Parallel Paths in Folded Hyper-Star Graph (Folded 하이퍼-스타 그래프의 병렬 경로)

  • Parallel paths in an interconnection network have some significance in that message transmission time can be reduced because message is divided into packets and transmitted in parallel through several paths, and also an whose nodes has 2n binary bit string, is an interconnection network which has a lower network cost than hypercube and its variation. In this paper, we analyze node disjoint parallel path in Folded Hyper-Star graph FHS(2n,n) proposed as the topology of parallel computers and, using the result, prove that the fault diameter of a Folded Hyper-Star graph FHS(2n,n) is 2n-1.

Comparisons of Experimental Designs and Modeling Approaches for Constructing War-game Meta-models (워게임 메타모델 수립을 위한 실험계획 및 모델링 방법에 관한 비교 연구)

  • Computer simulation models are in general quite complex and time-consuming to run, and therefore, a simpler meta-model is usually constructed for further analysis. In this paper, JANUS, a war-game simulator, is used to describe a certain tank combat situation. Then, second-order response surface and artificial neural network meta-models are developed using the data from eight different experimental designs. Relative performances of the developed meta-models are compared in terms of the mean squared error of prediction. Computational results indicate that, for the given problem, the second-order response surface meta-model generally performs better than the neural network, and the orthogonal array-based Latin hypercube design(LHD) or LHD using maximin distance criterion may be recommended.

  • In this paper, we propose a 3D object LOD(Level of Detail) modeling system that constructs a mesh from range images and generates the mesh of various LOD using the wavelet transform. In the initial mesh generation, we use the marching cube algorithm. We modify the original algorithm to apply it to construct the mesh from multiple range images efficiently. To get the base mesh we use the decimation algorithm which simplifies a mesh with preserving the topology Finally, when reconstructing new mesh which is similar to initial mesh we calculate the wavelet coefficients by using the wavelet transform. We solve the critical problem of wavelet-based methods - the surface crease problem (1) - by using the mesh simplification as the base mesh generation method.

Management Software Development of Hyper Spectral Image Data for Deep Learning Training (딥러닝 학습을 위한 초분광 영상 데이터 관리 소프트웨어 개발)

  • The hyper-spectral image is data obtained by dividing the electromagnetic wave band in the infrared region into hundreds of wavelengths. It is used to find or classify objects in various fields. Recently, deep learning classification method has been attracting attention. In order to use hyper-spectral image data as deep learning training data, a processing technique is required compared to conventional visible light image data. To solve this problem, we developed a software that selects specific wavelength images from the hyper-spectral data cube and performs the ground truth task. We also developed software to manage data including environmental information. This paper describes the configuration and function of the software.

  • 경제수준의 향상과 삶의 질의 향상으로 인하여 일반인들의 건강 및 운동에 대한 관심이 증대되었다. 이런 사회적 기대에 부응하여 바쁜 현대인들을 위한 게임 기반 및 스마트폰 기반의 헬스케어 시스템이 등장하고 있다. 최근에는 가상현실을 통한 현실세계와 유산한 운동효과를 추구하는 형태로 발전하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 가상세계의 현실과 같은 몰입감에 주목하고, 아이큐브(I-cube)를 활용하여 가상현실을 구축한 다음 가상의 트레이너를 통해서 원하는 운동효과를 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 운동 및 자극 부위, 지도 효율성의 정보 등을 제공하여, 운동효과와 정보를 한눈에 봄과 동시에 운동에 대한 올바른 자세를 가상현실을 이용해 직접적으로 배울 수 있도록 하였다.

Fairing Design Optimization of Missile Hanger for Drag Reduction (유도탄 행거 항력 저감을 위한 페어링 형상 최적화)

  • Hanger in a rail-launched missile protrudes in general and causes to increase significant drag force. One method to avoid the significant increase of drag force is to apply fairings on the hanger. In this paper, sloping shaped fairing parameters of height, width, and length are optimized to minimize the drag force under subsonic speed region by examining three configurations of fairings : front-fairing only, rear-faring only, and the both front and rear fairing. We use Latin Hypercube Sampling method to determine the experimental points, and computational fluid dynamics with incompressible RANS solver was applied to acquire the data at sampling points. Then, we construct a meta model by kriging method. We find the best choice among three configurations examined : both front and rear fairing reduce the drag force by 63 % without the constraint of fairing mass, and front fairing reduced the drag force by 52 % with the constraint of hanger mass.

