Developing and Evaluation of Coordinated Semi-Actuated Signal Control for Field Application (현장적용을 위한 연동형 반감응 신호제어 개발 및 분석)

  • In this paper, Coordinated Semi-Actuated Signal Control algorithm was developed and evaluated. According to the analysis of simulation, the coordinated semi-actuated signal control led to reduced vehicle delay as the difference of traffic volume between major and minor streets was getting bigger. But when there was relatively high traffic volume, or the equivalent amount of traffic volume on major and minor streets, optimized pre-timed signal control was verified to lower delay times compared to coordinated semi-actuated signal control; however, it might increase pedestrian delay. Therefore, the coordinated semi-actuated signal control should be implemented at intersections where traffic volume is relatively low.

  • The study is content-based video retrieval system based on the news video domain as researching for the video data processing method for searching the multimedia information. For the implementation of effective system, We retrieval meaning information and special information using the knowing knowledge about formation and structure of the video data. These are possible to retrieval searching by articles fast and accurately by indexing contents the users want to search. The news domain used in experiment of our system is the KBS news on the air nowadays and precision and recall is used to evaluate the experiment and performance.

  • This study was to develop the simulation learning scenario using standardized patients, and to evaluate the effect of it. This study was a pre-post test design with a single group and participants were recruited from fourth-year nursing students at a university. This study has developed the case scenario for a patient with spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage and the simulation learning using standardized patients, which was applied in this study, had improved problem solving ability and clinical performance ability on nursing students. Through this study, the nursing student will grow up to be a professional nurse by learning the nursing assessment including consciousness assessment. Also, the simulation learning scenario using standardized patient should be developed in the various fields.

Study for Improving military cardiopulmonary resuscitation quality and resuscitation training by combining feedback device and debriefing (피드백 장치와 디브리핑을 통한 군 심폐소생술의 질과 교육훈련 향상 연구)

  • 군의 교육훈련간 디브리핑과 피드백 장치 활용을 통한 심폐소생술 교육방법을 적용하여 보다 효과적인 교육 방법을 확인하고 심폐소생술 수행 전 후 피로도를 검사하여 심폐소생술 술기가 숙달된 인원과 숙달되지 않은 인원의 피로도 차이를 분석함으로써 심폐소생술 교육프로그램의 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. 현재 야전에서 응급처치교육을 받은 적이 없는 비 의무병인자로 전투병 생존법 교육 소집 대상자 중 참여 희망자 50명을 대상으로 하였다. 연구방법은 3가지 교육방법(디브리핑, 피드백장치, 디브리핑과 피드백장치 조합) 을 적용한 3개의 그룹에서 1,2,3차의 평가와 전체 디브리핑을 통해 심폐소생술 수행능력의 질적 향상에 미치는 영향과 동일 대상 중 희망자 20명에 한하여 심폐소생술 수행(5분) 전 후 혈중 젖산 농도 측정 및 주관적인 문답(1~10점)을 통해 심폐소생술 수행에 따른 피로도 실험을 진행하였다. 3가지 교육방법에 따른 심폐소생술수행능력 향상은 모든 그룹에서 유의하였으며(p<.001), 그룹별 심폐소생술 수행능력 향상효과의 차이는 디브리핑과 피드백장치를 조합하여 적용한 그룹에서 유의하게 높았다(p<.01). 심폐소생술 수행능력이 숙달되기 전 후의 피로도에 대해서는 본인이 느끼는 피로도는 유의한 차이는 없었으나 혈중 젖산농도에 따른 피로도는 유의한 차이로 전보다 후가 낮아졌다(p<.01).

Economic Effect of Automatic Temperature Compensation (석유류제품 토출온도 보정에 따른 경제성 분석)

  • The importance of physical changes in volume due to changes in temperature has been known for more than a century by the petroleum industry. To examine whether there are any differences between the economic effect of automatic temperature compensation and that of installation cost. The results of the analysis show that there are no ineffective in automatic temperature compensation installation. Analysis showed the increase of price oil will impact negatively on the automatic temperature compensation, appropriate level of economic cost and economic benefit should be calculated for the policy implementation in the future's study.

Instruction-level Power Model for Asynchronous Processor, A8051 (비동기식 프로세서 A8051의 명령어 레벨 소비 전력 모델)

  • This paper presents new instruction-level power model for an asynchronous processor, A8051. Even though the proposed model estimates power consumption as instruction level, this model reflects the behavioral features of asynchronous pipeline during the program is executed. Thus, it can effectively enhance the accuracy of power model for an asynchronous embedded processor without significant complexity of power model as well as the increase of simulation time. The proposed power model is based on the implementation of A8051 to reflect the characteristics of power consumption in A8051. The simulation results of the proposed model is compared with that of gate-level synthesized A8051. The proposed power model shows the accuracy of 94% and the simulation time for estimation the power consumption was reduced to 1,600 times.

Improved LC-trie for Efficient IP Address Lookup (효율적인 IP 주소 검색을 위한 개선된 LC-trie)

  • IP address lookup is one of the most important and complex functions in the router. In this paper, we propose an improved technique of LC-trie to increase the performance of IP address lookup in the high performance router. We effectively apply the prefix pruning method, which is used for the compression of the forwarding table in TCAM((Ternary Content Addressable Memory), to the LC-trie. This technique can decrease the number of memory accesses and upgrade the lookup speed. Moreover, through the real forwarding table and the real traffic distribution, we evaluate the performance of our scheme in terms of the lookup time and the number of memory access, comparing with that of the previous LC-trie.

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient data management scheme for path queries and containment queries which are occurred frequently. The proposed data management scheme considers a change of the containment of products during a transport and supports a path of changed products by representing a path of various containments. Also, the compression utilizing the structure of supply chain reduces the stored data volumes. As a result, our method outperforms the existing methods in terms of storage efficiency and query processing time.

  • As the Medical Serious Games are recently proven effective, the quality evaluation of the game has become an important issue. In quality evaluation, objective criteria and evaluation elements are important. Quality evaluation of the serious game is divided into two areas : the technical (from the point of view of Program) and the non-technical (from the point of view of Content). In this study, we developed the quality evaluation element of the non-technical area to the psychotherapy and the health & rehab game according to developing process of quality evaluation model. We extracted five evaluation elements from the two kinds of medical games, and interviewed with medical experts in order to ensure the validity of them. The goodness of fit tests for the elements mentioned above were verified by conducting. Chi-square test results for the two groups did not differ significantly. In conclusion, we expect to take advantage of the results of this study to design and develop serious games for medical treatment.

A Study on Improving Pricing Criteria for Post-Construction Evaluation (건설공사 사후평가 용역대가기준 개선방안)

  • In 2000, post-construction evaluation was introduced for the purposes to evaluate demand, cost, and construction period of public construction projects and to reduce errors of public order agencies. However, pricing guide of post-construction evaluation has not been established, which becomes a cause of quality degradation of post-construction service and conflict occurrence. This study suggests the pricing guide in the form of percentage of construction cost method and cost plus fee method based on data of post-construction evaluation. This study investigates the construction costs and service costs for post-construction evaluation and conducts the comparative analysis of 'percentage of construction cost method' and 'cost plus fee method.' The analysis result shows 'cost plus fee method' is more accuracy than 'percentage of construction cost method.' In particular, cost plus fee method includes various correction coefficients, such as distance, area, and integration, in order to reflect the project characteristics of each infrastructure, and suggests linear construction (roads, railways), nonlinear construction I (housing and industry complex), and nonlinear construction II (airports, seaports, dams, water and sewage).
