Characteristics of Elastic Wave Generated by Wear and Friction of SiCf/SiC Composites (SiCf/SiC 복합재의 마모 및 마찰에 의해 발생된 탄성파 특성)

  • The wear characteristics of $SiC_f$/SiC composites were evaluated according to the alignment direction of the fibers, and the elastic wave-generated friction was detected and analyzed in wearing. The friction coefficient and wear loss were similar in the longitudinal and the transverse direction of the fibers. However, these values were lower in the vertical direction of the fibers because of the brittle nature of the fiber. The friction coefficient and the wear loss were directly proportional to each other. The dominant frequencies were 58.6 kHz for monolithic SiC and 117.2 and 136.7 kHz for $SiC_f$/SiC composites, respectively.

  • 전 세계적으로 이산화탄소 배출량 저잠을 위해 모든 산업분야에서 연구개발의 중점을 두고 있다. 그의 일환으로 자동차 산업에서는 EU규제에 따라 리사이클이 가능한 소재 개발이 요구되고 있으며, 그중 많은 양이 사용되고 있는 PU Foam의 대체 재료 개발이 시급한 실정이다. 기존 자동차의 흡음재로 주로 사용되고 있는 PU Foam 소재는 통기성이 부족할 뿐만 아니라 연소 시 인체에 유해한 HCN Gas를 발생시키고, 한번 성형된 부품은 Recycle 및 Re-Use가 불가능하다는 단점이 있다. 또한 장시간 사용시 황변 발생과 악취가 발생하는 등으로 최근 대두되고 있는 자동차 내장재 감성품질 향상 측면에 한계를 나타내고 있다. 이러한 Low Melting 성능을 가지는 PET 부직포 소재의 한계를 극복하기 위하여 저융점 성능의 Elastic Fiber의 개발과 함께 고탄성 복합부직포 소재의 개발을 통해 높은 변형률과 우수한 복원력을 나타내는 환경친화형 열가소성 탄성체(Thermoplastic Elastomer) 개발을 추진하고 있다. 고탄성 복합부직포는 자동차 내장재 성형 시 열을 가하더라도 Elastomer 자체의 탄성 발현을 통해 초기의 Bulky성을 유지할 수 있으며, Recycle 및 Re-use가 가능하여 환경 친화적인 측면에서도 큰 장점을 갖고 있다. 자동차용 흡음 내장재뿐만 아니라 각종 수송용 차량의 경량화 및 쾌적성 향상을 위한 용도로써 자동차 내장용 PU Foam의 57% 이상을 차지하고 있는 Seat Cushion재 등의 대체가 가능하며, 다양한 산업분야에서 사용되고 있는 PU Foam의 대체로 다양한 용도 전개가 가능할 것으로 예상된다. 본 연구에서는 PU Foam의 대체 재료로 각광받고 있는 Elastic PET를 개발하여 자동차 내장재로의 적용 가능성을 검토하였다.

An Experimental Study on Elastic Properties of Rice Straw Ash Concrete (볏짚재 콘크리트의 탄성특성에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • This study is performed to evaluate the elastic properties of rice straw ash concrete using reices straw ash, cement, natural sand, gravel, and superplasticizer. The following conclusions are drawn ; The ultrasonic pulse velicity is in the range of 4,084 ~4,336m/s , which has showed about the same compared to that of the normla cement concrete. The highest ultrasonic pulse velocity is showed by 5 % rice straw ash filled rice straw ash concrete. The dynamic and static modulus of elasticity is in the range of 294 $\times$10$^3$ ~347 $\times$ 10$^3$ and 266 $\times$10$^3$~328 $\times$10$^3$kgf/㎤ , respectively. It is showed about the same compared to that of the normal cement concrete. The Poisson's number of rice straw ash concrete is less than that of the normal cement concrete.

  • 본 논문에서는 탄성바닥 위에서의 세개의 질량과 두개의 방지재로 구성된 지지계에 의한 진동절연의 이론적 고찰과 실험에 의한 검증을 하였다. 효과 적인 진동절연은 본 논문에서 기본적으로 관심을 가지는 탄성바닥에서의 진 동전달률을 감소시키는 것이며, 단순한 수학적 형태로 표현되는 진동전달률 공식은 영향계수법(Receptance Method)을 이용하여 유도된다.

Temperature-Dependency of Tensile Properties of GFRP Composite for Wind Turbine Blades (풍력 발전 블레이드 복합재 GFRP의 인장 특성의 온도 의존성)

  • In this study, the temperature-dependency of the tensile properties of a glass fiber reinforced plastic (GFRP) used in wind turbine blades was examined. The tensile strength, elastic modulus, and Poisson's ratio of the tensile specimen manufactured from uniaxial ($0^{\circ}$) and triaxial ($0/{\pm}45^{\circ}$) laminate composite plates were measured at four different testing temperatures-room temperature, $-30^{\circ}C$, $-50^{\circ}C$, and $60^{\circ}C$. It was found that the tensile strengths and elastic moduli of the uniaxial laminates were greater than those of the triaxial laminates over the testing temperature range. The tensile strength of the two laminates was significantly dependent on the testing temperature, while the dependency of the elastic modulus on the temperature was insignificant. Furthermore, it could be considered that the Poisson's ratio changed slightly with a change in the testing temperature.

  • Recently, studies on semi-rigid beam-to-column connections have been done to develop a T-stub element with separators between column face and T-stub flange. In this paper, inelastic analyses for the improved T-stub element are performed, and their results are compared with existing experimental results. The inelastic analyses using gap elements between column face and the separator, and initial stresses at the high-tension bolts result in good agreement with experimental results. Simplified design methods estimating the initial stiffness and the strength of the semi-rigid connection for compression force are proposed.

  • In Korea, around one - third of the country is occupied by granite, and granite weathered soils are widely distributed. Most of the research on this soil has been performed using reconstituted specimens because of the extreme difficulty of undisturbed sampling due to the sensitive particle structures. Therefore, the comparisons of deformational characteristics, which is expressed in terms of shear and Young's moduli and damping ratio, obtained from the undisturbed and reconstituted specimens are important for the reliable understanding of soil behavior. In this study, the resonant column and torsional shear tests were performed on granite weathered soils in Korea, and the deformation characteristics of undisturbed and reconstituted soil on granite weathered soils were evaluated and compared.

A Study on Elastic Buckling Strength of Truss-Stayed Single Column System (트러스로 보강된 단일기둥시스템의 탄성좌굴강도에 대한 연구)

  • The buckling strength of a pin-ended column may be increased significantly by reinforcing it with an assemblage of cross-arm members rigidly connected to the modpoint of the column and stayed members connecting the ends of the columns and cross-arm members. The purpose of the stays and cross-arm members is to introduce restraint against translation and rotation and thereby decrease the effective buckling length of the column. In this study, buckling strengths of the reinforced columns were quantitatively evaluated from analytical solutions and elastic/inelastic finite elements analysis and the results were compared each other. It was found that the reinforcing system may increase the buckling strength up to 8 times compared to ones without reinforcing system.
