Linkage Base of Geo-based Processing Service and Open PaaS Cloud (오픈소스 PaaS 클라우드와 공간정보 처리서비스 연계 기초)

  • The awareness and demand for technological elements in the field of cloud computing and their application models have increased. Cloud-based service information systems are being expanded for use in many applications. Advancements in information technology are directly related to spatial information. PaaS is an important platform for implementing a substantial cloud ecosystem to develop geo-based application services. For this reason, it is necessary to analyze the PaaS cloud technology prior to the development of SaaS. The PaaS cloud supports sharing of related extensions, database operations and management, and application development and deployment. The development of geo-spatial information systems or services based on PaaS in ranging the domestic and overseas range is in the initial stages of both research and application. In this study, state-of-the-art cloud computing is reviewed and a conceptual design for geo-based applications is presented. The proposed model is based on container methods, which are the core elements of PaaS cloud technology based on open source. It is thought that these technologies contribute to the applicability and scalability of the geo-spatial information industry that addresses cloud computing. It is expected that the results of this study will provide a technological base for practical service implementation and experimentation for geo-based applications.

  • Companies are facing challenges to have high competitiveness because of continuous oil price rising and CO2 emissions regulations. Thus, companies are trying hard to construct effective logistics and operation system to achieve high customer service quality and saving cost. Also the ec-friendly idustrial complex is needed. Busan is in process to construct GILC(Global Industry Logistics City) in west Busan province to achieve high competitiveness and support lack of industrial complex. To construct this kind of logistics industrial complex, it needs logistics system through proper policy and freight transportation co-operation. Especially, efficient management through logistics hierarchy construction in industrial complex is very important for low cost and eco-friendly point of view. Therefore, this paper aims to analyze logistics system and suggest operation model to present logistics complex construction base data.

  • In the process of vaccine delivery and vaccination, temperature is mostly controlled by an insulated containers containing ice. Moreover, amount of wasted vaccine is significant because the temperature of the vaccine is not properly controlled. A core challenge of vaccination is temperature data monitoring, since it is critical for managing and operating strategical vaccination by health organizations. In this research, a real-time monitoring vaccine carrier system was developed. Temperature, location, and power consumption data of the vaccine carrier were monitored and working performances of the vaccine carrier were tested in both Korea and Tanzania (Arusha and Kilimanjaro regions). For both places, Short Message Service (SMS) communication method was used to send information of the carrier's status. As a result, the monitoring system was able to transmit and receive real-time data of the vaccine carrier status while the vaccine carrier was tested. The vaccine status data can be accessed from any location through the cloud server and web-based user interface.

  • This paper provides a method to implement IT system for supply chain management problem The fundamental scheduling issues that arise in the pickup delivery system are optimizing the system with the minimum cost, the maximum throughput and the service level. This study is concerned with the development of the customer responsive pickup-delivery system based on e-logistics and demand chain management. Through this study, the pickup-delivery problem of the vehicle using the GIS PDP and GUI- type computer programs are formulated. The computational results show that the proposed method is very effective on a set of test problems.

  • The cargo of ships and offshore structures is the number of oil of combustibility and volatile, oil processing cargo. Furthermore heavy cargo of the vehicle or container box or bulk cargo are occupied the remainder of cargo. In addition, there is a possibility to move the location of the cargo and the vessel because it is received periodic / non-periodic a load of wave and ocean current. Therefore a shipboard hazard is much greater than onshore industry hazard. Monitoring and preparation for safety are necessary things because there is always risk of accidents arise from the impact of the freight and cargo of ships and offshore structures. In this study, we conducted a study with respect to the introduction of the wireless sensor network monitoring system to ensure the safety of the crew and workers on shipboard.

The Relationship between Capital Composition and Market Share in the Global Shipping Market (글로벌 해운시장에서 기업의 자본구조와 시장점유율의 관계)

  • This study is to define the relationship between capital structure and the market share in the global shipping market, estimating the debt-equity ratio. To analyze the impact of the debt-equity ratio on market share, this study collected data from the 100 largest shipping companies from 2010 to 2017. Results identified that global shipping lines moderate their debt-equity rates to 62%, and all of them strategically utilize debt in order to increase market share in global shipping market. In comparison between the group focused on cargo volume and another group focused on freight rates, it is found that the group focused on cargo volume increase their handling cargo volume through increasing the debt rates. Another group used debt rate for reducing the freight rate and enhancing market power. Furthermore, after classifying the samples into high-growth and low-growth companies, this study compared the group focused on cargo volume and another group focused on freight rates. As a result, the low-growth group showed more significant impacts of the debt rate on market share than the high-growth group. The results of this study provide useful insight for future strategic decision making of shipping lines in the global shipping market.

Design and Implementation of a Java-Based WAP Transaction Layer with Priority Policy (자바기반 WAP 상의 우선순위 트랜잭션 계층의 설계 및 구현)

  • As the Internet and wireless mobile communication is being widespread, the WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) that merges these two technologies has emerged. Also, the research of the WAP gateway that enables efficient processing of multiple user demands concurrently and prompt response to requests from various wireless devices has been performed in many working groups. The WAP stack is the most fundamental technology among these researches. In this paper, we implement the WAP container utilizing the JAVA's multithreading and applying to the connection pooling technique to manage the available resource in the container efficiently. Also, we design and implement the WTP(Wireless Transaction Protocol) layer and the UDP(User Datagram Protocol) layer based on the priority Policy. Our design and implementation showed the shorter waiting time than that of the existing FCFS(First-Come, First-Served) system in the transaction layer and its efficiency was proved through simulation.

Optimal Mixed Storage Methods Considering Rehandles of Inventories (재취급을 고려한 최적 혼적결정법)

  • In order to decrease the number of handles, speed up retrieval operations, and manage products efficiently, the investment of facilities such as the installation of the storage equipment and the enlargement of the storage area may be attempted. However, the same objectives can be accomplished by utilizing the existing storage area efficiently. In many types of storage facilities, because of the limitation of storage areas, products are usually piled up, which may cause rehandles of inventories. Rehandles influence significantly the handling efficiency of warehouses. This study develops methods for minimizing rehandles of inventories to improve the operational efficiency of warehouses. A mixed storage problem is addressed for minimizing the expected number of rehandles. Optimization models are proposed and the genetic algorithm is applied to solve the problem.

TPMS Interference Suppression Based on Beamforming (Beamforming을 이용한 TPMS 간섭제거)

  • The TPMS(Tire Pressure Monitoring System) is an electronic system designed to display the air pressure inside the pneumatic tires and report real-time tire-pressure information to the driver of the vehicle, either via a gange, a pictogram display, or a simple low-pressure warning light. Although the data measured by TPMS sensor is transmitted to internal signal processer in a vehicle through wireless communication, the receiver may suffers from various interferences such as amateur radio station, RFID(Radio-Frequency IDentification) for controlling container, RKE(Remote Keyless Entry) signal, and so on. In this paper, we consider beamforming technology to suppress various high-power interference signals for the TPMS wireless communications. Also, we propose the proper data structure and antenna arrangement for the beamformer inside the vehicle. The performance for the interference suppression is illustrated by computer simulation example.
