system. As a result, more accurate colour can be displayed and enhanced images can be reproduced.

  • HTML5-based Web platform is established as a next-generation national standards, Web services provider, has been competitively develop support technology HTML5-based app in smart media devices and smart TV. In accordance with the W3C is an international Web standards development organization, Microsoft, Apple, Mozilla, Google, such as Opera, various Web browser vendors are participating in standardization. Gradually emphasized the importance of HTML5, HTML5 -based Web pages, it is necessary to fast load times when contained a large amount of information. Therefore, in this paper, the initial studies in order to reduce the loading time of a web page, configure each browser-specific same Web page, and measure the initial loading time. Also, one by one remove the HTML5 tags, and CSS property, to analyze the tags and attributes of the account for a large proportion to the initial load time. Through the results, it is desired to provide a process which can reduce the Web page.

  • This paper is basically to achieve the high-availability and high-reliability of the control system from the implementation of the fault-tolerant system using the hot-standby sparing technique. To meet the objective, we design and implement a board with fault tolerance I/O bus to detect the fault. Warm-standby sparing technique is the fault tolerance technique usually used for switching control system in present. This technique can be easily implemented, but can not detect the fault quickly and can malfunction because of the hardware fault. The hot-standby sparing fault tolerant technique implemented in this paper is consists of dual processor modules and a I/O processor using fault tolerant I/O bus. The proposed method can find the faults as soon as possible, so it can prevent from wrong operation. Also it is possible to normal re-service due to the short recovering time. To implement the fault-tolerant dual system with fault detection be, two daughter, called FTMA and FTIA, boards designed and implemented are applied to the system. And we also simulated the proposed method to verify the high-availability and high-reliability of the control system using Markov process.

  • Voice over IP (VoIP) is a technology for the delivery of voice communications and multimedia sessions over Internet Protocol (IP) networks. Instead of being transmitted over a circuit-switched network, however, the digital information is packetized, and transmission occurs in the form of IP packets over a packet-switched network which consist of several layers of computers. VoIP Service that used the various techniques has many advantages such as a voice Service, multimedia and additional service with cheap cost and so on. But the various frauds arises using VoIP because VoIP has the existing vulnerabilities at the Internet and based on complex technologies, which in turn, involve different components, protocols, and interfaces. According to research results, during in 2012, 46 % of fraud calls being made in VoIP. The revenue loss is considerable by fraud call. Among we will analyze for Toll Bypass Fraud by the SIM Box that occurs mainly on the international call, and propose the measures that can detect. Typically, proposed solutions to detect Toll Bypass fraud used DPI(Deep Packet Inspection) based on a variety of detection methods that using the Signature or statistical information, but Fraudster has used a number of countermeasures to avoid it as well. Particularly a Fraudster used countermeasure that encrypt VoIP Call Setup/Termination of SIP Signal or voice and both. This paper proposes the solution that is identifying equipment of Toll Bypass fraud using those countermeasures. Through feature of Voice traffic analysis, to detect involved equipment, and those behavior analysis to identifying SIM Box or Service Sever of VoIP Service Providers.

An Effective Multimedia Data Transmission in Ad-Hoc Networks Based on Bluetooth (블루투스를 이용한 애드혹 네트워크에서의 효율적인 멀티미디어 데이터 전송)

  • Basing on Piconet, The Bluetooth System forms network and transmits data. There is one Master and maximum 7 Slave bluetooth devices in one piconet. A job scheduler performed by Master bluetooth device, gives the chance of data transmission to Slave bluetooth devices, which connected to Master, using polling method in piconet. The maximum data rate is 723.2 kb/s when it uses ACL link with DH5 packet type in a piconet which is constructed by two bluetooth devices. However, if there are one master and two slave devices in a piconet, then the maximum data rate is reduced to a half(361.6kb/s), because a master device has to support same data rate for all connected devices. And, there is the defect in scatternet when data transmission rate becomes low(Maximum rate: 302.2kb/s). This paper proposals the new ad-hoc network topology called "DoublePico"for overcome the low data transmission in scatternet which is constructed by piconets. The method of doublepico that represented in this paper makes high data transfer rate(Maximum rate: 457.57kb/s) in bluetooth ad-hoc networks.

