스마트폰, 태블릿 PC 등 정보 기술의 급속한 확대로 주파수 수요가 증가하여 세계 각국은 모바일 데이터 트래픽 수용을 위한 주파수 확보에 노력하고 있다. 미국은 원활한 주파수 확보를 통한 초고속 광대역 통신망의 확충이 통신 분야에서 미래 국제 경쟁력 확보에 필수적이라는 것을 인식하고, 새로운 대역에서 모바일 주파수를 확보하는 노력뿐 아니라 기존 대역에서 1차 사용자를 보호하며 공유할 수 있는 공유 주파수 자원의 확보도 추진하고 있다. 주파수 공유를 도입하면 필요한 주파수를 짧은 기간에 경제적인 가격으로 확보 가능하다는 장점이 있다. 본고는 미국에서 주파수 공유를 위해 도입하는 최근의 스펙트럼 정책 동향에 대해 기술하고자 한다.

본 고에서는 2012년 ICT 서비스 시장을 견인할 핵심 요소를 "인간 중심 (Human-oriented)"으로 보았으며, 인간중심 ICT 서비스 실현을 위해 '편리성(convenience)', '지능화(Intelligence)', '감성화(emotion)'라는 기술적 요소가 필요하다고 판단했다. 이를 바탕으로 2012년 ICT 서비스의 주요 트렌드는 (1)4G 이동통신 서비스의 본격화, (2)클라우드 및 N스크린 서비스의 확대, (3)새로운 스마트TV 시대, (4)유료방송의 스마트화와 OTT, (5)SNS이용 확대와 부작용 해소 기반 마련, (6)태블릿 PC의 이용 기반 확대 등으로 보았다. 그러나 ICT 기술 및 시장의 급변하는 속도로 볼 때에 현재 시점에서 예상할 수 없는 새로운 가능성은 언제나 열려있다 하겠다.

과거의 휴대폰, TV, 전화기 등의 기기들은 아날로그 신호 기반이 주류를 이루었고, 낮은 대역폭, 폐쇄된 네트워크 환경, 낮은 컴퓨팅 사양 등으로 그 적용 범위가 협소하였고, 어느 정도 보안성을 갖추었다고 볼 수 있다. 하지만, 최근 들어 고품질의 서비스를 제공하는 다양한 기기들이 등장하고 네트워크 대역폭 제공 범위가 확장되면서 정보통신 기기의 중요성과 위협요소가 커지고 있다. 특히, 2010년부터 본격적으로 시작된 스마트폰의 확산으로 태블릿 PC, 스마트 TV, 스마트워크, 스마트그리드 등 스마트 기기 시대가 개막되었음을 알 수 있다. 이에 정보통신기기의 보안은 더 이상 간과할 수 없는 중요한 요소로 자리매김 되었다. 본고에서는 네트워크에 참여하는 다양한 기기의 안전한 운영을 위하여 해당 기기를 식별하고 진위를 판단할 수 있는 신뢰된 인증방법에 대한 현황을 소개한다.

광대역 유무선 네트워크 기술과 컴퓨팅 기술의 발전으로 스마트 TV, 스마트 폰, 태블릿 PC와 같은 스마트단말의 등장으로 사용자가 여러 단말을 가지게 되었으며, 상황에 따라 가장 적합한 단말을 사용하거나 보유한 여러 단말을 함께 사용하여 새로운 멀티미디어 사용 경험을 하게 되었다. 또한 W3C은 웹 환경에서 다양한 웹 어플리케이션 개발의 기반이 되는 HTML5 표준과 개방형 웹 플랫폼을 제안하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 단말에서 지원하고 있는 웹 기반 플랫폼을 기반으로 웹 콘텐츠와 웹 서비스를 공유할 수 있는 공유 스크린 서비스 플랫폼의 기능을 도출하고 플랫폼을 설계한다.

본 논문에서는 히어로 영화의 최고가 마블이 되면서 PC 웹뿐만 아니라 모바일, 태블릿 등 환경에서도 구애받지 않고 관람할 수 있는 반응형 웹사이트 시제품을 구축하였다. 이 반응형 웹사이트는 HTML5와 CSS를 기반으로 어느 플랫폼에서나 이용가능하여 시간, 장소에 구애되지 않고 자신이 원하는 마블 영화 정보를 볼 수 있다는 장점을 가진다.

