However there are many problems such as difficult of improvement tennis skill, lack of class days and so many students in a class. These reasons could ultimately damage the overall quality of class. The purpose of this research was to beginner students was fun and easy to learn. The tennis lesson using tools were 1.selective hitting ball, 2. high net hitting ball, 3. hitting orange ball. Scores of the experimental group(n=23) and the control group(n=21) were compared. In order to verify course content was the same 15 weeks, conducted a tennis teaching methods to take advantage of the tools. And tools to take advantage of the students who participated in a class analysis of the qualitative data (interviews, documents, questionnaires, observations, journals). As a result, the satisfaction scores of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group. The tennis lesson using tools to take positive effect(meaning, improved skill, easy, fun/curious/confident) and negative effect(difficulties of adaptation, a high challenge level) was induced. In summary of the quantitative/qualitative data 'Orange Ball' has a positive impact on the girls than boys and teaching methods using tools gave generally positive influence to students.

  • Offender profiling, as a crime investigation technique, aims to respond more effectively to violent crimes. However, attitude that police investigators hold toward offender profiling is quite skeptical, which prevents offender profiling from making effective and practical contributions to police investigations. Therefore, the present study explored development strategies of offender profiling by examining perceptions of offender profiling among 156 Korean National Police University students. Furthermore, a total of 166 students from other universities also participated as a control group. As a result, participants showed positive attitude toward offender profiling, in terms of its necessity, effectiveness, and reliability. However, they believed that Korean police agencies are not making the good use of offender profiling and that profilers are not necessarily taking the lead in solving cases. In terms of the profiler education, the majority of the students who showed interest in becoming a profiler did not know what to learn and how to prepare for becoming one. Finally, limitations of the present study were discussed and suggestions for further research were made.

While the policy is still in effect today, as to how the recipients of the support in the USA make meaning of the programs given much changes in the social climate in respect to Korean culture, has not been examined in-depth. Therefore, through in-depth interviews with Korean Americans, the current study examined how the recipients of the educational program perceive policy on education program towards Korean Americans and whether it has strengthened their nationalism or sentiment towards motherland. The study further examines the factors that influences their sentiments towards the motherland as identified by Korean Americans. The findings show that exposure to the culture and parents' teachings of the Korean values have helped them embrace Korean heritage. Moreover, findings revealed that their sense of Koreanness were due to positive memories from visits they had when they were young and changes in Korea's status in the global arena. Future direction of the policy and suggestion for specific programs for Korean Americans, as well as implications of the findings are discussed.

  • As the number of clinical trials conducted in Korea increases, the need of the Electronic Data Capture (EDC) system for effective clinical data management is also increased. Recently, the Korea Food and Drug Association published 'Guideline for the Electronic Clinical Trial Data Management and Processing' and it would be the foundation for establishing regulation of electronic clinical data management. In this research, we conducted the survey regarding adoption rate of EDC system in clinical trials in hospitals, Contract Research Organizations (CRO), and pharmaceutical companies. And the perceived importance and the ease of application for the Guideline were investigated. The adoption rates of EDC system was 77.6% but it mostly applied to less than five trials. Also EDC system was mostly used in phase I and phase II trials and the utilization rate of CRO was the highest. The perceived importance for the Guideline was high among all three organizations but, in case of the perceived ease of its application, CRO was the highest. Also, the perceived importance of the clinical data standard was high and the standard for data collection was mostly required. However, the comprehension for the global standard of the electronic data was relatively low, so that education is required. This result would be the foundation to increase the electronic clinical trials and develop proper regulation and principles for clinical data standards in Korea.

  • This study analyzed the oral status after recording the images by using QLF-D with targets of 38 youth people with hearing impairment and hearing language impairment. In order to investigate the state of oral hygiene, plaque index (O'Leary index) and contents of investigation of the state of the teeth included the number of sound teeth, the number of caries teeth, dental caries experience and the number of filling teeth. The following results were obtained. First, women lacked the management on plaque and had more caries teeth compared with men. In terms of impairment classification, subjects with both hearing and language impairment lacked the management on plaque and had more caries teeth. Second, subjects who did not get an oral exam for one year had more caries teeth. Oral hygiene score was the highest with the brushing time for 3-4 minutes. The number of sound teeth was increased as the brushing time was increased. In addition, the oral hygiene management time was the highest when cleaning the teeth, gums and tongue at the same time. Third, it was shown that the satisfaction of oral health education by using the new equipment was high. As a result of this study, in order to improve the oral health level of impaired students, they shall be trained to manage their teeth by themselves and educated to increase their motivation and practice. Thus, it is thought that various approaches which are differentiated from existing methods are required to be tried.