  • Internet of Things(IoT) has become a key available technology for efficiently implementing device to device(D2D) services in various domains such as smart home, healthcare, smart city, agriculture, energy, logistics, and transportation. A lightweight publish/subscribe(Pub/Sub) messaging protocol not only establishes data dissemination pattern but also supports connectivity between IoT devices and their applications. Also, a Pub/Sub broker is deployed to facilitate data exchange among IoT devices. A scalable edge-based publish/subscribe (Pub/Sub) broker overlay networks support latency-sensitive IoT applications. In this paper, we design a hypercube grid quorum(HGQ) for distributed Pub/Sub systems based IoT applications. In designing HGQ, the network of hypercube structures suitable for the publish/subscribe model is built in the edge layer, and the proposed HGQ is designed by embedding a mesh overlay network in the hypercube. As their applications, we propose an HGQ-based mechansim for dissemination of the data of sensors or the message/event of IoT devices in IoT environments. The performance of HGQ is evaluated by analytical models. As the results, the latency and load balancing of applications based on the distributed Pub/Sub system using HGQ are improved.

  • 소프트웨어 교육은 현대사회의 필수 교육으로서, 초등학교부터 교육을 접할 수 있도록 교육정책 및 지원 등이 강화되고 있는 실정이다. 그러나 코로나 팬데믹 이후 소프트웨어 교육 체험 활동 중단에 따른 비대면 교육의 한계로 교육 취약 계층과 영재 교육과의 격차가 심화되었다는 우려의 목소리가 크기에 격차 해소에 대한 대책이 필요하다는 의견과, 지역별 취약 계층에 대한 계획이 없는 교육 제도의 변화를 요구하고 있다. 따라서 에듀테크와 통합된 교육 콘텐츠의 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 큐브 형태의 모델링이 가능한 3D 모델링 프로그램인 타다크래프트를 기반으로 교육 소외 계층도 손쉽게 접근할 수 있는 교육 커리큘럼을 제안한다. 3D 모델링을 구현함으로써, 학습자들은 학습에 대한 성과와 흥미를 획득할 수 있고, 공간 확장 능력을 배양할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

A Hyper Cube Spanning Tree Protocol for Smart Grid (스마트그리드를 위한 하이퍼큐브 스패닝 트리 프로토콜)

  • It is well known that spanning tree protocol (STP) is the most commonly used protocol in switching networks for smart grid. STP selectively blocks redundancy links of the network to prevent layer 2 loops in network, and it also has a functionality of backing up links. As with the other protocols, STP has been updated with the continuing development of the network. STP is a broad concept and it does not just refer in particular to defined STP protocol in IEEE 802.1D standards, it refers to updated spanning tree protocol based on STP. Because of uneven distribution of communication traffic in root bridge, STP cannot satisfy fast converge nce while the failure occurs near the root bridge or on the root bridge in tree topologies of STP. In this paper, we propose a novel method --- Hyper Cube Spanning Tree Protocol (HCSTP) to solve uneven distribution of communication traffic. Theoretically, hyper cube in our protocol increases throughput and improves the utilization of communication. The simulation results show that HCSTP can achieve comparative and considerably higher performance than other STP protocols in terms of reconnection.

1H*-tree: An Improved Data Cube Structure for Multi-dimensional Analysis of Data Streams (1H*-tree: 데이터 스트림의 다차원 분석을 위한 개선된 데이터 큐브 구조)

  • In this paper, based on H-tree, which is proposed as the basic data cube structure for multi-dimensional data stream analysis, we have done some analysis. We find there are a lot of redundant nodes in H-tree, and the tree-build method can be improved for saving not only memory, but also time used for inserting tuples. Also, to facilitate more fast and large amount of data stream analysis, which is very important for stream research, H*-tree is designed and developed. Our performance study compare the proposed H*-tree and H-tree, identify that H*-tree can save more memory and time during inserting data stream tuples.
