DeepPurple : Chess Engine using Deep Learning (딥퍼플 : 딥러닝을 이용한 체스 엔진)

  • In 1997, IBM's DeepBlue won the world chess championship, Garry Kasparov, and recently, Google's AlphaGo won all three games against Ke Jie, who was ranked 1st among all human Baduk players worldwide, interest in deep running has increased rapidly. DeepPurple, proposed in this paper, is a AI chess engine based on deep learning. DeepPurple Chess Engine consists largely of Monte Carlo Tree Search and policy network and value network, which are implemented by convolution neural networks. Through the policy network, the next move is predicted and the given situation is calculated through the value network. To select the most beneficial next move Monte Carlo Tree Search is used. The results show that the accuracy and the loss function cost of the policy network is 43% and 1.9. In the case of the value network, the accuracy is 50% and the loss function cost is 1, respectively.

  • This paper proposed a new hardware architecture for stereo matching in real time. We minimized the amount of calculation and the number of memory accesses through analyzing calculation of stereo matching. From this, we proposed a new stereo matching calculating cell and a new hardware architecture by expanding it in parallel, which concurrently calculates cost function for all pixels in a search range. After expanding it, we proposed a new hardware architecture to calculate cost function for 2-dimensional region. The implemented hardware can be operated with minimum 250Mhz clock frequence in FPGA environment, and has the performance of 813fps in case of the search range of 64 pixels and the image size of $640{\times}480$.

Modeling and Simulation of Ontology-based Path Finding in War-game Simulation (워게임 시뮬레이션에서 온톨로지 기반의 경로탐색 모델링 및 시뮬레이션)

  • War-game simulation models the situation of a battlefield and has been used for evaluating fighting power and analyzing the occupation of a troop. However, in war-game simulation environment, it is very complex to consider all factors which can be influenced in real battlefields. To solve the problem of the consideration, we propose an ontology-based path finding model. This model uses an ontology to conceptualize the situation data of a battlefield and represents the relations among the concepts. In addition, we extract new knowledge from the war-game ontology by defining some inference rules and share knowledge by the established rules. For the performance evaluation of the proposed model, we made a limitation on the simulation environment and measure the moving time of a troop, the fighting capability of a troop, and the necessary cost while a troop is moving. Experimental results show that this model provides many advantages in aspects of the moving time, a loss of fighting capability, and the necessary cost.

An Exploratory Study on the Factors of Difference in Trust Levels for Internet-Only Banks by Age Groups (인터넷전문은행의 신뢰 결정요인의 연령대별 차이에 관한 탐색 연구)

  • This paper aims to empirically analyze the factors of difference in trust level for Internet-only bank by age groups. The purpose of this study is to provide clues and a research data in developing differentiation strategies that can increase consumer's trust by age group. In this study, above all, the financial consumer group was divided into the 2030s and 4050s based on age. The study explored the trust determinants of the two groups and compared the differences between the two groups using a multi-group analysis method. As results, in all age groups, financial consumer's trust was seen as a determinant of convenience, security and benefit of financial transaction costs. The difference of the determinant of trust between 2030s and 4050s occurred in the factor of benefit. Moreover, it reconfirmed that consumer's trust is later strongly extended to relationship commitment. These findings suggest that trust is of paramount importance to the Internet-only bank, whose market competition will intensify in the future.

The Relational Characteristics, Satisfaction and Collaboration between Wholesalers & Oriental Clinic in Oriental Medicine Channel (한약재 도매상과 한의원간의 관계특성, 만족 및 협력)

  • Recently there is show deep concern at the wellness of health and beauty. therefore this study is to investigate an empirical study on the relational characteristics and collaboration between wholesalers and oriental clinic in herb medicine supplier channel, specially focused on lycium chinense. We collected statistically usable data from 119 questionnaire respondents who live in national provinces and analyzed them with SPSS 20.0 to achieve research's goals. Analysis results revealed that, first, relational characteristics of relationalism, trust, reward power and dependence had impacts on satisfaction between wholesaler and oriental clinic in herb medicine, Second, the survey found that satisfaction has impact on collaboration. Third, this study partially supported mediating effect regarding satisfaction between relational characteristics of relationalism and reward power.

An Efficient Updates Processing Using Labeling Scheme In Dynamic Ordered XML Trees (동적 순서 XML 트리에서 레이블링 기법을 이용한 효율적인 수정처리)

  • Labeling schemes which don't consider about frequent update in dynamic XML documents need relabeling process to reflect the changed label information whenever the tree of XML document is update. There is disadvantage of considerable expenses in the dynamic XML document which can occurs frequent update. To solve this problem, we suggest prime number labeling scheme that doesn't need relabeling process. However the prime number labeling scheme does not consider that it needs to update the sibling order of nodes in the XML tree of document. This update process needs much costs because the most of the XML tree of document has to be relabeling and recalculation. In this paper, we propose the prime number labeling scheme with sibling order value that can maintain the sibling order without relabeling or recalculation the XML tree of documents.

Adaptive depth control algorithm for sound tracing (사운드 트레이싱을 위한 적응형 깊이 조절 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, we use Sound-tracing, a 3D sound technology based on ray-tracing that uses geometric method as auditory technology to enhance realism. The Sound-tracing is costly in the sound propagation stage. In order to reduce the sound propagation cost, we propose a method to calculate the average effective frame number of previous frames using the frame coherence property and to adjust the depth according to the space based on the calculated number. Experimental results show that the path loss rate is 0.72% and the traversal & Intersection test calculation amount is decreased by 85.13% and the frame rate is increased by 4.48% when the sound source is indoors, compared with the result of the case without depth control. When the sound source was outdoors, the path loss was 0% and the traversal & Intersection test calculation amount is decreased by 25.01% and the frame rate increased by 7.85%. This allowed the rendering performance to be increased while minimizing the path loss rate.

  • Recently, with the recent rapid development of memory technology, various types of memory are developed and are used to improve processing speed in data management systems. In particular, NAND flash memory is used as a main media for storing data in memory-based storage devices because it has a nonvolatile characteristic that it can maintain data even at the power off state. However, since the recently studied memory-based storage device consists of various types of memory such as MRAM and PRAM as well as NAND flash memory, research on memory management technology is needed to improve data processing performance and efficiency of media in a storage system composed of different types of memories. In this paper, we propose a memory mapping scheme thought technique for efficiently managing data in the storage device composed of various memories for data management. The proposed idea is a method of managing different memories using a single mapping table. This method can unify the address scheme of data and reduce the search cost of data stored in different memories for data tiering.

  • In this study, reliability software cost model considering logarithmic fault detection rate based on observations from the process of software product testing was studied. Adding new fault probability using the Goel-Okumoto model that is widely used in the field of reliability problems presented.   • RAM analysis determines the range of resources to be invested by presenting the development goals of the weapon system. If the RAM analysis is not performed properly, it can cause a huge increase in business costs. While the cumulative cost ratio in the concept study is less than 1% of the total cost, 65-70% of the total lifecycle cost is determined and can't be reduced later. Therefore, RAM analysis is crucial in precedent study. When calculating the target RAM value by writing an existing OMS/MP, new functions and the future missions are hardly considered and reflected. Therefore, this paper proposes a method to establish OMS/MP by deriving arguments based on Delphi and Bayesian theory focusing on unmanned combat vehicle.
