The purpose of this study was to examine the direction of social welfare education in the 4th Industrial Revolution as well as discuss the overall direction of social welfare education such as competency and curriculum and the educational dimension of social welfare professionals. Using Text Network Analysis, 223 studies published from 2005 to 2019 in the Korean Journal of Social Welfare Education were examined in order to explore the direction of social welfare education in the 4th Industrial Revolution. Using Word cloud, overall frequency was analyzed. As a result of key words analysis, social welfare education (43), research method (28), and social welfare field practice (23) were analyzed as influential key words. The directions of social welfare education in the 4th Industrial Revolution era are as follows. First, competency, curriculum, and qualifications are necessary in general social welfare education. Second, education centering on social workers and social welfare students, who are social welfare professionals, is necessary. Third, the ethical sensitivity of future social welfare should be carefully established. Finally, the need for a shared welfare system must be further studied.
It is more salient in the high-tech industry to cooperate even among competitors in order to promptly respond to the changes in product architecture. In this sense, 'co-opetition,' which is the combination word between 'cooperation' and 'competition,' is the new business term in the strategic management and represents the two concepts "simultaneously co-exist." From this view, this study set up the research purposes as follows: 1) investigating the corporate managerial and technological behavioral characteristics in the co-opetition of the global display industry. 2) verifying the emerging factors during the co-opetition behavior hereafter. 3) suggesting the strategic direction focusing on the co-opetition behavioral characteristics. To this end, this study used co-word network analysis to understand the structure in context level of the co-opetition. In order to understand topics on each network, we clustered the keywords by community detection algorithm based on modularity and labeled the cluster name. The results show that there were increasing patterns of competition rather than cooperation. Especially, the litigations for mutual control against Korean firms much more severely occurred and increased as time passed by. Investigating these network structure in technological evolution perspective, there were already active cooperation and competition among firms in the early 2000s surrounding the issues of OLED-related technology developments. From the middle of the 2000s, firm behaviors have focused on the acceleration of the existing technologies and the development of futuristic display. In other words, there has been competition to take leadership of the innovation in the level of final products such as the TV and smartphone by applying the display panel products. This study will provide not only better understanding on the context of the display industry, but also the analytical framework for the direction of the predictable innovation through analyzing the managerial and technological factors. Also, the methods can support CTOs and practitioners in the technology planning who should consider those factors in the process of decision making related to the strategic technology management and product development.

As increasingly diverse kinds of information materials are available on the Internet, it becomes a challenge to define an adequate level of metadata provision for each different type of material in the context of digital libraries. This study explores issues of metadata provision for a particular type of material, statistical tables. Statistical data always involves numbers and numeric values which should be interpreted with an understanding of underlying concepts and constructs. Because of the unique data characteristics, metadata in the statistical domain is essential not only for finding and discovering relevant data, but also for understanding and using the data found. However, in statistical metadata research, more emphasis has been put on the question of what metadata is necessary for processing the data and less on what metadata should be presented to users. In this study, a case study was conducted to gauge the status of metadata provision for statistical tables on the Internet. The websites of two federal statistical agencies in the United States were selected and a content analysis method was used for that purpose. The result showing insufficient and inconsistent provision of metadata demonstrate the need for more discussions on statistical metadata from the ordinary web users' perspective.

Recently, there has been a dramatic increase in the number of cases that have formed and operated teachers' learning communities through cross-curricular consulting at the school level. The purpose of this study is to explore cross-curricular instructional consulting as an activity of teachers' learning communities at the school level, and investigate the effect of cross-curricular instructional consulting on middle school science teaching. We analyzed features and limitations of cross-curricular instructional consulting revealed in three case studies in middle school, including open classes and instructional consulting sessions, and conducted additional instructional consulting on the same videotaped science classes with science experts from outside. According to the results, science inquiry experiments are often replaced with text reading and interpreting, students' misconceptions and exact scientific representations are ignored, and the goal setting as well as class coverage has been questionable and disputable in science classes resulted from cross-curricular instructional consulting. Discussed in the conclusion are the necessity of cross-curricular instructional consulting in middle school, and ways to overcome limitations of the method of cross-curricular instructional consulting, including alternatives to a praise-only policy in cross-curricular instructional consulting, ways to use cross-curricular instructional consulting without compromising the subject's essence, and ways to improve the undue authority of consultants.
The changes in media environments have impacted on the ways in which knowledges are formed and transmitted and therefore the relevance of the traditional school subjects have been increasingly questioned. In this context, the discourses of the reformation of the 21st century schooling have focused on convergence education and media literacy education. Therefore, it is worth paying attention to the fact that the practices of transdisciplinary integrated curriculum focusing on digital media content are grown voluntarily in schools. This research is a case study of a convergence educational project that was initiated by a middle school teacher who designed and implemented a unique program of the transdisciplinary class of Korean focusing on reading webtoons with the linked program of a 'Book Club Activity' that was a part of 'Creative Experiential Activitites'. Based on the analysis of the documents, participatory observation of a main event and the interview with the teacher, this article discusses how the webtoon-focused convergence education project might have achieved meaningful connections between a subject-focused learning and a creative experiences-focused learning; between in and out of school learning spaces; between the real and imaginative worlds; and between the boundaries of the popular culture and the arts. The main finding of the research can be summarized as follows: Firstly, webtoon as the subject of the study can be an effective medium of transdisciplinary integrated curriculum. Secondly, the convergence project based on webtoons can create meaningful learning spaces in and out of school environments in terms of creating more learner-participatory learning culture as well as connecting students' everyday lives, popular arts and their learning about culture. Another important finding of this research is the rediscovery of the teacher's role in terms of mediating the voices of students as readers in the process of constructing and implementing the integrated curriculum.
What is 'nation' and 'nationalism?' What does 'korean nationalism' mean? And how is korean nationalism represented through a chain of films called 'the korean blockbuster films?' The purpose of this study is to answer to these questions. The characteristics of the korean blockbuster films have been studied for quite a long time and the researchers have agreed with the context about nationalism in a large sense. However, majority of the studies ends up in the journalistic or impressionistic criticism without any theoretical discussion. Few theoretical criticisms also have founded on the formation process of nation of the Western Europe and their nationalism. Hence I would like to add the discourse of korean nationalism and to seize more accurately the social/cultural/historical peculiarity of the korean blockbuster films. In addition, as non-nationalist narratives have recently emerged, korean blockbuster films are entering to the evolution process. On this, the significance of this study seems to exist in providing a cornerstone to the expected evolution theory of the korean blockbuster films by means of complementation and reestablishment of nationalism of their first generation. and , presenting socio-historical peculiarity of the Korean nation, are examined by the close textual analysis.

