Design and Implementation of Web-based Virtual Makeup Simulation System (웹 상에서의 가상 메이크업 시뮬레이션 시스템 설계 및 구현)

  • The VMSS(Virtual Makeup Simulation System) is a virtual simulation system which can apply makeup, hair style, accessory to user's own face image through internee connection. The simulation result can be stored to server side DB and also can be printed out on client side printer. It is implemented using Java so, clients don't need any other client program to run the VMSS except Web browser and Java Plug-in installed on browser. IIS (Internet Information Server) Web server of Window 2000 and MS-SQL 7 are used to develop the overall system. Commercial JDBC Driver Type 4 is used to connect the applet and DB. It suggests a new direction of Web-based contents service development and can be applied to many other areas.

  • There have been active researches utilizing Biometric informations such as fingerprints, face, iris and so on. but they have tended to use their own data formal and interfaces in processing Biometric informations, which causes the difficulties including sharing of Biometric informations and interoperability. To overcome such problems, we have studied XML applications such as XCBF and SOAP to process Biometric informations in the client-server environment. A method suitable to process and transfer Biometric informations in XML notation is proposed as a result.

  • It can be said that P2P means the pattern that every linker could be both a supplier and a customer by means of the direct connection and survey with personal computers out of the concept of server and client. P2P business has been a great impact all over the world. for it came to be possible as the express internet log-on service is getting widely used and the user environment is getting better with the supply of high-tech computer. Recently the various system of P2P has been developed not as the only service of file share between the personal users but as the application of the electronic trade between the companies. This study is to suggest the most effective system that has the function of complement of P2P.

  • In these days, because of internet activation, each organs of education or istructors develop and manage the web based education system, but component development that used in web based education system development is not ready. When we develop the web education system using component, we can gain the various desired result of reusability, interaction in various computers, expansion, reduction of development time, saving of development expense, etc. Therefore, in this paper we classified the web based education components by the function of web based education system, did modeling for development process of components, and chose the component platform that can reuse components in distributed computing environment that the client/server environment is supported. The induction of these web based education components will be give many assistance to development of the web based education system.

  • 기존에는 이질적인 GIS 데이타 소스간의 통합을 위해 랩퍼(wrapper)기술을 사용했다. 랩퍼(wrapper)는 외부 클라이언트 응용프로그램에게 이질적인 데이타 소스들의 통합 데이타 모델을 제공함으로써 데이타와 지리정보처리의 공유를 가능하게 한다. 그러나 데이타 소스들의 통합은 표준 서비스를 포함한 상호운용성을 지원하는 것은 아니다. 표준을 따르는 상호운용을 위해서는 표준화된 데이타 모델과 서비스가 필요한데 OGC (OpenGIS Consortium)의 OpenGIS(Open Geodata Interoperability Specification)가 이를 제공하고 있다. 분산환경에서 상호운용을 위한 기존방법은 각 데이타 소스별로 데이타 제공자를 개발하여 상호운용을 지원하였다. 따라서 중복 구현에 대한 문제와 구현에 따른 노력과 비용이 상당 부분 존재하였다. 본 논문에서는 데이타 제공자에서 공통부분을 추출 및 컴포넌트 화하고 데이타 소스에 종속되는 모듈은 CORBA 구현객체로 작성하여 제시하였다. 따라서 각 데이타 소스들은 표준 데이타 제공자를 통해서 기존의 데이타 지원 기능유지와 상호운용성을 달성할 수 있다. 클라이언트는 OpenGIS Feature모델을 기반으로 한 표준 인터페이스로 데이타 소스에 접근한다. 데이타 소스는 표준데이타 제공자와 정의된 인터페이스를 바탕으로 CORBA의 구현 객체 서버를 작성함으로서 중복구현 및 구현부담을 줄일 수 있다.

  • This paper developed a secure web-based digital notary system. The system conforms to international standards, and gives users very good accessibility to it. The technologies and the application systems for timestamp-related services are not yet popularized, but they are potentially meaningful to many kinds of areas such as ecommerces, digital right managements, and internet mail systems. The digital notary system uses the timestamp requests and responses which conforms to rfc 3161. The system supports secure communication between web-based notary server and its clients by using SSL(Secure Socket Layer), and use nonces for prevention of replay attacks.

