타이어 소음발생기구에 대한 고찰

  • 본 고에서 제시한 타이어 소음발생기구에 대한 수학적 모델은 실제활용을 목적으로 정립된 것이다. 이 모델은 프로그램화 되어 타이어 패턴 소음 예측을 위한 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션에 활용되었다. 시뮬레이션에서는 전체 소음도 뿐만아니라 스펙 트럼 특성까지도 예측할 수 있으며, 몇가지 실추결과와 비교하여 만족스러운 수준 의 일치를 확인하였다. 이 기술의 장점은 저소음 타이어 개발에 따르는 시간과 돈을 크게 절약할 수 있다는 것이다. 즉 타이어 설계자가 구상하고 있는 패턴을 컴퓨터에 입력함으로서 타이어의 기본기능을 손상하지 않는 범위에서 최선의 소음특성을 갖는 패턴을 결정할 수 있다. 선진 타이어 업체들은 이미 이같은 방법을 사용하고 있는 것으로 알려져 있으며, 이제 우리도 그 수준에 도달했다고 자부할 수 있다. 그러나 모든 과학기술 이론이 그러하듯이 이 글에서 제시한 모델 역시 결코 완벽하다고 볼 수는 없다. 이 글의 내용이 국내 관심있는 학자들에게 시작할 수 있는 계기가 될 것을 기대하며, 국산 자동차의 저소음화 노력이 더욱 활성화 되기를 희망한다.

A Study on Tire Labeling Performance for Tire Pattern Design (타이어 패턴 설계인자에 따른 타이어 라벨링 성능변화 연구)

  • It is well known that tire pattern design factors have a large influence on overall tire performance. In this paper, the basic study on the effects of tire pattern design factors on tire labeling performance has been carried out through experimental tests. The pass-by noise is affected by tire pattern design, by a maximum of 2.7dB(A), and the number of sipes gives large effects on PBN. The rolling resistance is also influenced, mostly by the number of longitudinal grooves and secondly the number of sipes. Finally, there is a weak correlation between PBN and RR when the pattern design factors are changed.

  • Nowadays concrete pavement is increasing, since it is more durable than asphalt pavement. And the concrete pavement with lateral rain groove may induce high level of concrete whine noise as pure tone. In this paper, the design factor for good concrete whine noise is considered in view of tire pattern and structure design. In respect of tire pattern design, the tire having a cap tread with high center part stiffness and low shoulder part stiffness shows best concrete whine noise performance. And in respect of tire structural design, the tire with a thick center part of cap tread and low tread part stiffness show best concrete whine noise performance.

Evaluation of Static Behaviour of Orthotropic Steel Deck Considering the Loading Patterns (하중재하 패턴을 고려한 강바닥판의 정적거동 평가)

  • The deck of steel box girder bridges is composed of deck plate, longitudinal rib, and transverse ribs. The orthotropic steel decks have high possibility to fatigue damage due to numbers of welded connection part, the heavy contact loadings, and the increase of repeated loadings. Generally, the local stress by the repeated loadings of heavy vehicles causes the orthotropic steel deck bridge to fatigue cracks. The increase of traffic volume and heavy vehicle loadings are promoted the possibility of fatigue cracks. Thus, it is important to exactly evaluate the structural behavior of bridge considering the contact loading area of heavy vehicles and real load patterns of heavy trucks which have effects on the bridge. This study estimated the effect of contact area of design loads and real traffic vehicles through the finite element analysis considering the real loading conditions. The finite element analysis carried out 4 cases of loading patterns in the orthotropic steel deck bridge. Also, analysis estimated the influence of contact area of real truck loadings by the existence of diaphragm plate. The result of finite element analysis indicated that single tire loadings of real trucks occurred higher local stress than one of design loadings, and especially the deck plate got the most influence by the single tire loading. It was found that the diaphragm attachment at joint part of longitudinal ribs and transverse ribs had no effects on the improvement of structural performance against fatigue resistance in elastic analysis.

A design of fuzzy pattern matching classifier using genetic algorithms and its applications (유전 알고리즘을 이용한 퍼지 패턴 매칭 분류기의 설계와 응용)

  • A new design scheme for the fuzzy pattern matching classifier (FPMC) is proposed. in conventional design of FPMC, there are no exact information about the membership function of which shape and number critically affect the performance of classifier. So far, a trial and error or heuristic method is used to find membership functions for the input patterns. But each of them have limits in its application to the various types of pattern recognition problem. In this paper, a new method to find the appropriate shape and number of membership functions for the input patterns which minimize classification error is proposed using genetic algorithms(GAs). Genetic algorithms belong to a class of stochastic algorithms based on biological models of evolution. They have been applied to many function optimization problems and shown to find optimal or near optimal solutions. In this paper, GAs are used to find the appropriate shape and number of membership functions based on fitness function which is inversely proportional to classification error. The strings in GAs determine the membership functions and recognition results using these membership functions affect reproduction of next generation in GAs. The proposed design scheme is applied to the several patterns such as tire tread patterns and handwritten alphabetic characters. Experimental results show the usefulness of the proposed scheme.

On smooth asphalt road, Pattern noise is amplified with the velocity. In recent, the study on the reduction of Pattern noise is energetically processed. Pattern noise is strongly related with pitch sequence. To reduce the pattern noise, tire's designer has to randomize the sequence of pitch. The FFT is a traditional method to evaluate the level of the randomization of the pitch sequence, but gives no information on time-varying, instantaneous frequency. In the study, we found that Time-Frequency transform is a useful method to non-stationary signal such as tire noise.
