A Study on the Analysis of Centrality and Brokerage Measures of Journal Citation Network - Focusing on KCI Journals - (학술지 인용 네트워크의 중심성과 중개성 분석에 관한 연구 - KCI 등재 학술지를 중심으로 -)

  • This study aims to analyze and compare centrality and brokerage measures of journal citation network focusing on textmining research. The analytic sample was 193 academic articles collected from 136 KCI journals published in 2018. The journal citation network was constructed based on citation relations. The characteristics, centralities, and brokerages of network was analyzed. The journal citation network consisted 136 nodes and 413 links with directed and weight. According to the five types of centrality(out-degree, in-degree, out-closeness, in-closeness, betweenness), journals of social sciences, engineering, and interdisciplinary research showed higher centrality. Social sciences, engineering and interdisciplinary research journals also showed higher brokerages as a result of brokerage analysis which identify five types of brokerage roles(coordinator, gatekeeper, representative, consultant, liaison). The centralities and brokerages of journals are positively correlated. This study suggested how to construct journal citation network from the articles focusing on certain topics. This was meaningful study in terms of conducting brokerage analysis and comparing it with centrality in the journal citation network.

  • This paper introduces a test-bed toolkit for evaluating and enhancing text analysis engines which extract technological knowledge from articles, patents, reports and so forth. The toolkit consists of two test-beds for technical entity recognition and relation extraction engines, which are capable of identifying technical entities and predicting semantic relation types between the entities. With using the introduced toolkits, users and developers can efficiently perform the execution monitoring and error analysis of the technical text analysis engines.

  • Many methods had been developed to improve the accuracy of extracting information from a vast amount of data. This paper combined a number of natural language processing methods such as NER (named entity recognition), sentence extraction, and part of speech tagging to carry out text analysis. The data source is comprised of texts obtained from the web using a domain-specific data extraction agent. A framework for the extraction of information from unstructured data was developed using the aforementioned natural language processing methods. We simulated the performance of our work in the extraction and analysis of texts for the detection of organizational structures. Simulation shows that our study outperformed other NER classifiers such as MUC and CoNLL on information extraction.

  • The current air-to-ground communication between aircraft pilots and ground controllers is done by voice communication and text-based data communication. International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) suggested the digital data communication techniques to improve accuracy and effectiveness of the current air-to-ground communication. As one of them, VDL M2, a VHF band digital data communication link, is expected to substitute the voice communication and text-based ACARS data communication. In this paper, the software design and implementation of the VDL M2 system developed by Korea Aerospace Research Institute.

  • This is a study on the roles in the association of sound as subtext for animation. On this study, it will be helpful to develop sound concepts and to create animations with creativity. For animation without sound can be produced as an artistic purpose, however, most animations are created with sound. It is not means that sound is less important than visual in animations. Sound is also one of significant element to create animations. Sound have many important rolls for subtext such as parts of action, leitmotif, characteristic, time, ethnic, localization in the animations. It will be analyzed two animations such as Shrek (DreamWorks Pictures production/ Director: Andrew Adams) and Monsters Inc. (Walt Disney Pictures/ Director: Peter Doctor).

Investigating the Efficient Method for Constructing Audio Surrogates of Digital Video Data (비디오의 오디오 정보 요약 기법에 관한 연구)

  • The study proposed the algorithm for automatically summarizing the audio information from a video and then conducted an experiment for the evaluation of the audio extraction that was constructed based on the proposed algorithm. The research results showed that first, the recall and precision rates of the proposed method for audio summarization were higher than those of the mechanical method by which audio extraction was constructed based on the sentence location. Second, the proposed method outperformed the mechanical method in summary making tasks, although in the gist recognition task(multiple choice), there is no statistically difference between the proposed and mechanical methods. In addition, the study conducted the participants' satisfaction survey regarding the use of audio extraction for video browsing and also discussed the practical implications of the proposed method in Internet and digital library environments.

  • The 1920s 'cinema-novel' is composed of various media effects based on cinematic imagination, and it is designed to constantly evoke the image of the film during the reading process. This article focuses on 'cinema-novel' as an example of an unprecedented genre experiment. It is because the process of formation and development of this unique genre is filled with contemporary characteristics of the 1920s art that strived to create a content suitable for the modern art medium.

  • One of the problems with current youth generations is increasing rate of violence and suicide in their school lives, and this study aims at the design of a sentiment analysis system to prevent suicide by uising big data process. The main issues of the design are economical implementation, easy and fast processing for the users, so, the open source Hadoop system with MapReduce algorithm is used on the HDFS(Hadoop Distributed File System) for the experimentation. This study uses word count method to do the sentiment analysis with informal data on some sns communications concerning a kinds of violent words, in terms of text mining to avoid some expensive and complex statistical analysis methods.

  • A book index is a locater system that ordinarily connects a set of terms from a text of a book to the page where they occur in the book's text. The DDC Relative Index differs somewhat in both of this matters. Its terms refers to classification notations and their corresponding category statements as found in the schedule text rather than to page numbers. The index is the final equipment of a classification scheme. The index is of primary importance to any classification scheme. Therefore The purpose of this study is to analysis DDC Relative Index.

  • 최근 들어 격자 기반의 분포형 유출 모형에 대한 활용이 증가하면서 격자형 강우자료의 활용을 위한 전처리 과정의 중요성 또한 증대되고 있다. 격자 기반의 수문모형에서 활용하기 위한 격자형 강우자료는 유역 격자와 동일한 위치 및 격자 크기를 가진다. 격자형 강우자료는 텍스트 파일 혹은 GIS 레이어로 저장되며, 강우 기간에 대한 시계열 정보를 나타내므로 일반적으로 수십내지 수천 개의 파일로 구성된다. 본 논문은 격자 기반의 다수의 분포형 강우 파일을 사용목적에 맞게 생성 및 가공하기 위한 GRM(Grid based Rainfall-runoff Model) Tools의 활용에 대해서 기술한다. GRM Tools는 격자 기반의 물리적 분포형 강우-유출 모형인 GRM에서 자료 처리를 위해 제공하는 도구이다. GRM Tools에 포함된 기능 중 강우자료의 처리를 위한 기능은 지점 강우자료를 이용한 분포형 강우자료 생성, 레이더 강우자료의 보정, 기상위성 자료를 이용한 강우 생성, 임의 격자 및 유역 평균 강우량 시계열 자료 추출, 텍스트 파일 변환 및 처리 등이다. GRM Tools 에서는 이와 같은 강우자료 처리 작업을 다수의 파일에 대해서 일괄적으로 수행함으로써 격자 기반의 분포형 강우자료 생성 작업을 효율적으로 수행할 수 있다.
