  • BLDC 전동기는 선형적인 토크 대 전류, 속도 대 전압 특성을 갖고 있으며 기계적, 전기적인 잡음이 없고, 가감속 제어가 용이하며, 토크 대 관성의 비가 매우 높아 소형으로 높은 출력을 낼 수 있다는 장점을 가지고 있다. 그러나 전기자 전류의 전환(Commutation)시 고정자 권선의 인덕턴스 성분과 역기전력으로 인해 발생되는 전류 리플은 BLDC 전동기 토크리플의 중요한 원인이 된다. 이에 본 논문에서는 고속 연산이 가능하고 별도의 외부 메모리 없이 칩 하나로 모든 동작을 할 수 있는 TMS320LF2407 DSP칩을 사용, Hard-chopping PWM 방식을 이용하여 전류 리플을 감소시켰으며, 이를 시뮬레이션 및 실험을 통해 증명하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 ARM922T Core와 주변장치를 설계할 수 있는 100만 게이트의 FPGA를 내장한 알데라(Altera)사의 엑스칼리버(Excalibur)를 이용하여 DC모터 제어용 SoC를 설계하였다. SoC란 System on Chip의 약자로 하나의 칩 안에 프로세서와 다양한 목적의 주변장치들을 집적하는 것을 말한다. 모터를 구동하기 위한 PWM신호 생성기를 하드웨어 설계언어(Hardware Description Language)로 구현하고 시뮬레이션을 통해 설계모듈을 검증하였다. 이렇게 검증한 PWM 생성기 모듈과 ARM922T Core를 합성하여 SoC를 설계하였다. PWM 생성기 모들을 구성하는 내부의 각 분분을 VerilogHDL로 코딩하여 심볼로 만들어 통합하는 방식으로 설계를 하였으며 실제 모터를 구동하기 위해서 프로세서가 동작할 수 있도록 C언어로 프로그램하여 함께 칩에 다운로드하여 테스트를 하였다. SoC를 기반으로한 시스템 설계의 장점은 시스템이 간단해지고 고속의 동작이 가능하며 회로의 검증 및 다양한 시뮬레이션이 용이하다는데 있다.

Design of MAC Chip for AWG-based WDM-PON-II: MAC Protocol (AWG 기반의 WDM-PON을 위한 MAC 칩 설계-II: MAC 프로토콜)

  • In this paper, we design and verify the MAC chip of the two-stage AWG-based WDM-PON which considers 128 ONUs and 32 wavelengths. Each wavelength with the capacity of 1Gbps is allocated to ONU for downstream transmission but each wavelength for upstream transmission can be shared by four ONUs. Therefore, MAC protocol is required to avoid the collision and use the network resource efficiently among ONUs which are sharing the same wavelength. To design a request/permit-based MAC protocol, we define a unit-chip module called sub-MAC. The WDM-PON with 128 ONUs can be implemented by using 32 sub-MAC modules. The sub-MAC consists of one control unit, one receipt unit and four transmission units. The state transition diagram of the module is described by the internal/external control signals among the functional units. The function of the sub-MAC module is verified through logic simulation using ModelSIM.

  • In this paper, we design Input/Output modules as a preference work for implementation of hybrid two stage AWG based WDM-PON and verify operations of each function modules through the logic simulation. This WDM-PON system provides service to 128 ONUs through 32 wavelength and one wavelength is shared for upstream transmission with four ONU while each wavelength is allocated to each ONU for downstream transmission. The designed WDM-PON MAC chip is based on sub-MAC which consists of one control unit and reception unit and four transmission unit. To design the reception and transmission unit of sub-MAC, we define the functions of the sub-MAC, pins of the modules, control signal and timing of each signal. We intend to design MAC chip with 1Gbps transmission rate. Thus the designed MAC chip is worked on 125MHz clock rate. We define FSM and design Input/Output modules with VHDL. The logic simulation of the modules is executed by the ModelSIM simulator.

  • In this paper, an active antenna module operating in the 60 GHz band is designed and fabricated by combining a commercial transmitter chip and patch array antenna. The designed module is composed of an antenna PCB and a PCB with a transmitter chip. The frequency-control and bias-control signals are applied to the transmitter chip, using an Arduino kit. A baseband I/Q signal is also applied to the chip. A ring hybrid balun converts the output of the transmitter module to a single output, which is the output of the transmitter chip that outputs a differential output. The output is delivered to the $2{\times}4$ microstrip patch array antenna PCB as a micro-computer connector. The radiation pattern of the millimeter-wave signal of the final output is compared with the simulation results. The measured radiation patterns of the fabricated active antenna module confirm that the positions of the 3 dB beam width and null point agree well with the simulation results.

A Study on the Design of Small SMT Platform for Education (교육용 소형 SMT 플랫폼 설계에 관한 연구)

  • This paper designed and manufactured a chip mounter based on 3D printer technology that can be used for educational research or sample production to disseminate chip mounter, a core technology of SMT line. A stepper motor with open loop control is used for low cost drive design. The shortcomings of the motor's vibration and disassembly caused by the use of the step motor were compensated by the Micro-Step control method. In the chip mounter experiment, the gerber file was generated on the small chip mounter, printed at the actual size, and the solder cream was printed on the HASL-treated PCB in the same manner as the sample board fabrication. As a result of the experiment, unlike the 2012 micro components, parts such as SOIC and TQFP that require correction are twice as long as the component mounting time, but it can be confirmed that they are mounted relatively accurately. In addition, as a result of repeatedly measuring the error of the initial position 10 times, it was confirmed that a relatively small error of about 0.110mm occurs.

  • A major problem in automation of turning operations is the difficulty in obtaining a sufficient and reliable chip control. The chip should be detected in order to provide a optimum chip control for unmanned turning operation. Using the difference of energy radiated from the chip, chip Patterns are estimated using pyrometer. From the initial output from the pyrometer, chips are identified according to the backpropagation algorithm developed in the research. The learning system developed in this work can be applied in real-time control of turning process with minor modification in drive system.

  • This paper presents a design of macro-micro system for high-speed mounting of micro-chips. A macro motion device is driven by DC servomotor and ball screw mechanism. To obtain fast response, a micro motion device utilizes a precision elector magnetic actuator In order to reduce peak impact force, We evaluate the design parameters that have an effect on it. And a characteristic of response is simulated using PID controller in velocity and force control.

  • 본 논문은 Pyroelectric Sensor의 신호를 입력으로 받아 Stepping Motor 제어신호를 출력하는 Controller를 VHDL을 이용하여 ALTERA사의 EPM7128SLC84-7 CPLD칩으로 구현하여 자동문을 제작하였다. 동작은 센서부에서 사람을 감지하여 출력한 신호를 CPLD에서 받아들여 Stepping Motor구동부 회로의 제어신호로 사용하여 문을 동작시켰다.
