A Exploratory Study on the Influential Factors of Resilience in Female High School Students (여고생의 회복탄력성 영향요인에 대한 탐색적 연구)

  • This purpose of this study was to survey state-anxiety, depression and resilience in female high school students and to identify factors influencing resilience. Data were collected 177 female high school students. Data were analyzed using ANOVA, t-test, Scheffe's test, Stepwise Regression Analysis, Pearson's correlation coefficient. The mean score of state-anxiety was 39.56±11.37. There was statistically significant difference in state-anxiety on variable such as academic achievement, satisfaction of school life, parental rearing attitudes, satisfaction of family life. The mean score of depression was 7.53±8.52. There were statistically significant difference in depression on variables such as relationship with school fellow, satisfaction of school life, parental rearing attitudes, satisfaction of family life. The mean score of resilience was 98.36±17.76. There was statistically significant difference in resilience on variables such as academic achievement, parental rearing attitudes, Resilience was negatively correlated with state-anxiety. Resilience was negatively correlated with depression. Self-esteem was positively correlated with depression. Factor influencing resilience were state-anxiety, high academic achievement, which explained 49.6%. Findings provide useful information for further studies in female high school students. Further research with careful sampling will be needed to enhance the resilience of male and female high school students,

A Research about Spiritual Program Influence Upon the Anxiety and Depression of Women Going Through their Menopause (영성프로그램이 갱년기 여성의 불안과 우울에 미치는 영향)

  • Objectives: The objective of this study was to the effects of spiritual program on anxiety and depression among women in menopause. Methods: Subjects are 20 women in menopause. Structured questionnaires were used for data collection before, after and 6 month later Spiritual program, and descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA of SPSS 21.1 program were performed for data analysis. Results: Anxiety(F=8.55, p=.009) and depression(F=8.76, p=.001) has significant difference according to stages. Significant factors influencing anxiety included education(F=4.13, p=.034) and career of christianity(F=10.57, p=.001). Conclusion: Spiritual program is concluded by us it has proven that psychological healing program like anxiety and depression so has been practiced actively. And Spiritual program is needed according to general characteristics.

The Relationship between Anxiety, Anger and Fatigue among Stress factor of Nursing Students in Clinical Practice (간호학생들의 임상실습시 스트레스에 따른 불안, 분노 및 피로경험)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between anxiety, anger and fatigue among stress factor in clinical practice of nursing students. The subjects were 197 nursing students who have practiced at the hospital in T city. Data was analyzed by using descriptive statistics, ANOVA, t-test and pearson's correlation coefficient. The mean score for stress was 3.82. The mean score for anxiety was 48.82. The mean score for anger was 1.17. The mean score for fatigue was 30.96. The factor of stress was a significant difference of anxiety according to conference, theory and practice, satisfaction of clinical practice. The factor of stress was a significant difference of anger according to report, theory and practice, orientation, nurse, environment. The factor of stress was a significant difference of fatigue according to conference, orientation, environment, patient relationship. In results, This study revealed that there was a significant correlation among stress, anxiety, anger and fatigue of nursing students in clinical practice.

Effects of Cognitive Function and Depression on Anxiety in Elderly People-Convergent approach (노인의 인지기능과 우울이 불안에 미치는 영향-융복합적 접근)

  • This study was done to examine the relation of cognitive function, depression and anxiety in elderly people above 65 years of age, and to identify factors influencing anxiety. The data were collected from June 1 to August 30 2014. Data were collected by questionnaire from 363 elderly people. The instruments for this study were MMSE-DS, depression, anxiety. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple linear regression with the SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. According to results, the significant factors influencing anxiety were sleeping time(${\beta}=-.249$, p<.001), depression(${\beta}=.218$, p<.001), cognitive function(${\beta}=-.209$, p<.001), occupation(${\beta}=-.133$, p=.006). The study reveals that it is necessary to develop a convergent program that maintain adequate sleep, prevents of cognitive impairment and decreases depression.

Effects of Dan Jeon Breathing on Depression, Anxiety and Fatigue of Hemodialysis Patients (단전호흡이 혈액투석환자의 우울, 불안 및 피로에 미치는 효과)

  • This study was performed to examine the effects of Dan Jeon Breathing on depression, anxiety and fatigue of hemodialysis patients. This study used the nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. Before applying the Dan Jeon Breathing program, the patients were divided into the experimental group and the control group, respectively, and were requested to report their self-ratings to measure their depression, anxiety and fatigue. The Dan Jeon Breathing program was given to both groups for 60 minutes a day and 2 times a week for 12 weeks. The data collected from the program were analysed by means of ${\chi}^2$ test, Fisher's exact probability test, Shapiro-Wilk, t-test and Mann-Whitney U test. The analyses revealed that the depression (t=-2.459, ${\rho}$=.019) and anxiety (t=-2.541, ${\rho}$=.016) levels of the experimental group decreased after Dan Jeon Breathing compared to those of the control group. The difference in fatigue level was statistically insignificant (Z=-1.871, ${\rho}$=.061), though. From the above results, it was verified that Dan Jeon Breathing could be used as nursing intervention for hemodialysis patients to mitigate their depression and anxiety.

