A Study of Precise Indoor Positioning Algorithm For Energy Efficiency Based on BLE Finger Printing (에너지 효율을 고려한 BLE 핑거프린팅 기반의 정밀 실내 측위 알고리즘 연구)

  • 최근 스마트 기기의 활용 요구 증가로 인한 실내 위치 인식 시스템 수요가 급증함에 따라, BLE(Bluetooth Low Energy) 비콘을 이용한 실내 측위 시스템이 각광받고 있다. 본 논문은 BLE 비콘 기반에 중심을 두고 RSSI 신호를 이용하여 거시적인 삼변 측량 기법을 이용하여 산출한다. 그 결과값을 근사치 위치에만 Fingerprinting을 적용하여 위치 측위 기본 연산량을 줄임과 동시에 에너지 효율을 증대시킨다. 또한 선정된 Fingerprinting Cell 주위의 노드만을 이용하여 사용자의 단말 위치의 정밀성을 보장하는 정밀 삼변 측량 연산을 수행하여 에너지 효율을 고려한 BLE 핑거프린팅 기반의 정밀 실내 측위 알고리즘을 제안한다.

Performance Evaluation of SDS-TWR Ranging Algorithms for CPS Based on Accurate Wireless Localization (정밀한 무선측위 기반 CPS를 위한 SDS-TWR 거리측정 기법의 성능 평가)

  • Range-based real time localization systems require superior localization techniques as well as accurate ranging algorithms for better performance. To evaluate the ranging accuracy between two nodes in practical environments, this paper does not only present a qualitative analysis by computing a distance equation under SDS-TWR measurement model of no symmetry assumption, but also executes a quantitative evaluation by doing experiments after building up a test network employing the developed sensor node. Experimental results show that the ranging accuracy of the proposed implementation of IEEE 802.15.4a software stack is superior with smaller average error rate by 60% to one of the commercial Nanotron's reference development kit.

Multihop Range-Free Localization with Virtual Hole Construction in Anisotropic Sensor Networks (비등방성 센서 네트워크에서 가상 홀을 이용한 다중 홉 Range-Free 측위 알고리즘)

  • This paper presents a multihop range-free localization algorithm to estimate the physical location of a normal node with local connectivity information in anisotropic sensor networks. In the proposed algorithm, a normal node captures the detour degree of the shortest path connecting an anchor pair and itself by comparing the measured hop count and the expected hop count, and the node estimates the distances to the anchors based on the detour degree. The normal node repeats this procedure with all anchor combinations and pinpoints its location using the obtained distance estimates. The proposed algorithm requires fewer anchors and less communication overhead compared to existing range-free algorithms. We showed the superiority of the proposed algorithm over existing range-free algorithms through MATLA simulations.

  • As the amount of the wireless mobile products like a 'Smart phone' used increases, the studies about the Location Based Service (LBS) is highly increasing. Outdoor location determination can use the GPS which is built-in in the wireless mobile products. However, it is not possible to use GPS inside the huge cruise bigger than a normal building, it is regarded to consider Indoor location determination which is appropriate at the inside environment. Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) does not need an extra installation process because it is already installed here and there inside the building. In this respect, Wi-Fi has low price competitiveness compared to other wireless sensor products. In this paper, I will introduce 'Bayesian Algorithm' which can recognize useful space with Wi-Fi signal.

  • 휴대 인터넷은 이동 중에도 무선으로 고속의 데이터 송수신이 가능한 통신 서비스로서 우리나라에서는 WiBro(Wireless Broadband)라고 명명되어 2006년 6월 상용 서비스를 시작하였다. 한국 정보 통신 기술협회(TTA)와 IEEE802.16e 표준에서 제시된 휴대인터넷 서비스는 기본적으로 기지국과 단말을 기반으로 한 CDMA통신 시스템과 유사한 셀룰러 망 구조를 가지고 있다. 와이브로에서 모든 RAS(Radio Access Station)는 매 5msec마다 프레임을 전송하고, 이 프레임의 앞 단에는 Preamble이 위치하고 있어 기지국과 단말의 Synchronization을 가능케 해준다. 각 RAS는 서로 다른 Preamble을 사용하므로 단말은 Preamble detection을 통해 기지국을 구분할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 휴대인터넷을 이용한 무선측위의 해상도 및 가청성을 현장실험을 통하여 분석한다. 현재 상용화 되어 사용중인Wibro 신호를 기저대역으로 낮추고 이 신호를 디지타이저를 사용하여 20MHz의 샘플링 주파수로 수집한다. 5msec 주기의 Wibro프레임 중에서 Preamble을 Correlation detection 기법을 사용하여 기지국과 단말 사이의 relative delay를 측정하여 기지국들과 단말 사이의 거리의 차를 구한다. 거리측정치를 이용하여 Wibro 망에서의 무선측위 추정치를 구하고 해상도와 정확도 및 가청성 등의 Wibro의 측위성능을 분석한다.

  • The localization performance in the ship environment is degraded by RF interference due to steel structure characteristics and NLOS environment. In this paper, a wireless hybrid localization system using ZigBee, UWB, and LF technologies is proposed to improve position estimation accuracy in the ship environment.

  • Indoor wireless positioning system uses ranging information of beacons in order to precisely estimate a tag location. To estimate distance between each beacons and tag, the system calculates arrival time of a tag pulse with clock of each beacon including independent clock offset. This clock offset seriously affects the performance of ranging and positioning. We propose in this paper a clock offset compensation method to solve this problem. To verify the performance of the proposed method, we simulated location estimation with random clock offset between -1,000ppm and 1,000ppm, and the result shows that the proposed scheme effectively solves the clock offset problem.

  • The Ultra-Wide Band sensor is widely used as a wireless indoor localization technology with frequency bands in the GHz range. Meanwhile, in museums, not only the real-time location of visitors but also information on visit route and duration time is required for patrons' behavior analysis. In this paper, the analysis system based Ultra-Wide Band radar for visitor's viewing behavior is introduced and experimented in the real environment. We built the system in National Museum of Korea, and its 22 Ultra-Wide Band radar sensors receive the real-time location of their visitors: this analyzes the visit route and visit time for patrons.

  • In case of more than 50km baseline length, the correlation between receivers is reduced. Therefore, there are still some rooms for improvement of its positional accuracy. In this paper, the stochastic modeling of the ionospheric delay is applied and its effects are analyzed. The data processing has been performed by constructing a Kalman filter with states of positions, ambiguities, and the ionospheric delays in the double differenced mode. Considering the medium or long baseline length, both double differenced GPS phase and code observations are used as observables and LAMBDA has been applied to fix the ambiguities. The ionospheric delay is stochastically modeled by well-known 1st order Gauss-Markov process. And the correlation time and variation of 1st order Gauss-Markov process are calculated. This paper gives analyzed results of developed algorithm compared with commercial software and Bernese.

Improvement of location positioning using KNN, Local Map Classification and Bayes Filter for indoor location recognition system

  • In this paper, we propose a method that combines KNN(K-Nearest Neighbor), Local Map Classification and Bayes Filter as a way to increase the accuracy of location positioning. First, in this technique, Local Map Classification divides the actual map into several clusters, and then classifies the clusters by KNN. And posterior probability is calculated through the probability of each cluster acquired by Bayes Filter. With this posterior probability, the cluster where the robot is located is searched. For performance evaluation, the results of location positioning obtained by applying KNN, Local Map Classification, and Bayes Filter were analyzed. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that even if the RSSI signal changes, the location information is fixed to one cluster, and the accuracy of location positioning increases.
