An Economic Ripple Effect Analysis of Semantic Technology (시맨틱 기술의 경제적 파급효과 분석)

  • In order to enhance national science technology and to secure the origin of creative wealth, there is a need to offer accurate and high quality information with semantic technology. Semantic technology enables to significantly unify information and obtain the wanted information in an easier way. Also Semantic technology is a key technology of the next generation having great ripple effect on the whole of IT. In this paper, We analyze an economic ripple effects in terms of production inducement effect, added value inducement effect, import inducement effect, labor inducement effect of Semantic technology using an input-out analysis of the bank of Korea(2009). We also examine an economic propriety of Semantic technology.

The university and security organizations's developmental research (대학교 경호학과 및 경호 관련 교육단체들의 발전방안 연구)

  • The department has established a variety of studies and training courses and has tried to nurture talented people for security companies. However, the research is marginal, and each university department of security guard education, curriculum falling due after graduating students. Moreover, even if students are occupied an employment exceptional adaptability has occurred. Therefore, each university of private security department will need to collaborate with competitive private security company for reinforce and employment rate in center of experienced field. Then, the security's society will be placed in professional occupation, elevate the phase and will decrease the turnover rate. Qualification system of private security have been indicated in distrust, moreover the system have to be adjusted because not enough effort, control system, cooperation system with training center, one-sided emphasis and private inquiry by adding in private security law.

A Study on the Usefulness of NCS based Employment in Port Public Enterprise (항만공기업의 NCS 기반 채용 유용성에 관한 연구)

  • Being in the globally competitive environment, public port enterprises which accentuate on the employment of excellent talents to procure competitive advantage are introducing the NCS(National Competency Standards)-based employment system that focuses on job skills. This study mainly aims to analyze the actual status of NCS utilization among public port enterprises and its usefulness as well as performance. The appropriateness, efficiency, satisfaction, comprehensiveness and performance of the current NCS - based employment system were analyzed by using collected data from the recruiting officers and new employees as subjects. And eventually an improvement plan was suggested. The result of analysis shows that the appropriateness and satisfaction level of NCS - based employment system are generally high; while its effectiveness, applicants' recognition and acceptance level as well as performance are slightly higher. Moreover, the job capability and performance on the job of new employee selected by the NCS employment system were analyzed to be higher when the appropriateness and satisfaction level of that system is high. In order to establish NCS - based employment system, early formulation and implementation of job performance assessment system to evaluate the actual abilities and performance of job is necessary. This study suggested the NCS - based employment system is effective for public port enterprises to procure excellent talents, as well as being useful for job preparation of job seekers according to the job competencies requirement of the enterprises. Therefore, this study contributes to the proliferation of NCS - based recruitment system.

The Characteristics and Policy Implications of Co-operative Education in a Regional Public University : The Case of Central Washington University, USA (지역 대학의 장기현장실습(Co-op) 활성화를 위한 사례 분석 및 정책적 시사점 - 미국 센트럴워싱턴대학교를 사례로 -)

  • There is a growing interest in Co-operative education as an important way of university-industry collaborations for improving employment competitiveness, recruiting talented human resource, and promoting university-industry collaborations. In this study, we recognize that the paradigm of professional practice have to be changed from internship to Co-operative education. This paper examines the characteristics of Co-operative education in a regional public university through a case study of Central Washington University(CWU), USA. The results of the study and policy implications are as follows. First, the professional practice program of CWU is centered upon Co-operative education and has a high local and regional connectivity in terms of location of institutions that students work for professional practices. Second, the professional practice program of CWU has a high connectivity between majors and jobs, and is characterized by an active participation of students majoring in humanities, social sciences, arts and education. Third, the qualifications of Co-operative education are strict, but programs of Co-operative education are flexibly operated according to the characteristics of departments and colleges. We emphasize that universities in Korea need to focus upon the employment connectivity, the major connectivity, the local and regional connectivity, Therefore, when attempting to introduce Co-operative education. In addition, the management and governance of Co-operative education should be flexible.

