Study on a Clinical Collaborative Communication System in Healthcare Organizations -Focused on Patient Education (보건의료 조직의 협업적 의료 커뮤니케이션 시스템에 대한 연구 - 환자교육을 중심으로)

  • Communication errors have severe consequences clinical quality and disputes in medical organizations. Thus, clinical communication has become a major practice recently, since clinical and managerial effectiveness can also be enhanced by improving the quality of the physician, medical staff, and laboratories interactions. Both medium and large-sized hospitals are increasingly adopting the philosophy to shorten clinical service time while enhancing higher medical service quality and lower healthcare service costs. From this motivation, this paper studies on the clinical collaborative communication concept and investigates approaches to the philosophy for implementation. The system has been theorized to improve communication and enhancing medical outcome qualities. In addition, to validate the system, the author analyzes the efficiency and effectiveness in S hospital, using statistical survey works.

  • The purpose of this review is to identify factors that affect the quality of cyber universities. While the previous studies focused on the university-level factors, the review revealed that the country-level, social-level, and individual-level variables are also important factors influencing the quality of cyber universities organically and systematically. Therefore, the current study asserts that additional predictors should be added with regard to its systemic structure. These variables would include basic educational environment (e.g., teachers, staff, educational system), related regulations, management system, student willingness to participate in learning and their motivation, the government's awareness of cyber universities and polity support, and societal recognition/assessment of cyber universities.

  • Recently, the demand for the customized courseware which is required from the learners is increased. Therefore the needs of the efficient and automated education agents in the web-based instruction are recognized. In this paper we propose a multi-agent system for course scheduling of learner-oriented using weakness analysis algorithm. At first proposed system analyze learner's result of evaluation and calculates learning accomplishment. From this accomplishment the multi-agent schedules the suitable course for the learner. The learner achieves an active and complete learning from the repeated and suitable course.

  • We have developed a peer agent to support programming learning and analyzed its educational effects in a programming course. The agent acts as a tutor or a tutee. The role of a tutor/tutee is like the role of a navigator/driver in pair programming. While students are learning with the peer agent, the students' programming abilities are modeled. Based on the student's model, the peer agent provides appropriate feedbacks and contents to the learner. The peer agent gives positive effects on learners' achievement and self-efficacy in a programming course. It means that the peer agent system helps the learner in an affective domain as well as a cognitive domain.

  • A rapid growth of IT convergence into different application areas draws a lot of interest in high performance platform and embedded system. Industry needs well educated computer professionals with the practical understanding on the emerging technologies and core issues of contemporary popular services. In this paper, we present an education framework for computer system architecture based on rigorous analyses of the characteristics of IT convergence services and information technology trends. The proposed framework puts emphasis on real-world and hands-on subjects related to multicore architecture, embedded system and parallel processing. We believe effective use in the development and management of computer system architecture courses encouraging both industries and students.

  • Elementary schools and middle schools currently manage their student data by using the education administration system. One of its sub-systems called 'the academic affairs support system' is especially dedicated to handle school and academic affairs data. By allowing simple data search and statistical data calculations, it helps teachers easily integrate and manage education information resources. However, it is not easy for teachers to analyze the correlations among student data. In this paper, we showed by examples that a lot of meaningful information can be extracted by analyzing the relations among student data. Based on the results, we designed and implemented SIMS as a tool to provide teachers with such services. SIMS makes use of Association Rules for data correlation analyses. SIMS can be used in connection with the academic affairs support system, and is much easier to use than previously developed commercial products for similar services.

  • Collaborative Filtering is a popular technology in electronic commerce, which adapt the opinions of entire communities to provide interesting products or personalized resources and items. It has been applied to many kinds of electronic commerce domain since Collaborative Filtering has proven an accurate and reliable tool. But educational application remain limited yet. We design collaborative filtering recommendation system using user's ratings in educational contents recommendation. Also We propose a method of similarity compensation using user's information for improvement of recommendation accuracy. The proposed method is more efficient than the traditional collaborative filtering method by experimental comparisons of mean absolute error(MAE) and reciever operating characteristics(ROC) values.

  • Programming education is an important part of the ICT education field, and helps to increase the ability of analyzing, logical thinking, and solving procedural problems. Unfortunately, there is very little chance to learn computer programming nowadays. In addition, students have to install the translating program of the programming language they wish to study. In this paper, we describe the system we designed and implemented on the Internet, which can offer the setting to make programs to run on the WWW. Students can make, edit and run programs on the WWW though they did not set up the language translator program on their local computers.

  • Recently the user of distance education system using Intemet-Web are increasing rapidly. This paper shows that Hierarchical WBI documents generator by using CGI is devised and applied to development of distance education system for group-level spoken english. This overcomes the problems of the ready-made programs, which took a lot of time and cost. To generate WBI documents, The key is established to each document saved in server by types of the hierarchical structure and is transmitted to client. By client transmitting this key to server when next documentary is required. Sever can know what documents the client needs. The WBI documentary generator tells the keys transmitted from the client, automatically generates a new documentary to send, and delivery it.

  • In this paper, we propose a design and development method of an elevator simulator that can be used as an embedded application layer software learning tool and a teaching and learning method using it. The simulator provides students with an environment to implement the operating principle and control method of the elevator system in the application layer excluding the issues of hardware and embedded OS layer. This allows students to have a reactive and real-time embedded application development experience. In addition, we present a four-week embedded application software training course with hands-on exercises that add step-by-step functionality using a simulator. As a result of training for actual students, we obtained 83.3 points of learning achievement score and proved that the curriculum has a significant effect on embedded application learning.
