  • 본 논문에서는 한글, 숫자, 영문자, 기호 통이 혼용된 컬러용 품지 또는 A4지 처방전을 자동으로 인식하는 시스템을 설계하는 방법을 제안한다. 이를 구현하기 위해 먼저 처방전을 스캐너를 이용하여 스캔하고 컬러 정보를 이용하여 회전된 처방전을 보정한 다음 처방전의 종류를 결정한다. 그리고, 문자의 형태학적 특징에 따라 한글과 그 외의 문자(비한글)를 구분한다. 그리고, 구분된 비한글의 경우는 다양할 특징 벡터를 이용한 가중 페널티 방법을 이용하여 인식한다

  • 본 연구에서는 실시간으로 얼굴을 인식, 검증하기 위한 전처리 단계로써 얼굴을 고속으로 추출하고 추출된 영상을 개선하기 위한 효율적인 기법들을 소개한다. 먼저 RGB로 획득되는 영상을 인간의 시각 구조와 유사한 HSI 컬러 모델로 변환하고 여기서 인간의 피부 영역에 해당하는 컬러 분포를 조사하여 대강의 얼굴 영역을 찾고 이 영역을 대상으로 두 개의 가변 템플릿과의 상관도(Correlation)를 이용하여 최적의 얼굴 안면을 찾는다. 보다 나은 얼굴 인식을 위하여 검출된 얼굴 안면 이미지에서 조명 평면(Illumination plane) 이미지를 추출하여 먼저 불균일성을 보정한 다음 평활화(Equalization)를 수행함으로써 영상을 개선한다.

  • 컬러영상은 디스플레이 장치의 색 특성에 따라 색이 다르게 나타나며 또한 프린터로 출력된 인쇄물의 컬러 또한 장치의 특성과 잉크의 재질에 따라 색이 다르게 출력된다. 이에 장치 독립적인 색을 재현하고자 ICC (International Color Consortium )에서는 영상 입출력 장치들 간의 장치 독립적인 색을 표현하기 위한 ICC 프로파일을 제시하였으며, 현재 많은 색 보정 프로그램들이 이것을 따른다. 이로 인해 현재 출시되는 입출력 장치들은 ICC 프로파일을 기본으로 제공하고 있으나. 현재 배포되는 ICC 프로파일이 담고있는 정보를 바탕으로 IC 프로파일들의 문제점을 알아보고자 ICC 프로파일을 해독하는 프로그램을 제작하여 일반적으로 많이 사용되는 디스플레이 장치들의 프로파일을 읽어 데이터를 비교ㆍ분석하였다.   • LCD 디바이스는 그 동작원리와 전기-광학적 특성에 의해 CRT와는 다른 감마곡선 특성을 갖고 있다. 대부분의 LCD디스플레이 디바이스들의 감마곡선은 CRT와는 달리 일관성을 갖지 않을 뿐 더러 흑백계조입력을 기준으로 하는 감마보정을 위해 RED, GREEN, BLUE 입력값을 세부적으로 조정할 때 각 계조입력에 대한 상관색온도가 일정한 값을 갖지 않아 LCD의 특성에 대한 모델링과 보정에 어려움이 있다. 또한, 애플사의 맥머신 그리고 실리콘 그래픽스사의 시스템과 같이 소정의 감마값을 전제로 해당 시스템의 내부참조테이블(internal look-up table)이 설계되어 각기 다른 시스템감마를 가지는 장치들에 의해 인코딩되어진 영상출력신호의 경우, 동일한 시스템을 갖추거나 시스템감마에 대한 역감마특성을 가진 디스플레이장치가 아닌 환경에서는 원본영상에 대한 왜곡은 더욱 커질 수 있다. 특히, 낮은 흑백계조입력에서의 색온도의 경우, 파장에 따라 서로 다른 감쇄성능을 가진 일반적인 컬러필터의 특성에 의한 누설광(light leakage)에 의해 결정되며, 이로 인해 색온도가 특정한 객을 띄는 현상이 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 LCD디스플레이의 감마곡선을 여러 가지 시스템감마에 대응할 수 있는 감마곡선예 일치시키고, 계조선형성을 동시에 개선하기 위하여 입력 디지털값과 삼자극치간 관계를 나타내는 여러 가지 컬러모델링 방법 중에서 PLCC(Piecewise Linear Interpolation assuming Constant Chromaticity coordinates)모델을 적용하고, 목표로 하는 감마곡선과 색온도를 만족하기 위한 새로운 입력값을 구한 후 이를 컬러참조테이블(color look-up table)예 적용하는 방법과 저계조에서의 색온도를 목표색온도에 근접시키는 방법을 제안한다.

  • In the field of image processing to track the fingertip much research has been done. The most common way to calculate the fingertip first, to extract color information. Then, it uses Blob Coloring algorithms which are expressed in blob functions the skin contour and calculates. The algorithm from contour decides the highest location with the fingertip. But this method when measuring it location from the finger condition which bents is not the actual fingertip and has the problem which detects the location which goes wrong. This paper proposes the color space correction algorithm to tracks the fingertip which bents. The method which proposes when tracking the fingertip from the finger condition which bents solves the problem which measures the location which goes wrong. Aim of this paper in compliance with the propensity of the users forecasts a problem in advance and corrects with improvement at the time of height boil an efficiency. Ultimately, this paper suggests empirical application to verify the adequacy and the validity with the proposed method. Accordingly, the satisfaction and the quality of services will be improved the image recognition.

