This study aims to verify how the characteristics of organizational supporting unit affect the effectiveness of company-wide HRD Education & Training program. To achieve this objective, we performed an empirical analysis, with the characteristics of organizational supporting unit comprising supervisor's support, job support, and company support as independent variables, and with the level of reaction stage, learning stage, transfer stage, and result stage as dependent variables. Empirical data was collected during the period from August 16, 2011 to September 9, 2011 by sending out questionnaires to employees of 5 securities firms listed on KOSDAQ where online and offline education & training program is running year-round with headquarter in Seoul. A total of 340 questionnaires were sent out three times for the survey, and total of 164 questionnaires were sampled for the final analysis. According to the outcome of the analysis, regarding the first hypothesis that tries to reveal how the characteristics affect the level of reaction stage, it is verified that all of supervisor's support, job support and company support have positive impact on the level of reaction stage with p value less than 0.01. In regard to the second hypothesis that tries to see how the characteristics affect the level of learning stage, it is confirmed that supervisor's support, job support and company support have significant impact on the level of learning stage with p value less than 0.05 or 0.01, respectively. Concerning the third hypothesis that aims to investigate how the characteristics affect the level of transfer stage, it is appeared that all of supervisor's support, job support and company support have positive impact on the level of transfer stage. And lastly, as for the fourth hypothesis that tries to see how the characteristics affect the level of result stage, it is analyzed that supervisor's support, job support and company support have positive impact on the level of result stage with p value less than 0.01. This study reconfirm the outcomes of previous research, which is that the effectiveness of company-wide education & training program depends not only on the contents and quality of education & training program, but also more importantly on the role of organizational supporting unit, and the working environment where what is learned in classroom can be applied to real business. Companies or experts that run education & training program in real world should recognize that the performance of training is dependent more significantly on the characteristics of organizational supporting unit rather than the design or features of education & training program.

Online education in the field of LIS has continued to spread out in university curricula or with collaborative online programs through consortia among universities. Unlike the traditional online education, however, MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) with the recent advent and advances have risen as a new paradigm in education of the future in that these are massive online learner-centered courses, free and open to any person with no limit on enrollment. With no exception to this phenomenon, the LIS field centered by overseas iSchool universities has been offering MOOCs for core LIS courses. This research conducted a case study of utilizing a part of overseas LIS MOOCs in a core LIS course at domestic University-A, in order to explore the potential for utilizing overseas MOOCs in LIS education. The results of conducting a survey and a focus group interview to students discovered that MOOCs content was interesting and useful and many of them were willing to take other MOOCs in the future, despite some language barriers. Based on these findings, this study suggested the need for establishing educational value, administering methods, ways to motivate students, and designing MOOCs by incorporating the characteristics of the LIS field, as ways to utilize MOOCs in LIS education.

Followed by that HTML5(Hypertext Markup Language5) was introduced, many kinds of program and services based on this have been developed and released. HTML5 is technical standard specifications for cross platform for personal computers and mobile devices so that it is expected that continuing progress and wide application in the both sides of the academic and the industrial fields increase. This study is to design and implement a mobile application program for overlay rendering with DEM and other geo-based image sets using HTML5 WebGL for 3D graphic processing on web environment. Particularly, the blending technique was used for overlay processing with multiple images. Among available WebGL frameworks, CubicVR.js was adopted, and various blending techniques were provided in the user interface for general users. For the actual application in the study area around the Sejong city, serveral types of geo-based data sets were used and processed: KOMPSAT-2 images, ALOS PALSAR SAR images, and grid data by environment measurements. While, DEM for 3D viewing with these geo-based images was produced using contour information of the digital map sets. This work demonstrates possibilities that new types of contents and service system using geo-based images can be extracted and applied.
This study was intended to determine how developed Smart learning teaching-learning program on the unit of Solar system and Star affected on science-related attitude, science learning interest and academic achievement. The unit of Solar system and Star was selected among 5th grade science curriculum contents to design smart learning teaching-learning program. Smart learning instruction program utilized a various contents of smart equipment and made learners to do problem solving through their interaction and cooperation. The results of this study were as follows: First, smart learning instruction improved the science-related attitude and the science learning interest and the academic achievement of the experimental group students significantly. Sencond, the survey and the individual face-to-face data shows the positive effects of smart learning instruction. Especially, the satisfaction was high on the attitudes and interests in the classroom and the students regarded the classroom activities as interesting games by using the smart devices. On the basic of the conclusions, this work suggested the direction of the future studies, such as necessity of developments and researches on Smart learning teaching-learning program about other units or other subjects, such as measures of the increasing the intrinsic interest on science rather than Smart learning elicit simple interest and attitude.
Recently new web trends and mobile technologies are expanding and developing so fast. To improve the implementation efficiency of information systems, eGovernment standard framework has been developed and distributed. Recently, eGovernment standard framework for mobile environment was further developed. In addition, many types of public data produced by public organizations supported by government are being opened through public data portal according to Government 3.0 policy. Demands regarding web standards and common framework usages for mobile application development in most business fields dealing with any types of contents are increasing. However, to link those things to geo-spatial data or integrate those with them are an early stage in the geo-spatial application field, compared to other application fields. Based on these backgrounds, a mobile web application system was designed and implemented to present visualization functionalities of public data and geo-spatial data using HTML5 components under mobile operation environment in eGovernment standard framework in this study. It is expected that this system can be applied to develop many mobile application business models, by the further works such as application of core developing environment in eGovernment standard framework, additional functionalities, and high performance to satisfy with user requirements for a certain target application.
Nowadays most business organizations wish to hire competent people who can do their own jobs efficiently right after their employment. The primary goal of this study is to focus on how we can train undergraduate students in academia-industry collaboration to satisfy this requirement. By making use of the funding from the Ministry of Education & Human Resources Development to support academia-industry collaboration program, we established an intramural company, Hankyong Design Company, and set up several studio courses for junior and senior students. To develop these courses efficiently for the first semester of 2005, studied both intramural and extramural environments of academia-industry collaboration and searched for good examples of them. Based on this investigation, I made some assumptions that how we can perform the academia-industry collaboration program for undergraduate students successfully. I chose several design tasks related to digital communications, and appointed WisePost Inc., an Internet communication service company for MSN Messenger, to be a collaborator. We made the 'Interactive Design' studio courses together and applied the courses to 20 juniors. At the end of the semester, we evaluated the works of the students, and selected and commercialized some excellent items among them. During the course work, I realized the fact that education programs in academia-industry collaboration is feasible for undergraduate students majoring in design. I understanded the overall merits and demerits of conventional studio and academia-industry collaboration courses. In addition, the results from the present study suggest that the role of professor in academia-industry collaboration program would be quite different from conventional studio courses.

