전력계 운용 소프트웨어는 배터리의 충ㆍ방전을 효율적으로 관리해 3년의 임무 기간동안 위성체에 전력을 공급할 수 있도록 설계되어 있다this hot-core has a mass of 10sR1 which i:s about an order of magnitude larger those obtained by previous studies.previous studies.

  • A tip-over test of the 1/3 scale model is conducted to verify the tip-oner analysis of a dry concrete storage cask under a hypothetical accident condition. The tip-oner analysis is executed using the velocity at each point which are determined from the initial angular velocity as the initial conditions of the model just before the impact. To confirm the structural integrity of the canister of a dry concrete storage cask, the non-detective testing such as Liquid Penetrants testing and Ultrasonic Testing are conducted. The strains and tile accelerations acquired by the tip-over test are compared with those by the analysis to verify the tip-over analysis. The lid of a storage calk are plastically deformed at the impact point. Liquid

  • Previous age data were reviewed for 98 sites of Phanerozoic granitoids in the southern part of the Korean Peninsula. Subduction-related granitic magmatism has occurred in southeastern Korea since Early Permian. In the middle part of the Yeongnam massif, arc-related tonalites, trondhjemites, granodiorites, and monzonites were emplaced during Early Triassic. After Middle Triassic continental collision in central Korean Peninsula, post-collisional shoshonitic and high-K series and A-type granitoids were emplaced in the southwestern Gyeonggi massif and central Okcheon belt during Late Triassic. Early Jurassic calc-alkaline granitoids are mostly distributed in the middle part of the Yeongnam massif and Mt. Seorak area, northeastern Gyeonggi massif. On the other hand, Middle Jurassic calc-alkaline granitoids pervasively occur in the Okcheon belt and central Gyeonggi massif. This selective distribution could be attributed to the change in the position of trench, subduction angle, or the direction of subduction. Most Cretaceous and Paleogene granitoids are distributed in the Gyeongsang basin, with the latter emplaced exclusively along the eastern coastline. Outside the Gyeongsang basin, Cretaceous granitoids emplaced in relatively shallow depth occur in the Gyeonggi massif and central Okcheon belt.

  • Onshore great fires can normally be extinguished by firefighters using special firefighting equipment and its suitable method. However, offshore fires on the ships are to be extinguished by the crew without any supports from the onshore. Also, crews working on board are exposed to high risk of emergency evacuation due to the complicated structure arrangement of the ships and different accident types such as fire and ship collisions. As most of damage and loss of life in fire are associated with suffocation, shortening of evacuation time is an important factor to improve a survival rate. In this study, visibility in the accommodation area is analyzed by using the temperature and smoke flow which are obtained by the Fire Dynamic Simulator(FDS) as a Three-Dimensional Fire Analysis program to understand the survival rate of the crew upon the fire. The fire doors for most of ships are designed to close automatically when the fire alarm is activated. These automatic closing of the fire doors is a very effective system to delay the spread of flame and smoke flow for the unmanned spaces of the fire protected area. However, if the crew cannot escape within the estimated time, the crew inside the fire protected area will be damaged a lot. In this paper, the comparative analysis between the evacuations by using the fire door from the fire protected area and the suggested fire shielding structure in this study is carried out by the smoke flow rate and the temperature rise rate.

  • Purpose: In anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, preservation of the remnant original tissue might promote graft healing and be helpful in proprioception. But this procedure is difficult and causes the notch impingement. So we introduce a surgical technique that makes a transtibial femoral tunnel at 10 or 2 o'clock position with preservation of remnant tissue. Surgical approach: We tried to preserve the remnant tissue and synovium as much as possible, especially those of tibial attachment and extending to the posterior cruciate ligament (PCL), so as to have some tension and to prevent notch impingement. We set the tibial drill guide at 40~45 degrees and the intra-articular guide tip was 1 mm anterior and medial to the conventional site. The starting point of tibial guide pin was proximal to the pes anserinus and anterior to the medial collateral ligament. When the reamer approached the cortical bone of the tibial articular surface, the reamer must be advanced very carefully to minimize injury to the remnant tissue. The tibial and femoral tunnel at 10 or 2 o'clock position were made with the reamer, the diameter of which was same with that of the graft. Conclusion: We report a remnant preserving technique in ACL reconstruction that makes a transtibial femoral tunnel at 10 or 2 o'clock position

