This study was conducted on the visitors regarding their usage and evaluation state of the interpretive media which is utilized as a self-guide environment interpretation for the purpose of accumulating basic data for the park management. A questionnaire survey was chosen and the 275 valid samples among them were analyzed. The socioeconomic and behavioral characteristics of the visitors turned out to be similar with the results from another visitor survey in the same site. Among those who used the interpretive media, the largest proportion(77%) used the information board resources of the park; the usage rate of interpretive labels of woody plants, interpretive signs of cultural assets, and LED signs were shown to be relatively high. The usage of park brochures, park web sites, visitor center exhibits, and bulletin boards were less than 40% each. Visitors were asked to evaluate the importance and performance of the nine interpretive medias using a Likert Scale whose value ranges from one to five. The result recorded averaged above 4, which proved that the respondents were perceiving the importance of all forms of interpretive media greatly. The performance of interpretive media was also evaluated as affirmative, except the visitor center exhibits.

For maximum utility of trails, there is a need for better knowledge of characteristics of trail use and its users. The purpose of this study is to find out users' attitudes toward trail structures in Eorimok exploring route in Hallasan National Park managerial purposes. A questionnaire survey was conducted to 138 people on the way back home from their visit to the site from July to August, 2007. The geological conditions of 7 types of pedestrian trail structures were rated relatively high both in quantity and quality. The responses were noticeably positive about the natural materials used in wood deck and PP rope railings from the point of three aspects: harmony with nature, visitor convenience and resources conservation. It seems necessary to replace steel structures with native materials because such unnatural materials used in a natural setting are subject to visitor's resistance.

이번 탐방은 한려수도 내에 국내 최초의 육.해상 종합 휴양지인 경남 통영의 '금호 충무마리나 리조트'를 방문하였다. 이곳은 미륵도 관광특구 내에 자리 잡고 있어 요트나 유람선을 타고 인근의 거제도와 비진도, 욕지도, 연화도 등의 섬을 돌아볼 수 있으며, 주변 바닷가와 추도, 연대도, 투미도 등지에서는 바다낚시와 사냥도 즐길 수 있다. 특히, 주변에 세병관, 충렬사, 충무공유적지, 한산도, 거제도 등 관광지가 많아 한국의 나폴리로 불릴 정도로 빼어난 경관을 자랑하고 있다.

The purpose of this study is to survey and analyze of the visitor's cognition of Visitor-Reservation System in Soraksan National Park. To accomplish the purpose, a questionnaire survey was employed in Soraksan National Park. The contents of questionnaire consist of the socioeconomic characteristics and the types of visiting, the activity, the cognition of Visitor-Reservation System. 166 samples of total 170 respondents were used for final analysis. As a result of the analysis, the socioeconomic characteristics and the type of visiting were showed similar trends with results from other National Park visitor survey Most of respondents recognized the enforcement Visitor-Reservation System and A majority of respondents affirmatively recognized the introduction Visitor-Reservation System. Most of respondents wanted an easy method reservation and cancel in enforcement Visitor-Reservation System. Besides Most of respondents recognized negative conception on regulation(nature-rest system, facility-reservation system etc) of National Park Authority(N.P.A). About expanding enforcement Visitor-Reservation System of National Park's preservation, 'Agree Group' was almost equal with 'Disagree Group'. About more effect operate the Visitor-Reservation System Most of respondents were agree to introduce penalty.

A national park is a place to conserve natural resources and visitors to experience nature, and thus, it is necessary to identify the noise distribution characteristic in the national park and preserve and restore the soundscape. However, most national parks in Korea are exposed to noise, leading to negative perceptions of the national park's soundscape and affecting the ecosystem. Many national parks in other countries have investigated the ecosystem impacts caused by noise and have performed various management to reduce the noise. However, in Korea, there is still a lack of awareness of the effect on the ecosystem, overlooking the need for soundscape management. Therefore, in this study, we developed a noise map of Mudeungsan National Park to investigate the quantitative impact of noise on visitors and the ecosystem. Also, we measured the trail's soundscape to describe a sound grade classification, and the soundscape of main spots in the park was recorded for a year and then analyzed. Finally, the sound resource distribution map was described, which can be used as preliminary data to determine the national park's sound distribution characteristics and manage the soundscape.
