The prior studies have well established the factors of correctional staff's stress at work. However, it is not clearly identified gender-specific factors influencing female correctional officers' level of stress. Thus, this study aims to examine factors particularly influencing female correctional officers' stress, such as child-rearing and work conflict, overwork bounden, and strains from male-oriented organizational culture. This current data utilized a set of survey data drawn from female correctional officers from 124 prisons located in different regions in this nation. Finally, a total of 172 female correctional officers's survey data was used for the analysis. A set of multivariate analyses reveal that security staff role, satisfaction for life, positive perception toward correctional officers' leadership in prison decreased the risk of stress among female correctional officers. Regarding work-job conflicts variables, child-rearing and work conflict and strains from male-oriented organizational culture were significantly associated with female correctional officers' stress. Yet, the direction of the two variables were different. For female officers, child-rearing and work conflict was not a risk factor for stress in that i decreased the level of stress. But the variable of strains from male-oriented organizational culture was a risk factor for female officers' stress level. Further suggestions for the future studies, discussion on contributions of the current study and policy implications were discussed in the last part of this article.
The court in Korea values evidence justice, and also demands justification for the process of collecting evidence. Therefore, it is necessary to raise the level of organizational commitment, which means that the police investigators performing these tasks feel attached to the police organization they belong to, and that they feel united about the goals of the organization. Based on this recognition, the study analyzed the effects of the police's perception of organizational Justice on organizational commitment, and classified organizational Justice into distributive Justice, procedure Justice and interaction Justice. Therefore, this study analyzes the effect of the police's perception of organizational Justice on organizational commitment and verifies the effect through multiple regression analysis by injecting the trust of Supervisors into a mediating variable. The study was also conducted on the assumption that the trust of Supervisors is important in carrying out the field investigators work in the South Korean police. To achieve the purpose of this research, a total of three surveys were conducted from May 2017 to October 2019 at the National Police Agency using the selection process of investigators and job training courses for the national police, and a total of 500 copies were used as analysis data. Looking at the results analysis of this study, first, it was found that there was a statistically significant static (+) effect on organizational commitment, where the organizational Justice of police officers was a independent variable. Second, the relationship between organizational Justice and organizational commitment has shown that the trust of Supervisors has a mediating effect in korean police organization.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence which affects security performance of registered security guards hired by government buildings via job engagement so that basic data can be provided to improve their security performance. To accommodate this study, a survey was conducted from November 26th to December 27th, 2019 through the cooperation of registered security guards working in government buildings in Seoul, Gwacheon, Daejeon, and Sejong. A total of 234 survey sheets were collected and 28 sheets out of them had missing data or incomplete data so a subsequent total of 206 survey sheets were used in this analysis. SPSS 23.0 was applied making use of the collected data for frequency and descriptive statistics analysis, trustworthiness analysis, exploratory factor analysis, and correlation analysis. By applying AMOS 23.0, a means to examine the structural relation between organization, job engagement, and security performance were able to be analyzed. The result of this study is as follows. First, it was found that organizational justice gives a meaningful positive (+) influence on job engagement for registered security guards. Second, it was found that job engagement for registered security guards gives them a meaningful positive(+) influence in their security performance. Third, it was found that organizational justice does not give any meaningful influence on security performance directly. Fourth, organizational justice does not give any meaningful influence on security performance directly but it gives meaningful positive(+) influence on security performance via job engagement as it takes the role of full mediation variable. Based on the results, in order to maximize security performance of registered security guards, this study recommends that government building administrators to try their best to propose to the National Assembly a proposition for Police Assigned for registered security guards Act to be legalized in order to improve the leveling system of registered security guards so that registered security guards can have more job engagement.
The suggestions that follow are about the plan for the cooperation between private security and local government and the enhancement of its service for facing the change of public peace environment. Fist, by a local government collecting funds, the business for revitalization of local economics should be done to enhance local economic independence. Second, the autonomous right of a local government should be reinforced and the center for taking complete charge of local security should be established in the self-governing body. Third, the private security should be connected with the local characteristics, the role of which enlarged as well. For this developing the model of security service for the local area and working together between private security and police should be achieved. Fourth, it is necessary for a local government to entrust the private security with its public security service. For this it should be achieved to set up the range of local security service and inform local residents of the advantage of security service entrusted to private security. Finally, in connection with the new system of local police, it is necessary to have clear grasp of the work related to the private security among local police services and private security business and local police should take partial charge of the public peace service. Through the cooperation between private security and local government, the role of private security will be enlarged and its business revitalized as well.
