  • For statistical modeling, the model parameters are usually estimated by maximizing a probability measure, such as the likelihood or the posterior. In contrast, a variational Bayesian method treats the parameters of a model as probability distributions and computes optimal distributions for them rather than values. It has been shown that this approach effectively avoids the overfitting problem, which is common with other parameter optimization methods. This paper applies a variational Bayesian technique to surface fitting for height field data. Then, we propose point cloud denoising based on the basic surface fitting technique. Validation experiments and further tests with scan data verify the robustness of the proposed method.

  • We review the characteristics of a geometric mean and statistical inferences based on geometric means. We also show that the statistical results obtained by the logarithmic transform and back-transformation are related to geometric means and explain how to interpret the results produced in this process.

  • 위험률 변화점모형에 대해 변화점의 최우추정을 고려하였다. 추정량의 점근분포 및 붓스트랩 분포의 성질을 알아보고 변화점의 신뢰구간을 제안한다. 변화점의 위치 및 변화점을 전후하여 위험률의 값에 따라 모의실험을 수행하고 포함확률을 조사하였다. 추정량의 점근분포가 매우 복잡하기 때문에 이를 직접 이용한 변화점의 통계적 추론이 매우 어려운 점을 감안할 때 제안된 방법은 바람직한 대안이 될 수 있다.

  • EM 알고리즘은 통계적 화상복원에서 흔히 사용되는 방법이다. 특히 OSL 알고리즘은 다소 복잡한 형태의 페널티 함수가 주어지더라도 쉽게 반복 알고리즘을 유도할 수 있다는 장점을 갖는다. 그러나 이 알고리즘은 평활상수의 매우 제한된 영역에서만 수렴이 허용되어, 화상복원시 실험자의 경험의 폭을 상당히 제약하는 단점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 OSL 알고리즘을 변형하여, 수렴 허용영역이 확대된 평활상수를 갖는 알고리즘을 제시하고 그 수렴성질을 밝히며, 화상실험을 통해 제안된 알고리즘의 유용성을 밝힌다.

A Statistical Analysis on the Chemical Compositions & Mechanical Properties of Weathering Steels (내후성강재의 화학성분 및 기계적성질에 관한 통계적 분석)

  • The application in steel structures is increasing the mill sheet for the weathering steels by minimum maintenance cost in a life cycle cost. These have been collected and statistically analyzed to investigate chemical compositions, mechanical properties, weldability indices, weathering index and impact absorbed energy. From this study, although the band of dispersion in chernical compositions, mechanical properties and impact absorbed energy of the weathering steels appeared a little larger, the results revealed that these values have adequately satisfied the standard values of the Korean Standard. Furthermore, it was found that the weldability indices and the weathering index for the weathering steels have respectively satisfied the value prescribed by the Japanese Highway Specification and ASTM.

  • In this study, we have quantitatively estimated the mechanical properties of structural welding steels widely used in steel structures after correcting the millsheets of the steels using statistical technique. From this result, in present, the mechanical properties of the steels produced in domestics have satisfied the prescribed values in Korean Standards. The mechanical properties of the steels were dependent upon the plate thickness & class of the steels. Also, there have been linear relations between the plate thickness & class of the steels and the mechanical properties of the steels. And the results of this study have shown the similar tendencies with the existing results. Because the upper limit value of yield strength is not prescribed at Korean Standards in present, it is necessary to prescribe the upper limit value of yielding ratio(or yield strength) in order to assure the deformation performance of the steels.

  • The tensile tests to identify the statistical tensile properties and the acoustic emission characteristics were conducted for STS304 stainless steel at $600^{\circ}C,\;700^{\circ}C$. From tensile tests performed by constant cross head speed controls with 1mm/min, rates at each elevated temperature, the scatters were observed in tensile strength, reduction of area, elongation and the acoustic emission parameters. The effect of temperature on the scatter of tensile behavior was larger at $700^{\circ}C$. The distributions of tensile properties was well followed in 3-parameter Weibull. The AE counts and energy of the $700^{\circ}C$ specimens were smaller than the $600^{\circ}C$.

  • 본 논문에서는 비밀성 메커니즘의 암호학적인 안전성에 대한 체계적인 분석을 통하여 난수열의 각종 암호학적, 통계적 성질에 기반한 평가 기법을 소개하고 이를 패키지로써 구현하였다. 본 패키지는 기존의 알려진 통계적 검정 기법들 뿐만 아니라 다양한 암호학적 특성에 기반한 검정 기법들을 종합적으로 분석하여 구현함으로써 차후 개발이 예상되는 새로운 스트림 및 블록 암호 알고리즘의 설계와 안전성 평가에 유용하게 적용될 수 있다.
