  • Recently, many control systems are replaced with digital control systems in an effort to optimize the overall performance. In order to operate these systems efficiently, the conventional point-to-point connection method must be changed to the signal exchange via a communication network. This paper investigates the technical feasibility of the crane system using CAN protocol which is a part NMEA 2000 by implementing a network-based control system emulating the crane control system.

Models for Determining the Size of Import Container Block in Automated Container Terminals (자동화 컨테이너 터미널에서 수입 컨테이너 장치 블록 크기 결정을 위한 모형)

  • The productivity of automated container terminals is significantly affected by not only the speed related performances of automated transfer cranes(ATCs) but also the sizes of container blocks. In this paper, it is discussed how to determine the size of import container blocks considering both the container handling times of an ATC and their storage space. Firstly, evaluation models are suggested for the container handling times of an ATC in a typical import container blocks. Secondly, three mathematical formulations are suggested to determine the size of import container blocks. Numerical experiments for the suggested models to determine the size of import container block are provided.

  • At present, construction automation is a critical solution for the shortage of labor and the aging of skilled workers. Especially, researches for transportation automation are achieved to improve the efficiency as the construction of tall-building construction. Transportation automation needs to control the swung member by the inertia and/or the wind-force at the end of cable. However, previous to control, the presupposition of the swing is heavily difficult work because the inertia and the wind force are irregularly changable according to work condition. Therefore, in this study, dynamic modeling of crane and simulation was performed to find the characteristic of the swing. In the result, the maximum displacement of the swung material was analyzed. And, on the basis of analysis, the criteria to decide workability of automated transportation considering the material size and the wind force onsite was proposed.

Container Selecting Methods for Remarshaling Considering Restricted Idle Time of Crane in an Automated Container Terminal (제한된 유휴시간을 고려한 자동화 컨테이너 터미널의 재정돈 컨테이너 선택 방안)

  • In Automated Container Terminal, the remarshaling is the task of rearranging containers for the effective exporting operations. Since available time for the remarshaling is usually restricted, all containers cannot be remarshaled. Therefore, this paper proposes a method that selects some containers from all export containers and then establishes the remarshaling plan with only the selected containers. The experimental results using simulation system shows that our proposal planning method that plans after selecting remarshaling containers is better than plans with all loading containers and remarshals during the available time.

  • A remarshalling is studied as an important operational strategy in an automated container terminal to enhance the productivity of container handling. This means the rearrangements of the containers scattered at a vertical yard block. The dispatching problem for remarshalling is selecting the remarshalling operation considering the available operation time and deciding the operation sequencing to maximize the effectiveness of remarshalling. This study develops the optimal mathematical model for yard crane dispatching problem with mixed integer program and explains dispatching problem using an example. However it is difficult to apply this model to a field problem because of its computational time. Therefore, we compare the representative 5 dispatching rules for real world adaption. In a numerical experiment, maximum weight ratio(MR) rule shows an overall outstanding performance.

  • 컨테이너의 효율적인 이송은 작업 시간이 곧 비용으로 연결되는 항만에서 가장 중요한 요소이다. 따라서 1990년대 중반부터 세계항만은 RMGC(Rail-Mounted Gantry Crane), RTGC(Rubber-Tired Gantry Crane)등의 크레인이 개발되어 야드에서 컨테이너를 적재하는데 널리 이용되어 오고 있으며, 특히 최근에는 CCD카메라, 각종 센서 둥을 이용하여 트랜스퍼 크레인의 무인화를 위해 수많은 연구가 진행되었고 실용화 된 많은 기술들이 현장에서 사용되고 있으나, 여전히 많은 부분이 연구를 필요로 한다. 특히 RTGC의 경우 RMGC에 비해 무인 자동화 연구개발은 미비한 수준이다. 따라서 본 논문에서 RTGC의 무인자동화 작업을 위한 가장 기초라고 볼 수 있는 수학적 모델링을 기반으로한 고정밀도 주행제어기를 설계하고자 한다.

  • 부산항 신항 서컨테이너터미널은 선박 대형화와 완전 무인 자동화부두 구축이라는 설계컨셉에 따라 접안 가능한 최대선박은 3만 TEU 선박으로 결정하고 그에 따라 제반 시설들의 규격을 증대하였으며, 상부 자동화 설비들의 운영에 지장이 발생하지 않도록 대형 유수실, 월파차단벽 등의 침수 방지시설과 크레인 및 AGV구간 부등침하 방지를 위해 41.5m의 광폭케이슨과 176m의 광폭 DCM기초를 적용하고, 최신 설계기준에 의거한 내진 I 등급 구조물로 계획하는 등 안전하고 이용성이 뛰어난 컨테이너 터미널이 구축되도록 하였다.

  • Gangform, compared to the traditional forms, is a systemized form which can reduce construction duration and cost by the advantage of using it repeatedly. However, transportation and climbing process of the Gangform is highly dependant on the performance of tower crane. Gangform climbing process takes one day out of six to seven days of a structural work cycle. Tower cranes can not be used in other lifting works when they lift the Gangform during the structural work cycle, causing the delay in the construction project. Numerous efforts and researches have been done in domestic and international industry to solve such limitations of Gangform climbing process. Especially, "A Study on the Development of Automatic Gangform Climbing System for Apartment Housing Construction"has suggested a conceptual model which can climb the Gangform system without a tower crane. In this paper, the technical and economical feasibilities of previously proposed Automatic Gangform climbing system are examined by evaluating its structural stability and lifting load reduction effect.

  • Gangform compared with conventional wood and steel form is systemized form which has a capability to install and dismantle form at a time without repeating to assembly and disassembly small members. Gangform compared with ACS has some problems such as 1) Tower Crane load increase, 2) increase in safety incidence during climbing Gangform, 3) decrease in detachment operation productivity, 4) stop work due to climate impacts, and 5) decrease in labor cost, productivity, quality. A conceptual design model of automated Gangform climbing system is suggested for apartment housing construction to show its technical/economic feasibility and workers' safety while increasing operation productivity and concrete quality.