  • Job seeking for young adults after college in South Korea is much fierce and highly competitive. Many job seekers tend to experience despair, frustration, and insecurity in such a dire social situation. This study focuses on the job seeking experiences of younger generation people by closely examining the self-introduction letters. This work pays keen attention to the narrative strategies and portrayal of the applicants' self-described activities in these forms of letters through a detailed textual and cultural analysis. In doing so, this analysis attempts to contextualize the complex structures of feeling for the part of young job seekers as well as various social factors and pressures that influence on them.

A Study on the Economic Effects of Wide-Regional Zones Port Logistic Industry (광역권 항만산업의 경제적 파급효과 분석)

  • This paper analyses the industrial structure and economic effects of wide-regional zones port logistic industry. The analysis on regional economic impacts is conducted in two ways, among which one is the analysis on the effects of final demand of the industry on regional economy and the other is the analysis on the effects of the industry's production activity with using input-output analysis. Main results of this study are as follows: first, wide-regional zones port logistic industry has lower value-added rate relative to other industries. Busan-Ulsan regional zone has relatively higher value-added rate than other regional zones. Second, the economic effects of final demand and production activity of the industry are found to be the largest in Jeolla regional zone and the lowest in Sudo regional zone.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 의류학 관련 전공에 대한 학생들의 전공 만족도에 영향을 주는 결정변인을 조사하는데 있다. 조사대상은 의류학 관련학과를 전공으로 하는 국내 2년제 및 4년제 10개 대학의 재학생으로, 총 690부의 설문자료가 최종 통계분석에 사용되었다. 분석은 Lisrel을 이용하여, 학생들의 전공 만족도의 결정 변인과 구조적 모형을 조사하였다. 그 결과, 학문적 경쟁력과 전공에 대 한 적성 및 흥미가 가장 중요한 전공 만족도의 결정 변인으로 밝혀졌으며, 기타 만족도 변인인 시설 및 장비, 취업, 학생활동 관여도, 사회적 유대감등은 전공 만족도에 직접 영향을 미치는 것이 아니라, 학교 만족도를 통해 간접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

  • Recently, the university environment has been changed faster than before. It has based on university environment and IT infrastructure. Especially, most of local university has devised development plan such as improving the image and competitive power of campus. Digital, Electronic and Mobile Campus has increased the importance as people realize that the use of technology can improve the learning process. U-Campus of latest IT Technology need a service environment of which the practical use is possible through IT analysis of the members. For example u-campus setup of mobile offers the convenience to the members. We expected thing to use much, even though actual condition investigation about IT environment of the user is insufficient. The inconvenience of mobile could not be activated to the service for proactive use. The importance became the result about u-campus service setup of a company and university center. This service environment cannot offer specific information of center members for which the service implements. In this paper, we studied about members centralized u-campus model through u-recruit, campus information mobile service on university.

Impact of Internship Evaluation Factors on the Employment Competitiveness (관광종사원의 인턴십 평가가 취업경쟁력에 미치는 영향)

  • This research is based on the circumstances of the regular employees in the industry. The purpose of this research is to help the intern employees improve the competitiveness in getting jobs. Therefore, it aims to provide basic direction on the education of intern employees. Major findings of this research may contribute to the new education system for intern employees in which the opinions of both students and industry are reflected. Additionally, we hope to help improve the competitiveness of travel industry under the rapidly changing environment. Major findings of this research are like the followings; First, evaluation factors of internship include self-discipline, positiveness, technology, the capability to conduct the given job, reports, the intensity of inquiry, knowledge, cooperation and the understanding. Second, evaluation factors of internship have positive impacts on the internship education(positiveness, the intensity of inquiry, discipline) and the decision making of job finding(discipline, positiveness, cooperation).

  • This study, as a study on building platforms for smart campus ecosystem, took an approach that reflected the needs of various stakeholders of smart campus, and focused on functions to help them strengthen their competitiveness and advance into society by focusing on the learning of the most important university student users, college life, and social connection. First, we looked at the theories related to smart campus construction through prior research, and next, through domestic and international environmental analysis and trend analysis, we designed and presented a target model for e-portfolio focusing on core competency development and support system for Industry-Academic Cooperation, and proposed the main point for continuous smart campus development model.
