선박용 디젤 엔진 크랭크 스로 부품용 S34MnV강의 피로한도에 대한 신뢰도 예측 (Prediction of Reliability of Fatigue Limit of S34MnV Steel for Marine Diesel Engine Crank Throw Components)

  • 본 논문은 스테어케이스법을 사용하여 크랭크 스로 부품용 S34MnV강의 피로한도의 신뢰도를 평가하는 것이다. 크랭크 스로 부품의 소재는 S34MnV이며, 뜨임 및 풀림 열처리된 단조강이다. 본 연구에서는 설계피로강도의 신뢰도를 예측하기 위해 축 하중 일정진폭 피로시험을 수행하였다. 시험편은 평균응력 0 MPa의 동일한 응력부하를 적용하였고, 즉 응력비는 -1로 하였다. 피로시험 결과는 Dixon-Mood 접근법으로 평가하였다. 스테어케이스법에 의해 예측된 피로강도의 평균과 표준편차는 각각 296.3 MPa 및 10.6 MPa로 나타났다. 마지막으로 어떤 임의의 파손 확률에 대한 피로강도의 신뢰도를 예측하였다. 본 연구에서 제안한 예측법은 단조강의 설계 최적화를 위한 피로강도 값을 결정할 수 있다.

  • For a vertical type crankshaft-journal bearing system used in scroll compressor, nonlinear transient response analysis is applied includung nonlinear fluid film reaction forces of journal beatings. By a connected behavior analysis of crankshaft and orbiting scroll, the radial clearance of scroll wraps is calculated. Considering tangential leakage for this clearance, a coupled analysis model for leakage and dynamic behavior of the orbiting scroll is made, and analyzed by iterative calculation. By regarding clearances of main, sub bearing of crankshaft and orbiting scroll shaft bearing clearance as design parameters, the radial clearance of scroll wraps is analyzed.

  • The dynamic behavior of crankshaft-bearing system in scroll compressor has been investigated using the combined methodologies of finite elements and transfer matrices. The finite element formulation is proposed including the field element for a shaft section and the point element at balancer weight locations, bearing locations, etc., whereas the conventional method is used with the elements. The Houbolt method is used to consider the time march for the integration of the system equations. The linear stiffness and damping coefficients are calculated for a finite cylindrical fluid-film bearing by solving the Reynolds equation, using finite difference method. The orbital response of crankshaft supported on the linear bearing model is obtained, considering balancer weights of motor rotor. And, the steady state displacement of crankshaft are compared with a variation in balancer weight. The loci of crankshaft at bearing locations are composed of the synchronous whirl component and the non-synchronous whirl component.

  • The theoretical investigation is done on the dynamic behavior of a crank shaft used in a scroll compressor. The compression performance of a scroll compressor is directly influenced by the sealing characteristics between fixed and orbiting scrolls, which is related with the dynamic behavior of a scroll compressor. Analyzing the constrained power transmitting system is came to be of importance, accordingly. The equations of motion and interacting forces of a scroll compressor are derived and solved numerically in this paper. The locus of the crank shaft is also obtained by employing the reaction force caused by the oil film of journal bearing. The results show that the crank shaft of a scroll compressor has considerably stable rotating locus.

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate a closed-die forging method for large crank throw using analytical and numerical approaches. A closed-die forging equipment with wedge and links was proposed to forge large crank throw using kinematic analysis. The minimum press capacity for the closed-die forging was established using the comprehensive FEA.

크랭크스로 단조강의 피로수명의 확률분포 추정 (Estimation of Probability Distribution of Fatigue Lives in Crank Throw Forged Steel)

  • Because of the severe service environment of the large marine vessel, the fatigue strength and its evaluation play an important role in design and maintenance of marine crankshaft. The aim of this work is to investigate the probability distribution of fatigue lives in crank throw forged steel and to develop the methodology for estimation of the probabilistic design fatigue strength. Detailed studies were performed on the constant amplitude axial loading fatigue test. The experiments were controlled by stress ratio of -1 and 15Hz frequency for each stress level. The considerable variability of fatigue life was observed in each stress level under rigidly controlled constant fatigue testing conditions. The fatigue life of crank throw forged steel was well followed the log-normal and Weibull distribution. In addition, it can be used for the estimation of probabilistic design fatigue strength by using the proposed methodology.

  • Scroll compressor using a slide bushing type radial compliant crank mechanism is modelled, and it's dynamic behaviour characteristics are analyzed. Sealing forces generated in the flank surfaces of the orbiting scroll depending on the distance, e, from slide bushing center to crank pin center are calculated. From the stable condition of orbiting scroll for the moment equilibrium in tangential direction, the range of e is determined as 0$r_o$. Transient response of a crankshaft supported by two journal bearings is investigated, considering applied load, moment, and unbalance force by eccentric mass. As a result, conical whirl mode with circular orbits are obtained. The characteristics of journal orbits and frictional losses are calculated with a variation of viscosity and bearing clearance.

  • In this study, we investigated the tribology behaviour of two different bearing materials. One of these alloys content is Cu(90)-Sn(10) alloy and is widely used in the automotive industry.The other is Al alloy. This bearing content is Al-Sn-Si-Cu. Therefore, it is required to study on the lublicating characteristics of bearing according to different materials. In this study, compressor bearings made by respectively "PTFE solid lubricant" and "AI alloy with superior load carrying capacity, rubbing and impact endurance", have gone through journal bearing test. Lubrication and abrasion characteristics are evaluated by analyzing the material characteristics of a scroll compressor bearing bush. The AI alloy bearing showed the most excellent lubrication and abrasion characteristics than Cu-Sn alloy under high load condition.

  • 이 논문은 LPG 자동차 엔진의 타이밍벨트, 캠샤프트포지션센서 및 점화코일에 대한 고장사례에 관련된 연구이다. 첫 번째 사례는, 엔진의 프론트 케이스 브래킷장착을 할 때 12mm 볼트를 조이면서 과대한 토크로 인해, 볼트가 체결부에서 분리되어 크랭크축의 스프로킷에 끼여 타이밍벨트와 스프로킷의 이사이에 벨트 간섭에 의해 벨트가 끊어진 것을 확인하였다. 두 번째 사례는, 실린더 헤드부에 설치되어 있는 캠샤프트 포지션 센서와 캠축 감지부의 간극이 너무 작아 센서의 펄스신호불량에 의한 컴퓨터의 인식불량으로 인해 엔진의 부조화현상이 발생된 것을 확인하였다. 세 번째 사례는, 2번 점화코일의 내부불량으로 인해 점화를 할 때 점화코일에서 불꽃이 누설되어 엔진의 부조화 현상이 발생된 것을 확인하였다. 따라서, 차량관리자는 이러한 현상이 발생되지 않도록 철저한 차량점검을 해야한다.