Blind Adaptive Equalization of Partial Response Channels (부분 응답 채널에서의 블라인드 적응 등화 기술에 관한 연구)

  • In digital data transmission/storage systems, the compensation for channel distortion is conducted normally using a training sequence that is known a priori to both the sender and receiver. The use of the training sequences results in inefficient utilization of channel bandwidth. Sometimes, it is also impossible to send training sequences such as in the burst-mode communication. As such, a great deal of attention has been given to the approach requiring no training sequences, which has been called the blind equalization technique. On the other hand, to utilize the limited bandwidth effectively, the concept of partial response (PR) signaling has widely been adopted in both the high-speed transmission and high-density recording/playback systems such as digital microwave, digital subscriber loops, hard disk drives, digital VCRs and digital versatile recordable disks and so on. This paper is concerned with blind adaptive equalization of partial response channels whose transfer function zeros are located on the unit circle, thereby causing some problems in performance. Specifically we study how the problems of blind channel equalization associated with the PR channels can be improved. In doing so, we first discuss the existing methods and then propose new structures for blind PR channel equalization. Our structures have been extensively tested by computer simulation and found out to be encouraging in performance. The results seem very promising as well in terms of the implementation complexity compared to the previous approach reported in literature.

Wideband Class-J Power Amplifier Design Using Internal Matched GaN HEMT (내부정합된 GaN HMET를 이용한 광대역 J-급 전력증폭기 설계)

  • In order to satisfy the diffusion of multimedia service in mobile communication and the demand for high-speed communication, it is essential to modify and improve high efficiency, wideband and nonlinear characteristic of multiband power amplifier. This research is designed to implement a single-stub matching circuit as a 2nd harmonic one that meets conditions of the Class-J power amplifier. Low characteristic impedance of the single-stub line is necessary to suit conditions of wideband Class-J. This research uses ceramic substrates having high permittivity to implement the single-stub line with low characteristic impedance, which eventually results in an amplifier satisfying the output impedance terms of Class-J in wideband frequency range. This result attributes to use of GaN HEMT packaged with a 2nd harmonic matching circuit and external fundamental circuit. The measurement results of the Class-J amplifier confirms the following characteristics: more than output power of 50 W(47 dBm) in bandwidth of 1.8~2.7 GHz(0.9GHz), maximum drain efficiency of 72.6 %, and maximum PAE characteristic of 66.5 %.

