This study aims to investigate the current status of mobile search functions of Korean search portals, namely Google Korea, Naver, Nate, Daum, and Yahoo Korea. This study focuses on unique mobile search functionalities, such as voice search, music search, code search, and visual/ object search. In particular, this study analyzed characteristics of these search functions and evaluated their performances based on the accuracy and the speed of recognition. The results of this study show that both Naver and Daum support various mobile searching functions, whereas Google only supports voice search. Nate and Yahoo do not offer any unique function. The results of this study can be applied to the portal's effective development of mobile search functionalities.

In this paper, we proposed a content-based video search method using the eigen value of key frame and intensity component. We divided the video stream into shot units to extract key frame representing each shot, and get the intensity distribution of the shot from the database generated by using ECA(Eigen Component Analysis). The generated codebook, their index value for each key frame, and the intensity values were used for database. The query image is utilized to find video stream that has the most similar frame by using the euclidean distance measure among the codewords in the codebook. The experimental results showed that the proposed algorithm is superior to any other methols in the search outcome since it makes use of eigen value and intensity elements, and reduces the processing time etc.

본 논문은 소프트웨어의 효율적인 재사용을 위해 소스 코드 기반 컴포넌트 검색 방법을 제안하였다. 제안한 방법은 2단계로 이루어지는데, 먼저 라이브러리에 저장된 클래스를 기반으로 한 컴포넌트는 파싱 과정을 거쳐 의미망을 구성하고, 다음으로 사용자가 질의한 소스 코드를 이용하여 검색이 이루어진다. 소스 코드에서 추출된 식별자가 컴포넌트의 의미망을 활성화시켜 연관된 컴포넌트를 검색한다. 본 연구에서 제안한 검색방법은 프로그래머의 관심을 라이브러리 내에 있는 컴포넌트로 유도하여 재사용성을 높일 수 있으며, 프로그래밍 패턴을 제공함으로써 프로그래머로 하여금 프로그램의 가이드 라인으로 사용할 수 있도록 도움을 줄 수 있다.

본 논문에서는 잡지에서 브랜드광고에 QR코드를 제공하여 실시간으로 장소에 대한 위치정보, 상세정보, 판매처 등을 제공하여 소비자가 편리하게 정보를 제공받을 수 있는 QR코드를 활용한 잡지 상품 검색 시스템을 제안하고, QR입력기능, 전국매장 위치제공 기능, 가까운 매장 위치 제공, 검색기록 불러오기 기능을 포함하는 상품 검색 시스템을 설계하였다.

Users of searching Internet English dictionary sometimes do not know the correct spelling of the word in mind, but remember only its pronunciation. In order to help these users, we propose a method to retrieve English words effectively with a spoken word transliteration that is a Korean transliteration of English word pronunciation. We develop KONIX codes and transform a spoken word transliteration and English words into them. We then calculate the phonetic similarity between KONIX codes using edit distance and 2-gram methods. Experimental results show that the proposed method is very effective for retrieving English words with a spoken word transliteration.

Reduced complexity codebook searching for Quantized Equal Gain Transmission(QEGT) is proposed over MIMO-OFDM systems. QEGT codebook is divided into M groups of Q index members. Each group has a representative index. At the 1st stage only the representative indices are searched then the best index is selected. At the 2nd stage the optimum index is determined only among the group of the selected representative index. This strategy reduces the overall index search algorithm comparing to the conventional methods. Monte-Carlo simulation shows that the searching complexity is reduced, but the link-level performance is still almost the same as the conventional methods when the number of transmission antennas are 3 to 7.

본 논문에서는 CELP 음성 부호화기의 성능을 향상시키는 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 최적 코드북 검색 과정에서 추가적인 알고리듬의 지연 없이 미래 정보를 이용하고 두 인접한 코드북 부프레임 사이의 동시 최적화를 통하여 음성 부호화기의 성능을 향상시킨다. 또한, 제안된 코드북 검색 과정의 계산량을 조절하기 위한 방법도 제공된다. 제안된 방법의 성능을 검증하기 위하여 IS-96A QCELP 음성 부호화기를 이용하여 합성음의 스펙트럼과 Segmental SNR로 성능을 측정하는 모의실험을 실시하였으며, 제안된 방법을 적용한 QCELP 음성 부호화기가 기존의 QCELP에 비하여 향상된 성능을 보여주었다.

