  • Telecommunication network are becomming bigger and more complex. Its difficult to manage efficiently the networks, because these networks usually have heterogeneous and inompatoble compinents. Nevertheless, current approaches to network management have focused on centralized managementstrategies based on client-server architecture. These approaches have resulted in much weakness in the real-time management, the service extensibility, and the network scalability. In thispaper, we applied the mobile agent technology to solve the above problems. Jave is a promising technology for developing mobile agent system. But, there are several problems like the service extensibility in using the Java. To solve these problems, a new approach using digital signature is suggested to authenticate mobile agent in network management environments. This approach can solve the conflict between security of the system and extensibility of the mobile code. Moreover, the system suggested in this paper show the decentralized and flexible network management solutions.

  • In the shared-memory mutiprocessor systems, shared processing techniques such as time-sharing, space¬sharing, and gang-scheduling are used to improve the overall system utilization for the parallel operations. Recently, LLPC(Loop-Level Process Control) allocation technique was proposed. It dynamically adjusts the needed number of processors for the execution of the parallel code portions based on the current system load in the given job. This method allocates as many available processors as possible, and does not save any processors for the parallel sections of other later-arriving applications. To solve this problem, in this paper, we propose a new processor allocation technique called FPA(Fuzzy Processor Allocation) that dynamically adjusts the number of processors by fuzzifYing the amounts ofueeded number of processors, loads, and estimated execution times of job. The proposed method provides the maximum possibility of the parallism of each job without system overload. We compare the performances of our approaches with the conventional results. The experiments show that the proposed method provides a better performance.

  • The N basis functions are typically chosen so that Surface reflectance functions(SRFs) and spectral power distributions (SPDs) can be accurately reconstructed from their N-dimensional vector codes. Typical rendering applications assume that the resulting mapping is an isomorphism where vector operations of addition, scalar multiplication, component-wise multiplication on the N-vectors can be used to model physical operations such as superposition of lights, light-surface interactions and inter-reflection. The vector operations do not mirror the physical. However, if the choice of basis functions is restricted to characteristic functions then the resulting map between SPDs/SRFs and N-vectors is anisomorphism that preserves the physical operations needed in rendering. This paper will show how to select optimal characteristic function bases of any dimension N (number of basis functions) and also evaluate how accurately a large set of Munsell color chips can approximated as basis functions of dimension N.

  • The importance of prediction is becoming more emphasized, due to the uncertain business environment. In order to implement the predictive model, a number of data engineers and scientists are involved in the project and various prediction ideas are suggested to enhance the model. it takes a long time to validate the model's accuracy. Also It's hard to redesign and develop the code. In this study, development method such as Lego is suggested to find the most efficient idea to integrate various prediction methodologies into one model. This development methodology is possible by setting the same data layout for the development code for each idea. Therefore, it can be validated by each idea and it is easy to add and delete ideas as it is developed in Lego form, which can shorten the entire development process time. Finally, result of test is shown to confirm whether the proposed method is easy to add and delete ideas.

  • The speech recognition is an active research area in the human computer interface (HCI). The objective of this study is to control digital devices with voices. In addition, the mouse is used as a computer peripheral tool which is widely used and provided in graphical user interface (GUI) computing environments. In this paper, we propose a method of controlling the mouse with the real-time speech recognition function of a smartphone. The processing steps include extracting the core voice signal after receiving a proper length voice input with real time, to perform the quantization by using the learned code book after feature extracting with mel frequency cepstral coefficient (MFCC), and to finally recognize the corresponding vowel using hidden markov model (HMM). In addition a virtual mouse is operated by mapping each vowel to the mouse command. Finally, we show the various mouse operations on the desktop PC display with the implemented smartphone application.

  • A secure entrance system is complicated because it should have various functions like monitoring, logging, tracing, authentication, authorization, staff locating, managing staff enter-and-leave, and gate control. In this paper, we built and applied a secure entrance system for a domestic nuclear plant using Aspect Oriented Programming(AOP) and design pattern. Using AOP has an advantage of clearly distinguishing the role for each functional module because building a system separated independently from the system's business logic and security logic is possible. It can manage system alternation flexibility by frequent change of external environment, building a more flexible system based on increased code reuse, efficient functioning is possible which is an original advantage of AOP. Using design pattern enables to design by structuring the complicated problems that arise in general software development. Therefore, the safety of the system can also be guaranteed.

  • Shear studs with a diameter of 19mm or 22mm are typically used in steel-concrete composite bridge. For the simplification of details in steel bridges, the convenience of removing concrete slab, and the efficient distribution of shear pockets for precast decks, large studs can be an excellent alternative. Through push-out tests on large stud shear connectors that transcend the limitation of current design codes, static behavior was investigated and comparisons with design equations performed. The shear stiffness of the connectors in elastic range and trilinear load-slip curves were proposed after shear tests on 25mm, 27mm, and 30mm studs. The ultimate slip capacity and ultimate strength of large studs were also evaluated, with the test results revealing conservative values for the design shear strength in Eurocode-4. For 30mm stud shear connectors, the welding quality and bearing capacity of concrete slab should be improved.

  • Caballeronia sordidicola strain PAMC 26577 was isolated from Cladonia sp., a lichen collected from Svalbard Archipelago in the Arctic Ocean. Draft genomic sequences of PAMC 26577 were determined using Illumina and 182 contigs were submitted to GenBank and N50 value was 159,226. The genome of PAMC 26577 was comprised of 8,334,211 base pairs and %G+C content was 59.4. The genome included 8 ribosomal RNA genes and 51 tRNA genes as non-coding sequences. Protein-coding genes were 8,065 in number and they included central metabolism genes as well as butanol/butyrate biosynthesis, polyhydroxybutyrate metabolism, serine cycle methylotrophy genes, and glycogen metabolism. Membrane transporters were more than two-hundreds in number, but sugar phosphotransferase system and TRAP transporters were lacking. PAMC 26577 lacked CRISPR-associated sequences and proteins. No transposable elements were observed and there were only limited number of phage remnant regions with 11 phage-related genes.

  • The shape of an impeller splitter for a dual-inlet centrifugal blower was optimized to enhance the blower performance. Two design variable, the normalized chord and pitch of a splitter, were used to evaluate the blower performance and internal flow fields based on the three-dimensional flow analysis. The blower performance obtained using this numerical simulation had a maximum error of 4 percent compared to that in an experiment at the design flow condition. The shape optimization of the splitter successfully increased the blower efficiency and pressure by 3.65 and 1.14 percent compared to the reference values. The blower performance was increased by reducing the flow separation near the blade suction surface by optimizing the shape of the splitter, which produced a pressure increase at the outlet of the volute casing.

  • A customized CFD simulator to perform thermo-fluid dynamic simulations of an HVAC for an indoor space is presented. This simulation system has been developed for engineers studying architectural engineering, as the HVAC mechanical systems used in housings and buildings. Hence, all functions and options are so designed to be suitable that they are suitable for non-CFD experts as well as CFD engineers. A Computational mesh is generated by open-source libraries, FEMM (Finite Element Method Magnetics), and OpenFOAM. Once the boundary conditions are set, the fluid dynamic calculations are performed using the OpenFOAM solver. Numerical results are validated by comparing them with the experimental data for a simple indoor air flow case. In this paper, an entirely new calculation process is introduced, and the flow simulation results for a sample office room are also discussed.