  • This study focused on the issue that when a diagnostic detector is found to have a defect, a patient would be exposed to radiation and image quality would be degraded. Though dose analysis, an experiment was conducted to evaluate detector performance as Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) and Contrast to Noise Ratio (CNR). Absorbed dose, SNR and CNR were measured using a dosimeter and a tissue equivalent phantom. The experiment was conducted to compare whether the dose value shown after being attached to the back side of the phantom matches the dose value attached behind the detector, where in the conditions of skull, chest and abdomen were set at 75 kVp, 25 mAs, 110 kVp, 8 mAs, and 80 kVp, 20 mAs, respectively. As a result, there was a difference in that the dose values attached to the back side of the detector were 0.004 mGy, 0.006 mGy, 0.003 mGy, whereas those of the back side of the phantom were 0.006 mGy, 0.016 mGy, 0.017 mGy. In order to match both values, the condition was increased and SNR and CNR also increased from 88.32, 88.10, 4.09, 1.63, 87.94, 79.97 to 93.87, 93.75, 4.91, 4.03, 92.02, 84.92. Though this study, we found that when a detector is found to have a aging, it shortens the life of equipment and increases the dose of a patient, also the improvement effect of image quality is inadequate.

  • In this research, one of five Hofstede's cultural dimension, Long term orientation (LTO) was selected to examine its influence on individual's change oriented organizational citizenship behavior with emotional regulation mediating. East Asian countries and Korea especially received higher score on LTO cultural dimension, meaning it valued harmony, long term relations and saving for future. Also, in today's hyper competitive and evolving global climate, the ability to adapt quickly and also to be able to control one's emotion is highly valued individual competency. Previous research on Hofstede's cultural dimensions were conducted at mostly national or large group levels. However, in this study, Yoo's CVSCALE which allowed for individual level analysis on Hofstede's cultural dimensions were used to analyze multinational company's employees's long term orientations' influence on emotional regulation and change oriented organizational citizenship behavior. The survey conducted from 200 employees from major electronic company based in S city in Korea for two weeks period and the results indicated long term orientation positively influenced change oriented organizational citizenship behavior. Also emotional regulation mediated between long term orientation felt by individuals and change oriented organizational citizenship behavior. Such results validated previous studies that indicated emotional regulation as possible antecedents of individual proactive behaviors such as change organizational citizenship behavior and long term oriented view as another potential antecedent of change oriented organizational citizenship behavior in multinational corporation setting.

  • According to a survey on the frequency of access to medical ads by the Korea Press Foundation in 2017, the most commonly exposed ads among adult men and women are advertising about beauty, plasticity and obesity. As of 2011, South Korea had the largest number of cosmetic surgeries in the world, with 131 cosmetic surgeries per 10,000 people. As a result, as many as 1,414 plastic surgery clinics are operating in South Korea, and the number is also on the rise. Although there are various standards for evaluating people's appearance, the desire to pursue a better look is growing day by day. Then, one might wonder what factors influence consumers' choices among the numerous advertisements for plastic surgery clinics. Based on these questions, this study identified the examples of plastic surgery advertisements, analyzed their type, and identified the types of advertisements with the high visual appeal of the advertising consumer through eye tracking experiment. In total, seven eye-tracking tests of plastic surgery social media advertisements were conducted on 10 subjects. The results showed that the commercial model was the biggest factor that caught the attraction and attention of the ad recipient first and that the most focused and long-standing factor was the treatment contents. Therefore, it is important to select proper commercial models for hospital and clinic contents and to specify factual treatment contents when producing social media advertisements for plastic surgeons. We hope these findings will help create online advertising for plastic surgery clinics effectively.

  • Service-Learning (S-L) is an experiential learning-based teaching-learning method that connects students with curriculum and school-based community service and raises students' academic ability and social responsibility awareness through the value of 'reflection' and 'reciprocity'. This study analyzed the case of S-L course of 'History of Science and Inquire Activity' for pre-service science teachers (PSTs). The S-L lectures linked to the subjects of the History of Science were conducted in terms of three stages (Preparation-Implementation-Evaluation), and S-L classes were conducted in three schools five times. The educational effects of S-L lectures were analyzed by collecting questionnaires, class observation and self-reported reflection diary. The PSTs were able to understand the school realities and improve the teaching abilities and pedagogic content knowledge through educational service activities. The PSTs who participated in the S-L course had hard time due to excessive learning time, the difficulty of preparing the class, the fear of the class, and trial and error. Nonetheless, most of the students responded that they were very satisfied (4.68) with the S-L lecture, and that they could develop self-efficacy for their future teaching career thank to this learning experience.
