A Study on Section Properties of Partially Concrete-Filled New Type Composite Beam (부분매입형 신형상 합성보의 단면성능에 관한 연구)

  • The demand for the structural system of reduction of story height increases because buildings are getting higher. The existing structural systems are not efficiency. Thus, it is hard to reduce the story height and existing methods cannot secure economics as expected. This study aims at developing the partially concrete-filled new type composite beam, which can efficiently resist against the end negative moment and central positive moment, also reduce deflection of beams. Through case studies on loading of concentrated load and uniformly distributed load to fixed beam, we could find the most efficient ratio of moment of inertia and the ratio ${\alpha}$(end beam length to span). The gap space between middle and end beam can be used as facilities installation, consequently the suggested Omega beam system is expected to get the effect of reduction in story height as well as reduction of quantity.

  • Flame detectors has been used more than heat & smoke detector, because this is more effective to catch fire and ceiling height in spite of high price. For upgrade to flame detector, Compare to national or abroad standard about performance test, sensitivity test, sectioning indoor or outdoor, after service and management. As a result, Europe and America have only sensitivity test, no have not operation test and sectioning indoor & outdoor. In performance test, action is put to focus to credit and durability, Not operation test is to be able to tune the sensitivity to match the environment of the site. Also, we need code about aftercare, quality assurance responsibility and implement special detector institution by Certificate Authority implement.

  • Asymmetric Slimfloor Beam (ASB) is a composite beam developed in Europe whose asymmetric H beam is partially inserted in concrete slab. Recently in Korea, Asymmetric Slimfloor Beam has been studied in order to save the story height of a building, reduce the amount of construction materials and increase the fire resistance of a building. On this study, the fire resistance of Asymmetric Slimfloor Beam was checked by a fire test and moment capacity was calculated at fire resistance time by a heat-transfer analysis. Using the analysis result, 3-hour fire resistance constructions consisted of fireproof gypsum boards and ASB were selected and fire resistances of selected constructions were checked.

  • 본 논문에서는 고유진동수 조절이 가능한 새로운 형태의 액체댐퍼를 개발하였다. 동조댐퍼는 구조물의 설계단계에서 응답평가를 통해 필요성이 요구된다. 건물은 설계단계에서 고유진동수와 시공 후 고유진동수가 상이하다. 액체댐퍼의 형태는 설계단계에서 건물의 고유진동수를 동조시킬 수 있도록 설계되기 때문에 고유진동수가 고정이 될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 제안한 댐퍼의 전체적인 형태는 기존의 Liquid Column Vibration Absorber(LCVA)와 같다. 기존의 LCVA는 시공 후 건물의 고유진동수에 동조시키기 위해 물높이를 조절하나 층고 때문에 제한이 있다. 우리가 제안한 새로운 형태의 액체댐퍼는 물높이 조절 뿐 아니라 수직관의 면적을 조절하여 고유진동수를 조절 할 수 있도록 개발하였다. LCVA의 수직관을 일정한 면적의 독립된 셀로 나누었으며 이 셀을 각각 밀폐시킬 수 있도록 하였다. 밀폐된 셀 안으로는 공기압력에 의해 물이 차지 않고 차 있는 물도 움직이지 않게 된다. 밀폐된 셀의 개수를 조정하여 수직관의 면적이 조절하여 고유진동수를 변화시킬 수 있다. 제작된 액체댐퍼의 밀폐된 셀 개수를 조절하여 진동대 실험을 통해 댐퍼의 고유진동수를 파악하였다. 실험으로 나온 고유진동수와 이론적으로 산정한 고유진동수를 비교하여 댐퍼의 사용성을 평가하였다. 개발된 액체 댐퍼의 수직관의 면적 조절을 통해 고유진동수 조절이 용이하여 실제로 사용이 가능함을 확인할 수 있었다.