There are several data broadcasting standards that the developers should apply when develops any interactive digital TV contents. In Korea, we adopts ACAP(Advanced Common Application Platform) as terrestrial data broadcasting standard, MHP(Multimedia Home Platform) fur satellite data broadcasting and OCAP(OpenCable Application Platform) for cable data broadcasting. Therefore, content providers must develop different applications which suited for different standards - even if the application is exactly same. This is waste of time and energy. This paper suggests a solution to solve this problem among different broadcasting platforms - MHP, OCAP and ACAP. We compared these specifications, and found out what APIs are typically used far applications. Then we designed XML file structures that can be used to define contents of applications. We also implemented an authoring tool which automatically generates XML files by interaction with users. This paper also ascertains Xlet applications, produced by the authoring tool, works properly on each different data broadcasting standard - MHP, OCAP and ACAP.

Medical imagery require to protect the privacy with preserving the quality of the original contents. Therefore, reversible watermarking is a solution for this purpose. Previous researches have focused on general imagery and achieved high capacity and high quality. However, they raise a distortion over entire image and hence are not applicable to medical imagery which require to preserve the quality of the objects. In this paper, we propose a novel reversible watermarking for medical imagery, which preserve the quality of the objects and achieves high capacity. First, object and background region is segmented and then predicted error histogram-based reversible watermarking is applied for each region. For the efficient watermark embedding with small distortion in the object region, the embedding level at object region is set as low while the embedding level at background region is set as high. In experiments, the proposed algorithm is compared with the previous predicted error histogram-based algorithm in aspects of embedding capacity and perceptual quality. Results support that the proposed algorithm performs well over the previous algorithm.

Social networking applications has building a network and communication with others than other application, it means that Social networking applications are sharing not only personal purpose in that trend of variety and competition of these social networks can be expected to trend and be developed thru analysis of user certification. this study of social network service application is proposed to developing of application thru analyze the two-effective application which is high ranked in google store. the theoretical foundation was set based on the seven elements of the social network service of the information structures designed by Jean Smith. This study proceeded analysis is for the functional elements of Facebook and Instagram, and the advantages and disadvantages through survey research. As a result of the empirical analysis to user of Instagram and face book of communication, identity, satisfaction for the group are equally. Instagram is about the presence, reputation, and Facebook has had a high level of satisfaction for each sharing and relationship. Facebook got high satisfaction from sharing features, but user feel of discomfort in the randomly showing advertising content. Instagram is not showing off advertise on common page of content, it is good point to be complementary to facebook. And, Instagram hashtag is good for convenience, but satisfaction is high with Facebook. in order to increase the satisfaction of Instagram, it is necessary to consider the main advantage of the communication and the functional aspects of the share from facebook.

The purpose of this paper is to evaluate usability quality through investigating the factors of usability for internet shopping mall websites. For this study, previous studies were investigated and experts' discussions were held. In result, six characters of usability were chosen such as content satisfaction. customer attraction satisfaction, price information satisfaction, public security satisfaction, user interface satisfaction. and process of transaction satisfaction that affect usability of shopping mall websites and the evaluation models of 72 detailed measure factors were established. Since these 72 sub-factors inc)ode the key words of HTML, XML, JSP, and ASP from the target websites. 33 measurable sub-factors in the information were measured through usability evaluation experiment. In addition, a questionnaire about usability measure factors was executed after preferable websites and not preferable websites are selected. After that, we verified the reasonability of usability measure model factors comparing the results of the evaluation experiment with the result of the questionnaire. The time it takes to measure the usability of shopping mall websites can be reduced by using this measurement supporting tool. Also, this tool may be used to estimate the usability during the development of a shopping mall website.