최근 우리나라는 고령화시대로 접어들면서 노인들의 사회적 적응 향상을 위한 노력이 커지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 노인들의 수단적 일상생활활동, 특히 금융활동을 원활하게 수행할 수 있도록 하기 위하여 노인에게 적합한 ATM 인터페이스를 새롭게 디자인하고자 한다. 이를 위해 은행에서 제공되는 실제 ATM 화면과 동일한 디자인 구성과 기능을 하는 태블릿 PC 기반 콘텐츠를 개발하고, 이를 통해 노인들을 대상으로 사용성 평가를 실시한다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 노인에게 적합한 ATM UI를 제시하고자 한다.

최근 소셜미디어, 산업 간 융합 등이 확대되고, 기존의 PC뿐만 아니라 스마트폰, 태블릿 PC 등 다양한 스마트 기기를 통한 인터넷 이용이 증가하면서 수많은 비정형 데이터를 발생됨에 따라 빅 데이터 시스템에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 시장조사 전문기관에서는 향후 5년에는 현재보다 데이터량이 9배가 증가할 것으로 전망하고 있으며, 빅 데이터 시장도 더 커질 것으로 예상하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 빅 데이터가 갖추어야할 효율성 품질평가 항목을 요구사항 분석을 통해서 도출하고 평가항목을 세분화하여 빅 데이터에 대한 효율성 시험 평가를 하였다.

Purpose The number of Tablet PC users has recently increased in steep, which started to offer media companies more opportunities to enter into a new business field. Based on Information System Success model, this study finds that tablet magazine's quality factors influence perceived usefulness, user satisfaction and intention of continuous use. Design/methodology/approach We conducted a survey for 20-40's Tablet PC users. After pilot study, we analyzed the main survey data by using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0, and employed structural equation modeling to test the hypotheses. Findings Our research results are summarized as follows : First, information quality has a positive impact on user satisfaction, but not on perceived usefulness. Second, service quality has a positive impact on perceived usefulness, but not on user satisfaction. Third, perceived usefulness positively influences user satisfaction. Fourth, user satisfaction positively influences the intention of continuous use. In particular we found that Tablet PC usage experience had a moderating effect on the relationship between perceived usefulness and user satisfaction.

This study evaluated the content of Korean vocabulary learning applications with a focus on tablet PC applications. We analyzed 51 Korean vocabulary learning applications. The instruments in this study were developed based on Yoo et al. (2012)' Vocabulary Learning Game Application Evaluation Criteria and Hyun et al. (2013)' Educational Application Evaluation Criteria. Data were analyzed using a t-test and one-way analysis of variance. The main results are as follows. First, each criteria's score was fairly good; the ease of use had the highest scores and the amusement had the lowest scores. Second, there was a significant difference in the interaction by vocabulary teaching approach. Applications based on a whole language-teaching method had higher scores than applications based on a phonics instructional teaching method inducing more operation and with immediate feedback. Third, there was significant difference in the sum of score and each criteria of developmental appropriateness, educational values, amusement, function and interaction by type of learning. Applications of combining type had higher scores in every criteria except for ease of use than applications of description type. These findings provide a preliminary evidence that the systematic Korean vocabulary learning application facilitates preschoolers' vocabulary learning.

Purpose: This study aims to develop Tablet PC-based multimedia educational contents on the procedures from surgery preparation to recovery for hospitalized patients who are going to undergo thoracic surgery and their families. Methods: The educational contents were created based on literature review and a survey of needs in patients and their families who were admitted to a hospital in Seoul from Dec. 2013 to May 2014. The contents were developed in conjunction with a film production company. The educational materials including texts, images, sounds, and videos were developed appling the ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation) model. Results: Two multimedia educational contents were developed for the patients with coronary artery bypass graft or lung surgery. Each content consisted of six subdivisions of self-learning for 20 minutes. The developed educational contents were completed after testing content validity by 30 medical experts. Conclusion: This study recommends that the Tablet PC-based educational contents for thoracic and cardiovascular patients and their families be used in general wards and intensive care units to relieve their anxiety before surgery and reduce postoperative complications.