Technology roadmap is a powerful tool that considers relationships of technology, product and market and referred as a supporting technology strategy and planning. There are numerous studies that have attempted to develop technology roadmap and case studies on specific technology areas. However, a number of studies have been dependant on brainstorming and discussion of expert group, delphi technique as qualitative analysis rather than systemic and quantitative analysis. To overcome the limitation, patent analysis considered as quite quantitative analysis is employed in this paper. Therefore, this paper proposes new technology roadmapping based on patent citation network considering technology life cycle and suggests planning for undeveloped technology but considered as promising. At first, patent data and citation information are collected and patent citation network is developed on the basis of collected patent information. Secondly, we investigate a stage of technology in the life cycle by considering patent application year and the technology life cycle, and duration of technology development is estimated. In addition, subsequent technologies are grouped as nodes of a super-level technology to show the evolution of the technology for the period. Finally, a technology roadmap is drawn by linking these technology nodes in a technology layer and estimating the duration of development time. Based on technology roadmap, technology planning is conducted to identify undeveloped technology through text mining and this paper suggests characteristics of technology that needs to be developed in the future. In order to illustrate the process of the proposed approach, technology for hydrogen storage is selected in this paper.
This study investigates the social discourse for Korean women's leisure culture and analyzes the conflicts between the ideologies which affected to the women's leisure issues with the social and cultural context. For this purpose, this study analyzed a sum of 652,513 words of 4,614 news articles about Korean women's leisure by applying semantic network analysis. In the 1960s, both the enthusiasm for 'modernization' and 'good wife and wise mother' ideologies were simultaneously affected to women's leisure discourse. 'The good wife and wise mother' ideology have a stronger impact on women's leisure culture in the 1970s. In the 1980s, even though the Korean women had higher education background and advanced social status compared to the former periods, both 'good wife and wise mother' ideology and 'modern career women' ideology conflicted each other. The conflicts between the two ideologies were intensified in the 1990s and the women tended to sacrifice their leisure in the course of the ideological conflicts in the 2000s. In the 2010s, women who exhausted due to the intensified conflicts between the two ideologies showed preference for passive forms of leisure.
In the era of the 4th industrial revolution, the development of information technology brought various benefits, but it also increased social interest in privacy issues. As the possibility of personal privacy violation by big data increases, academic discussion about privacy management has begun to be active. While the traditional view of privacy has been defined at various levels as the basic human rights, most of the recent research trends are mainly concerned only with the information privacy of online privacy protection. This limited discussion can distort the theoretical concept and the actual perception, making the academic and social consensus of the concept of privacy more difficult. In this study, we analyze the privacy concept that is exposed on the internet based on 12,000 news data of the portal site for the past one year and compare the difference between the theoretical concept and the socially accepted concept. This empirical approach is expected to provide an understanding of the changing concept of privacy and a research direction for the conceptualization of privacy for current situations.

This study is an action study that plans a instructional strategy for improving experimental activities and interactions in online science classes and suggests improvement plans based on the results. To this end, from July 7 to September 9, 2020, the 'Earth and the Moon' unit class was conducted for 20 6th grade elementary school students located in G Metropolitan City. For the class, smart devices and alternative experiments were planned in the experimental activity category, and an online chat room and Q&A strategy were planned in the interaction category. Among the collected data, class activity papers, homework assignments, reflection journals, online conversation contents, and Q&A contents were input into the matrix and analyzed by writing analytical texts. As a result of the implementation, smart devices and alternative experiments provided opportunities for exploration, but there was a risk of misconception formation and hindered experimental activities. The online chat room and Q&A provided opportunities for communication and examination and feedback on scientific concepts. Through this action study, the researcher was able to reflect on the class while writing class reflection notes, and suggested the role of smart devices in terms of the effectiveness and efficiency of science classes.