  • 홈 엔터테인먼트 서비스는 홈 네트워크 서비스의 하나로서 홈 네트워크를 통해 제공되는 TV, 영화, 게임과 같은 다양한 디지털 콘텐츠를 TV라는 매체를 통해 PC와 같은 TV와는 다른 디바이스에 존재하는 다양한 콘텐츠를 손쉽게 즐길 수 있는 콘텐츠 서비스의 형태라고 할 수 있다. 이러한 다양한 기기에 존재하는 콘텐츠를 손쉽게 이용할 수 있는 허브 장치로서 STB(Set-top Box)가 대두되고 있다. STB가 허브 장치로서의 기능을 하기 위해서는 서로 다른 기기들과의 연계시 발생하는 여러 문제점들(예 : 조작의 불편)을 해결하고 이를 통합 조정할 수 있는 어플리케이션이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 STB와 멀티미디어 기기 중의 하나인 HTPC(Home Theater PC)를 예를 들어 두 기기간의 연동 환경에서 STB 리모컨을 통해 HTPC를 제어할 수 있는 어플리케이션에 대해 연구한다. 이를 위해 이종 단말기 간의 연동을 위해 RMI(Remote Method Invocation)의 클라이언트/서버 통신 메커니즘을 응용하였다. 이를 통해 HTPC 뿐만이 아닌 다양한 디바이스를 STB에 연결하여 활용할 수 있는 좋은 예가 될 수 있을 것이다.

A Digital Carousel System based on CoAP for N-Screen Environment (N-스크린 환경을 위한 CoAP 기반 디지털 캐로절 시스템)

  • In this paper, we discuss a model for increasing reliability of data through N screen server and client model environment. Our Digital Carousel enables user to share media objects through media synchronization mechanism. We suggest the Digital Carousel system based on CoAP(Constrained Application Protocol) for N-Screen so that the users participated in collaborative work may refer shared media objects as the same view to others. With this sharing system, a group cooperating users can share applications data. This paper explained a performance analysis of a system with function comparison running on multimedia collaboration work based on CoAP and N screen techniques.

An Efficient Real-Time Image Reconstruction Scheme using Network m Multiple View and Multiple Cluster Environments (다시점 및 다중클러스터 환경에서 네트워크를 이용한 효율적인 실시간 영상 합성 기법)

  • We propose an algorithm and system which generates 3D stereo image by composition of 2D image from 4 multiple clusters which 1 cluster was composed of 4 multiple cameras based on network. Proposed Schemes have a network-based client-server architecture for load balancing of system caused to process a large amounts of data with real-time as well as multiple cluster environments. In addition, we make use of JPEG compression and RAM disk method for better performance. Our scheme first converts input images from 4 channel, 16 cameras to binary image. And then we generate 3D stereo images after applying edge detection algorithm such as Sobel algorithm and Prewiit algorithm used to get disparities from images of 16 multiple cameras. With respect of performance results, the proposed scheme takes about 0.05 sec. to transfer image from client to server as well as 0.84 to generate 3D stereo images after composing 2D images from 16 multiple cameras. We finally confirm that our scheme is efficient to generate 3D stereo images in multiple view and multiple clusters environments with real-time.

  • In this paper, 3D input and output systems for a web-based real-time 3D video communication system using IEEE 1394 digital cameras, Intel Xeon Server system and Microsoft Directshow library is proposed. And some conditions for optimizing the operations of the stereo camera, 3D display and signal processing system are analyzed. Input & output systems are carefully selected, which can satisfy the required optimization conditions and the final 3D video communication system is implemented by using three optimized devices. The overall control system is developed with Microsoft Visual C++.Net and Microsoft DirectX 9.1 SDK. Some experimental results show that the observer can feel the natural presence from multi-view(4-view) 3D video of server system in real-time and also can feel the natural presence from 3D video of client system and finally suggest an application possibility of the proposed web-based real-time 3D video communication in real fields.