Interpersonal Relationship Anxiety and College Adjustment according to Communication Style of Nursing Freshmen (간호대학 신입생의 의사소통 스타일에 따른 대인관계불안과 대학생활적응)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the types of subjectivity on communication styles of nursing freshmen by using the Q Methodology, and examine interpersonal relationship anxiety and college adjustment according to communication styles. Participants were 89 nursing freshmen, and data were collected from 7. March to 23. September 2016. Data were analyzed by using PC-QUANL program for communication styles, and using descriptive statistics, Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis test with SPSS windows version 24.0 program for interpersonal relationship anxiety and college adjustment according to communication styles. As a result, 4 communication styles were identified, 'Considerate-empathetic', 'Tense-passive', 'Vulnerable-easily distracted', and 'Facilitative-leading'. 'Tense-passive', 'Vulnerable-easily distracted' showed significantly higher interpersonal relationship anxiety than 'Considerate -empathetic'. 'Considerate-empathetic' showed significantly higher college adjustment than 'Vulnerable-easily distracted'. The result of this study is expected to be used for developing communication educational programs and provide a foundation to improve college adjustment of nursing freshmen.

Anxiety Reduction Effect of Tea-Culture Therapy Program for Mentally Retarded People (차문화치료 프로그램을 통한 지적장애인의 불안감소 효과)

  • This study is targeted for the mentally retarded people. They need to reduce their inherent anxiety in order to social adjust to new environment as adults. Tea-culture therapy is build and carried out for anxiety reduction through the program which can make them know and respect their true self in the new tea-culture environment. The participants of this study is made up of 22 handicapped people (experimental group 11, control group 11), rated level 1-3, who belong to the community center of the disabled and applied for the program. The result shows that anxiety scale average score was 46.82(SD 2.32) in the pretest but 34.53(SD 2.98) in the posttest. namely, 12. 27 was reduced. Accordingly, this study indicates that anxiety level of participants can be reduced statistically meaningfully through tea-culture therapy program.

Relationship between Anxiety and Cellular Phone Addiction in Undergraduate Students: The Mediating Effect of Adjustment to College Life (대학생의 불안과 휴대폰 중독과의 관계: 대학생활적응의 매개효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate an association between anxiety, cellular phone addiction and adjustment to college life in undergraduate students using structural equating model (SEM). This study was verify whether adjustment to college life mediated the relationship between anxiety and cellular phone addiction. Participants of this study were 479 undergraduate students in Gwangju city in accordance to convenience sampling. SPSS 15.0 was employed for descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient, calculation for cronbach's ${\alpha}$ coefficient, exploratory factor analysis. Also, AMOS 7.0 was employed for confirmative factor analysis and path analysis of casual relation among variables and effect. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. First, anxiety had a negative effect on adjustment to college life and adjustment to college life had a negative effect on cellular phone addiction. Second, anxiety had a positive effect on cellular phone addiction. Third, it was founded that adjustment to college life partially mediated the relationship between anxiety and cellular phone addiction.

Effects on Preventive Behavior Intention to Particulate Matter by Risk Perception Attitude and Anxiety : Focus on Adoption of RPA Model (위험인식태도와 불안이 미세먼지 예방행동의도에 미치는 영향: RPA모델 적용을 중심으로)

  • This study aimed to understand the effects on preventive behavior intention to particulate matter by risk perception attitude and anxiety. Also, to expand applicable target and range of RPA model, add anxiety. To measure main variables of RPA model, did a survey with 570 college students. With a data, analyzed by correlation, one-way ANOVA and three-way ANOVA. As a result, perceived risk and efficacy effect on intention to preventive action and information seeking. And an anxiety factor effects on intention to preventive action and information seeking also. And distinguished 4 groups of RPA model, there were meaningful differences between intention to preventive action and information seeking by groups, and a factor of anxiety effects certain groups. As a result, it can suggest how to plan and enforce message on preventive campaign of particulate matter. In follow research, with social psychological factors, it will helpful to identify health activities about particulate matters.

The Effects of Depression and Social Anxiety on Happiness of Nursing Students (간호대학생의 우울 및 사회불안이 행복에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to identify the factors affecting the depression and social anxiety of nursing students on happiness. The study subjects were 316 nursing students, and data were collected from October to November 2018. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. The study showed that happiness and depression had negative effects on social anxiety, and depression and social anxiety had negative effects on happiness. Based on these results, it is necessary to prepare measures to reduce the depression and social anxiety experienced by nursing students in order to promote the happiness of nursing students. In the future, exploratory research should be continued considering the factors affecting the happiness of nursing college students in consideration of various factors and environments.