  • Fast and reliable message broadcasting is critical for safety critical applications of VANET due to the urgency and/or significance of the messages for passengers and drivers. For reliable message delivery, a mechanism for checking the reception of message at the neighboring vehicles and retransmitting it if necessary is required. Especially, in urban environments, where the traffic density tends to be high, mechanisms that minimize control message overhead such as beacon are appropriate in order to minimize the message collisions. Furthermore, broadcast delivery is especially difficult at the intersection due to the road side obstacles such buildings, and hence, a mechanism that enables effective and efficient delivery across intersections is required. In this paper, we propose a beaconless reliable and efficient broadcast approach which specifically taking into account the urban streets. The proposed approach checks the message reception of neighboring vehicles implicitly by taking into account the broadcast of message by next vehicle as the acknowledgement. When retransmissions is necessary around the intersections, vehicles located within the intersection area, where the chance of successful signal propagation toward every branch of the intersection is higher due to less signal attenuation caused by road side obstacles, are to do the retransmissions. Simulation results show that the proposed approach can provide better reliability while consume less resources than the existing approaches.

  • C-ITS(Cooperative-Intelligent Transportation System) provides services that require strict real-time such as forward collision warning, road safety service and emergency stop. WAVE(Wireless Access in Vehicular Environments), a core technology of C-ITS, is a technology designed for high-speed driving. However, in order to provide stable communication service by applying to real road environment, various performance tests of real vehicular environment are required. In the real road environment, WAVE communication performance is influenced by the surrounding environment such as moving vehicle, road shape and topography. Especially, when the vehicle is moving at high speed, the traveling position according to the speed of the vehicle, The surrounding environment changes rapidly. Such changes are factors affecting the communication performance, therefore a system and methods for analyzing them are needed. In this paper, we propose the configuration and test method of an effective performance evaluation system under high-speed driving and describe the results of analyzing the communication performance based on the data measured through the actual vehicle test.

  • The roadkill that animals die after bumping by vehicles on the roads is acting as a factor to decrease the size of various animal populations. It has also been known to be the biggest artificial causations of Vertebrata deaths not only in urban areas but also protected areas such as national parks. Nevertheless, in the national park areas which are major protected national areas for conservation of national biodiversity and ecological diversity, snake roadkills occur frequently. Up to date, related studies are rare. Therefore, in this study, we described snake roadkill patterns on the roads in six national parks between 2006 and 2015. We identified total 736 snake roadkills compromising 10 different species. Five species, Rhabdophis lateralis, Elaphe dione, Gloydius ussuriensis, Lycodon rufozonatus, Gloydius brevicaudus occupied more than 91.7% of total roadkill cases. Active forager snakes were killed by roadkills more than ambush foragers, and the snake roadkill frequency was the highest in September, a migration period and in August when the young individuals dispersed at between 100 and 799 m altitude areas. Roads where roadkills were frequent lie between forest and hydrosphere or between forest and crop field road sides. Our results could be used to identify the trend of snake roadkills on the roads in national parks, and to establish effective roadkill mitigation measures and policies.

  • To assess microbiological indoor air quality in kindergartens, concentrations of viable airborne microorganisms were seasonally determined at three kindergartens in Ulsan from April, 2002 to January, 2003. Sampling was performed with an impaction-type air sampler and three different media. The numbers of bacteria grown on Staphylococcus medium were between 84 and 4,150 MPN/m3 with an average of 827 MPN/m3, and those on standard method agar ranged from 50 to 2,636 MPN/m3 with an average of 580 MPN/m3. The bacterial concentrations were highest in summer, followed by fall, spring, and winter, and were significantly correlated with indoor temperature. Among the colonies, 45.6~61.0% were observed as Gram-positive cocci and 8.5~20.6% were Gramnegative rods. Micrococcus species were the dominant organisms. The numbers of fungi ranged from 0 to 1,888 MPN/m3(661 MPN/m3 average) based on colony counts with dichloran rose bengal chloramphenicol agar. On average, the fungal concentrations were highest in summer and lowest in winter. Penicillium species and Aspergillus species were identified from the colonies. The obtained data can be utilized as a step to set a guideline for bioaerosols in indoor environment of schools.

  • In the offshore industry, helicopters are mainly used for transportation of goods or operating personnel between offshore sites and onshore facilities. A helideck is a structure that is required for landing and take-off of helicopters on the offshore structure. There are several shapes of helidecks depending on the type of offshore structures or installation location. Among them, cantilever-type helidecks usually provide more space on the topside of offshore structures and it is safer against potential accidents like fire or explosion. In this paper, the cantilever-type helideck is selected for the research object and topology design optimization is applied for lightweight design of the helideck. A finite element model is then created from the optimal layout of truss structures of the helideck, and structural analysis is performed under various landing conditions and wind loads. Based on the analysis results, the detailed section dimensions of structural members are determined so that the maximum stress at each structure member does not exceed the allowable stress of the structural material. Also, the final optimal design shows significant decrease in the total weight of the helideck.