본 논문은 웹 상에서 이미지검색 시스템을 구현하는데 검색방법은 영상의 영역과 넓이를 이용한 체인 코드에 기반 하여 복잡도와 영역 색상 정보를 이용하였고, 클라이언트와 서버간의 데이터베이스 연결은 JDBC를 이용하였다. 기존의 검색할 때마다 프로세스가 필요한 CGI를 이용한 방법보다 더 효율적이었다 입력된 영상을 이용하여 검색하는 방법을 사용하였으며, 색상 정보 추출은 RGB신호를 256칼라로 양자화 하였다. 영상의 색상과 객체가 갖는 복잡도를 이용한 내용기반 영상 검색방법을 제시하였다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 방법인 색상특징 과 제안한 체인코드에 의한 객체의 복잡도를 특징으로 하는 공간정보를 결합한 방법을 제안하였다 실험결과 영상의 모양 특징도 고려한 제안한 방법이 내용기반 검색에서 색상 특징만을 고려한 기존의 방법보다 우수하였다.

원시 프로그램에 대한 컴파일 과정 중 최적화 단계에서는 프로그램의 실행 속도를 개선시키고 코드 크기를 줄일 수 있는 다양한 최적화 기법을 수행한다. 특히, 핍홀 ��적화는 비효율적인 명령어의 순서를 구별해 내고 연속되는 명령어의 순서를 의미적으로 동등하면서 좀 더 효율적인 코드로 개선하는 방법이다. 최적화 패턴 매칭 방법 중 스트링 패턴 매칭 방법은 중간 코드에 대응하는 최적의 패턴을 찾기 위한 방법으로 과다한 최적화 패턴 검색 시간으로 비효율적이고, 트리 패턴 매칭은 패턴 결정시 중복 비교가 발생할 수 있으며, 코드의 트리 구성에 많은 비용이 드는 단점을 가지고 있는 방법들이다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 최적화 방법들의 단점을 극복하기 위한 방법으로 DFA(Deterministic Finite Automata)를 이용한 코드 최적화 방법을 제안한다. 이 방법은 다른 패턴 매칭 기법보다 오토마타(Automata)로 구성하기 때문에 비용은 적어지고, 오토마타를 통해 결정적으로 패턴이 확정됨에 따른 패턴 선택 비용이 줄어들며, 최적화 패턴 검색 시간도 빨라지는 효율적인 방법이다.

4.8kbps 내외의 전송률에서 양호한 음질을 제공하는 CELP 계열 음성 부호화기 중에서 인터넷 폰 및 화상회의를 목적으로 개발된 G.723.1은 5.3kbps ACELP(Algebraic CELP)와 6.3kbps MP-MLQ(Multi-Pulse Maximum Likelihood Quantization) 두 개의 부호화기를 포함하고 있다[1]. 이 중 MP-MLQ는 고정 코드북 검색 시 많은 계산량으로 인해 실시간 구현에 어려움이 따르고 있다. 이러한 문제점을 개선하기 위해 본 논문에서는 유/무성음을 분리한 후 grid bit를 먼저 결정하여 코드북을 검색하는 방법 제안한다. LSP 파라미터의 분포특성을 이용하여 유/무성음을 분리한 후 무성음에 대해서는 스펙트럼 정보만 전송하고 유성음에 대해서만 코드북 검색을 수행한다. 그리고 코드북 검색 시 Grid bit를 먼저 결정하여 수행하였다. Grid bit는 짝/홀수번째 전체 펄스를 이용하여 합성한 합성음과 DC 성분이 제거된 원음과의 비교를 통하여 결정하였다. 실험 결과 전체 처리시간은 평균적으로 약 $20.55\%$ 감소하였으며 주관적 음질평가 결과 음질 열하는 거의 발생하지 않았다.