A Study on Optimum Section of New Type Steel-Concrete Composite Beam (신형상 층고절감형 합성보의 최적단면 도출에 관한 연구)

  • This study investigates the optimum section properties of newly developed steel-concrete composite beam. For that purpose we developed computer program calculating section properties. The suggested new beam section highly contribute to save inter-story height and reduce construction duration and cost compared with conventional steel works such as H-beam and column + RC slab system. But the section shape have different section modulus with upper and lower fiber because of the unsymmetric cross section. Therefore the parametric study on thickness-ratio of top and bottom flange plate is needed. In this paper the change of neutral axis and section modulus for thickness-ratio of up and down flage plate is analysed and discussed.

  • The composite beam adopted in the study was designed to reduce the floor height as well as to embed the top flange of steel frame into the slab that will enable to avoid applying the fire-resistant coating and to unify the joint method with a steel frame-type. As the steel frame and bottom concrete of the beam is pre-fabricated at the factory it could reduce the overall schedule at the jobsite. Applying such composite beam system to the work is expected to provide the efficient and enhanced performance, given the current tendency of the building construction that tends to be getting higher, larger and dense. The study focused on combining the composite beam with various column systems in a bid to propose the details thereof. A desirable composite girder can be adopted depending on site conditions through the evaluation of various beam and jointing approaches. Among the column systems applied to the study are steel column, SRC column, RC-PC column and RC column. The ways of combining with the columns addressed in the study were categorized into the rigid joint, pin joint, steel frame joint and bracket type joint. Besides, the instruction for site fabrication of beam-column was added in an effort to help set up the site fabrication procedures.

  • This study is aimed to present a direction of urban development around regional private university site through the case-study in Joongbu university. Regional private university is in the face of a difficult problem for expansion of campus because of increasing of students and a lot of non-planned development in the circumstance of university site. Therefore we need an planned-development for expansion of university campus. This study abstracted of a direction for development by analyzing the land-use behavior around Joongbu university site.

Development and Application of Lattice Shear Reinforcement for Flat Plate Slab-column Connection (래티스를 이용한 철근콘크리트 무량판 구조의 슬래브-기둥 접합부 전단보강 공법 개발)

  • Although the flat plate system is an efficient structural type due to the simplicity of its construction, the low story height, and the various plan design, the slab-column connections are vulnerable to punching shear failure from gravity load and eccentric shear failure from lateral load. To prevent the structure collapse, various construction methods of slab-column connection reinforcement are developed but none of these satisfies all of structural performance, economics, and constructability. This paper presents the reinforcement of slab-column connection with lattice bars. The structural performance is confirmed with the interior slab-column connection tests subjected to cyclic loading, and the economic feasibility is demonstrated from the structural design under the same condition with lattice bars, stud rails, and stirrups.

Behavior Characteristics of U-Shape Wide Composite Beam (U자형 와이드 합성보의 거동특성)

  • A parking structure has been on the spotlight to solve the parking problem in downtown area. However, the overall height of parking structure is stipulated less than 8m. Therefore, in this research, the flexural and shear capacity of 'wide composite beam' which can reduce story height and have long span, is evaluated. Based on test result, the rebar in truss did not affect its flexural strength. However, in the case of the specimen without the rebar, the mechanical bond strength decreased due to slip occurrence at 70% of the flexural yield strength. Based on the test of shear-bond behavior, all specimen without shear connector should be reinforced with 2 or more flat bar, because it did not have enough shear bond strength resisted by the mechanical bond mechanism.

Punching Shear Strength of CFT Column to RC Flat Plate Connections Reinforced with Shearhead (전단머리 보강 CFT기둥-RC 무량판 접합부의 펀칭전단강도)

  • This paper summarizes full-scale gravity-load test results on CFT column-to-RC flat plate connections reinforced with shearhead. CFT construction has many structural and constructional advantages over conventional steel and RC column construction and is gaining wide acceptance. Meanwhile the use of RC flat plate system in the basement and residential floors of tall buildings is often mandatory to reduce story height and enable rapid construction in domestic practice. Combining CFT column and flat plate floor is expected to result in further rapid construction. However, the issues related to connecting CFT column to RC flat plate have not been fully addressed yet. Several promising connecting schemes by using steel shearhead were proposed and tested in this study. Test results showed that the proposed connection can exhibit the punching shear strength higher than RC flat plate counterparts. An empirical formula that can reasonably predicts the punching shear strength of the proposed connection was also proposed.