  • 국방 부문에 종사하는 관리자들은 국방정보시스템 사업관리에 있어서 최신정보기술에 대한 기본적인 사항은 알고있어야 효율적이고 효과적이며 성공적인 사업관리를 진행할 수 있을 것이다. 국방 부문에 종사하는 관리자들이 저비용 고효율의 국방정보시스템을 건설하고 운영 유지관리 하기 위하여 알아야 할 핵심 및 최신정보기술은 크게 인공지능기술, 멀티미디어 정보화 기술, 가상현실 기술, 시뮬레이션 기술, 텔레프레즌스 기술, 나노테크놀로지 기술, 데이터베이스 기술, 병렬처리 기술, 로봇공학 기술, 소프트웨어 공학에 관련된 기술 등이 있다. 그러나 국방부문에 종사하는 정보통신 전문 인력을 제외한 관리자들이 국방관련 사업관리를 수행하면서 정보기술에 대한 이해 수준이 비교적 낮기 때문에 효율적으로 국방사업을 준비, 계획, 추진하기 어려운 실정이다. 따라서 국방부문에 종사하는 관리자들이 정보기술을 알기 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 국방부문 핵심지능형정보기술 발전 및 군 활용방안을 이해하기 쉽도록 작성하며 효율적인 사업관리가 이루어질 수 있는 방안을 연구하였다. 본 논문은 국방부문핵심 지능정보기술 식별 및 활용방안을 연구하여 핵심적으로 식별된 사항들을 우리 국방부문의 $C^4$I(지휘, 통제, 통신, 컴퓨터시스템)시스템, 내장형 무기시스템, 각종 교육훈련 정보시스템, 자원관리 정보시스템 등에 어떻게 적용할 것이며 적용시 기대효과는 무엇인가를 제시토록 하여 국방부문에 종사하는 관리자들이 각종 국방사업을 조정, 통제, 확인, 감독, 준비/계획하면서 참고하여 저비용 고효율의 국방관련 각층 사업을 관리할 수 있는 능력을 배양시키도록 연구를 수행하였다. 국방관련 각종 사업을 관리할 수 있는 능력을 배양시키도록 연구를 수행하였다. 국방부문 핵심지능정보기술 발전 및 활용 방안에 포함될 주요 내용을 요약하여 제시하였다.의 경향성을 나타내는 오차 주기(error cyc1e)를 이용함으로써 고객들의 수요의 경향성을 좀 더 세밀한 부분까지 파악할 수 있게 해 준다.ction, secondary electron microscopy, atomic force microscoy, $\alpha$-step, Raman scattering spectroscopu, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy 및 micro hardness tester를 이용하여 기판 bias 전압이 DLC 박막의 특성에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 분석결과 본 연구에서 제작된 DLC 박막은 탄소와 수소만으로 구성되어 있으며, 비정질 상태임을 알 수 있었다. 기판 bias 전압의 증가에 따라 박막의 두께가 감소됨을 알 수 있었고, -150V에서는 박막이 거의 만들어지지 않았으며, -200V에서는 기판 표면이 식각되었다. 이것은 기판 bias 전압과 ECR 플라즈마에 의한 이온충돌 효과 때문으로 판단되며, 150V 이하에서는 증착되는 양보다 re-sputtering 되는 양이 더 많을 것으로 생각된다. 기판 bias 전압을 증가시킬수록 플라즈마에 의한 이온충돌 현상이 두드러져 탄소와 결합하고 있던 수소원자들이 떨어져 나가는 탈수소화 (dehydrogenation) 현상을 확인할 수 있었으며, 이것은 C-H 결합에너지가 C-C 결합이나 C=C 결합보다 약하여 수소 원자가 비교적 해리가 잘되므로 이러한 현상이 일어난다고 판단된다. 결합이 끊어진 탄소 원자들은 다른 탄소원자들과 결합하여 3차원적 cross-link를 형성시켜 나가면서 내부 압축응력을 증가시키는 것으로 알려져 있으며, hardness 시험 결과로 이것을 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고 표면거칠기는 기판 bias 전압을 증가시킬수록 더 smooth 해짐을 확인

  • Recently, the standard work of the copyright of the Digital content is not completed. And the content providers are developing self's copyright protecting technique. here is some problem such as the confusion existed in the copyright protecting and management system. The reason is that the company using different technique when developing the Digital Contents. Now, there is a standard working leaded by the MPEG. It's called MPEG-21 Multimedia framework and the REL is parted of the Intellectual Property Management and Protection included the framework. And the REL's standard working is completed. The Intellectual Property Management and Protection system contain license server, tool server, metadate server and consume server. In this paper, In order to management and protect the Digital Content copyright, We applying the REL, One of the contents of the MPEG-21 framework to design and implementation the License Server manage the settlement and the consumption information and the Tool Server manage and transport the Tools used from Digital Contents formation to the Digital Contents consumption.

(Buffer Management for the Router-based Reliable Multicast) (라우터 기반의 신뢰적 멀티캐스트를 위한 버퍼 관리)

  • As services requesting data transfer from a sender to a multiple number of receivers become popular, efficient group communication mechanisms like multicast get much attention. Since multicast is more efficient than unicast in terms of bandwidth usage and group management for group communication, many multicast protocols providing scalability and reliability have been proposed. Recently, router-supported reliable multicast protocols have been proposed because routers have the knowledge of the physical multicast tree structure and, in this scheme, repliers which retransmit lost packets are selected by routers. Repliers are selected dynamically based on the network situation, therefore, any receiver within a multicast group can become a replier Hence, all receivers within a group maintains a buffer for loss recovery within which received packets are stored. It is an overhead for all group receivers to store unnecessary packets. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a new scheme which reduces resource usage by discarding packets unnecessary for loss recovery from the receiver buffer. Our scheme performs the replier selection and the loss recovery of lost packets based on the LSM [1] model, and discards unnecessary packets determined by ACKs from erasers which represent local groups.