A Robust Depth Map Upsampling Against Camera Calibration Errors (카메라 보정 오류에 강건한 깊이맵 업샘플링 기술)

  • Recently, fusion camera systems that consist of depth sensors and color cameras have been widely developed with the advent of a new type of sensor, time-of-flight (TOF) depth sensor. The physical limitation of depth sensors usually generates low resolution images compared to corresponding color images. Therefore, the pre-processing module, such as camera calibration, three dimensional warping, and hole filling, is necessary to generate the high resolution depth map that is placed in the image plane of the color image. However, the result of the pre-processing step is usually inaccurate due to errors from the camera calibration and the depth measurement. Therefore, in this paper, we present a depth map upsampling method robust these errors. First, the confidence of the measured depth value is estimated by the interrelation between the color image and the pre-upsampled depth map. Then, the detailed depth map can be generated by the modified kernel regression method which exclude depth values having low confidence. Our proposed algorithm guarantees the high quality result in the presence of the camera calibration errors. Experimental comparison with other data fusion techniques shows the superiority of our proposed method.

Color Image Retrieval from Database Using Graph Representation (그래프 표현을 이용한 컬러 영상 데이터베이스 검색기법)

  • In this paper, an effective color image retrieval algorithm is proposed based on the graph representation. Also we propose a color constancy algorithm to remove the effect of illumination change. Illumination condition of an image can be transformed to that of reference image using the proposed color constancy algorithm, so that the effect of dirrerent lighting is significantly alleviated. Then, we represent a color image as a graph with several nodes and edges in the histogram space, and finally two images are matched by compared two graphs representing them. The simulation results show that the proposed 3-step algorithm performs well for various conditions, including different lighting, translation, rotation, and scaling of the object in the image. In addition, the proposed algorithm is very fast compared to the geometry-based matching technique.

  • In the modern 21st century society, the personal image is considered to be very important. As a result, the importance of presenting one's personal image through personal color in fashion and beauty related fields are increasing, and is the most realistic and practical field of color. When the color of the wardrobe and the skin color are in disharmony, that disharmony becomes the source of the lines and wrinkles that appear on one's face, resulting in shades. The boundary that is created when the color of the wardrobe and the skin color are in disharmony, it works negatively on one's image. When color arrangements are close or similar (in harmony) or are in complementary color arrangements or in strong contrasting state (contrasting harmony), it is generally believed to be beautifully harmonious. Personal color assessment is finding colors, through systematic and scientific methods, that improve the personal image by reaching harmony with skin colors that each and every individual are uniquely born with. In this study, one was able to learn the improved visual effects of the face image through creating harmony with the wardrobe and color shade make up and complementary colors that were selected based on personal colors. The base make up, through using the contrasting effects of the complementary colors which represents the supplementing, correcting, and complementing of the face image by contrasting with complementary colors, brings positive changes through correcting the base skin color. It is believed that this study finds its importance in that the improved image that is created by the overall harmony of the wardrobe and body can be used as valuable data in marketing and new product development efforts in the related industries.

Color Correction Using Back Propagation Neural Network in Film Scanner (필름 스캐너에서 역전파 신경회로망을 이용한 색 보정)

  • A film scanner is one of the input devices for ac acquiring high resolution and high qualify of digital images from the existing optical film. Recently the demand of film scanners have risen for experts of image printing and editing fields. However, due to the nonlinear characteristic of light source and sensor, colors of the original film image do not correspond to the colors of the scanned image. Therefore color correction for the scanned digital image is essential in film scanner. In this paper, neural network method is applied for the color correction to CIE L/sup *//a/sup *//b/sup */ color model data converted from RGB color model data. Also a film scanner hardware with 12 bit color resolution for each R, G, B and 2400 dpi is implemented by using the TMS320C32 DSP chip and high resolution line sensor. An experimental result shows that the average color correction rate is 79.8%, which is an improvement of 43.5% than our previous method, polygonal regression method.

Real-Time Face Detection, Tracking and Tilted Face Image Correction System Using Multi-Color Model and Face Feature (복합 칼라모델과 얼굴 특징자를 이용한 실시간 얼굴 검출 추적과 기울어진 얼굴보정 시스템)

  • In this paper, we propose a real-time face detection, tracking and tilted face image correction system using multi-color model and face feature information. In the proposed system, we detect face candidate using YCbCr and YIQ color model. And also, we detect face using vertical and horizontal projection method and track people's face using Hausdorff matching method. And also, we correct tilted face with the correction of tilted eye features. The experiments have been performed for 110 test images and shows good performance. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm robust to detection and tracking of face at real-time with the change of exterior condition and recognition of tilted face. Accordingly face detection and tilted face correction rate displayed 92.27% and 92.70% respectively and proposed algorithm shows 90.0% successive recognition rate.