Various terrorism in modern society against nation's dignitaries are constantly existing. In order to provide the key figures' perfect protection, the threatening terroizing environment for primary leaders and the route of terrorism should be intercepted. Effective methods of these are summarized as follow. First, recent terrorism against the primary leaders are mostly assassinations, bomb attacks, and suicide bomb attacks, which terminate in a moment. Therefore, security service agents should keep in mind that protection is the best, and government's anti-terrorism agencies should develop policies and set the directions within a new paradigm to the advance anti-terrorism. Second, advance prevention activities against nation's VIP terrorism should be strengthened, such as strengthening security informational activities, constructing cooperative systems of domestic and international facilities, considering continuous system to prevent terrorism, and intensifying safety counterplans of human and material weak points. Third, international cooperative system should be set to apply economical and political sanctions to nations which support terror organizations in direct or indirect ways, and this system needs to strengthen the punishment against terrorists. Fourth, security systems to protect nation's primary leaders should complement, and developing programs for coping with the terrorism and establishing laws for anti-terrorism should be made. Also, educational training of agents who perform anti-terrorism duties should be strengthened, and scientific techniques and equipment for security should be made to protect primary leaders from terrorism.

The purpose of this study was to prospect the possibility of homegrown terrorism that can be generated in the transfer to multi-culture society as various foreigners come to Korea rapidly and suggest the method to cope with the trend. The study analyzed environment and analysis of homegrown terrorism that Korea faces now. The methods to cope with homegrown terrorism are as follows. First, distribution of radical homegrown terrorism via internet should be prevented. Second, the connection between terrorist organization and homegrown terrorist should be prevented. Third, there should be a cooperation among government, residents and religious group. Fourth, there should be an open approach against multi-culture society. Fifth, there should be a systematic control for cause of new conflict. Finally, there should be a long-term approach to cause of new conflict. If we do not make an effort to prevent homegrown terrorism, terrorism environment may face new aspect and national and social cost for it will increase.
The purpose of this study is to investigate about security service history on 1930s in Korea. This study used materials by historical facts for the regulations, books and newspapers in 1930s. In 1930s, security service was unknown details of the historical contents so far. There are four parts conclusion of this study: police department of provisional government, security service agency in the provisional government, security service agents of an independence movement, the general society of Korea. Firstly, Korean regional government in Manchuria, which Kokminbu(國民府) organized the security service agency(警護局) for protect government and public security. Most importantly, the security service agency appearanced an important place which were the independence movement and self-governing administration for Koreans in Manchuria. And the security service agency was required by the security service regulations(警護條例) as law. Secondly, diversity activities of security service in police were exposed the duty as 'car escort service(車輛警護)' for offenders, the 'township office guard' from mobsters, 'woodland protect service(林野警護團)' for fire-raisers. security service as police officer were widely application for protection and safety from danger. Manpower demand forecasting in private security industry can be used for both policy and information function. At a time when police agencies have fewer resources to accomplish their goals, forming partnership with private security firms should be a viable means to choose. But without precise understanding of each other, their partnership could be superficial. At the same time, an important debate is coming out whether security industry will continue to expand in numbers of employees, or level-off in the near future. Such debates are especially important for young people considering careers in private security industry. Recently, ARIMA model has been widely used as a reliable instrument in the many field of industry for demand forecasting. An ARIMA model predicts a value in a response time series as a linear combination of its own past values, past errors, and current and past values of other time series. This study conducts a short-term forecast of manpower demand in private security industry using ARIMA model. After obtaining yearly data of private security officers from 1976 to 2008, this paper are forecasting future trends and proposing some policy orientations. The result shows that ARIMA(0, 2, 1) model is the most appropriate one and forecasts a minimum of 137,387 to maximum 190,124 private security officers will be needed in 2013. The conclusions discuss some implications and predictable changes in policing and coping strategies public police and private security can take.
This study was to analyze structural equation modeling of organizational culture, human resource management and organization performance in the private security corporation. To attain the goal of the study described above paragraphs, the employee of private security corporation located in Seoul, 2006 year were set as a collected group. Human resource management is very important variable mediating organizational culture and performance.
The Guard might focus on a king's personal safety in the wake of the system of the Silla and Taebong dynasties until the establishment of the Goryeo Dynasty's unique political system. The purpose of this research is to examine gob characteristics and organizational effectiveness of security guard on martial arts of security service guard. The subjects of this study are private guard as working security companies of Seoul and Kyongi area and 250 persons. It was a method of questionnaire for this study and used a questionnaire developed by Hackman and Oldham(1976) for gob characteristics and used a questionnaire developed by Tymon(1988) for organizational effectiveness that translated and modified from Kim, Ilsoon and measured by 5 point likert. Depending on sex, 'female' group was high, depending on the age, '46 year-old+ group' was high, depending on the educational level, 'bachelor group' was high, depending on the income, '400manwon+ group' was high. Second, it becomes positive result to the period, the frequency and the intensity of security martial arts practice.
