Cell Searching and DoA Estimation Methods for a Mobile Relay Station with a Uniform Circular Array (원형 등간격 어레이를 갖는 이동 릴레이의 셀 탐색과 입사각 추정기법)

  • In this paper, joint methods of cell searching and Direction-of-Arrival (DoA) estimation for a mobile relay station with a uniform circular array are proposed. The proposed joint estimation method for the mobile relay station is robust even when there exist symbol timing offsets between the signals received from adjacent base stations. Also, the proposed joint estimation method can reduce computational complexity and processing time, compared with the case where cell searching and DoA estimation are performed separately. Performances of the proposed method are evaluated by computer simulation under Mobile WiMAX environment.

  • In this paper, we propose a method to improve the performance of the direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation of a speech source using a multiple signal classification (MUSIC)-based algorithm. Basically, the proposed algorithm utilizes a complex coefficient band pass filter to generate the narrow band signals for signal analysis. Also, reverberation component reduction and quadratic function-based response approximation in MUSIC spatial spectrum are utilized to improve the accuracy of DOA estimation. Experimental results show that the proposed method outperforms the well-known generalized cross-correlation (GCC)-based DOA estimation algorithm in the aspect of the estimation error and success rate, respectively.Abstract should be placed here. Direction of Arrival Estimation under Aliasing Conditions (앨리아싱 조건에서의 광대역 음향신호의 방위각 추정)

  • It is difficult to detect and to track the moving targets like tanks and diesel vehicles due to the variety of terrain and moving of targets. It is possible to be happened the aliasing conditions as the difficulty of antenna deployment in the complex environment like the battle fields. In this paper, we study the problem of detecting and tracking of moving targets which are emitting wideband signals under severe spatial aliasing conditions because of the sparse arrays. We developed a direction of arrival(DOA) estimation algorithm based on subband MUSIC(Multiple Signal Classification) method which produces high-resolution estimation. In this algorithm, the true bearings are invariant regardless of changes of frequency bands while the aliased false bearings vary. As a result, the proposed algorithm overcomes the aliasing effects and improves the localization performance in sparse passive arrays.

  • In this paper, the effect of parameter errors to the estimation of the rotor angle in sensorless operation of a permanent magnet synchronous motor is analyzed. The angle error information which is utilized to estimate the rotor position can be classified into two factors, namely, the sign factor and the gain factor. This paper particularly focuses on parameter errors reflected in the sign factor of the angle error information which causes a deviation in the angle estimation. In this paper, mathematical expressions describing the deviation of the angle estimation due to the inductance error and the resistance error in the sensorless control are derived. The validity of the expression is verified by the computer simulations and the experimental results.

  • In this paper, the adaptive chirp beamforming method is proposed to solve the bias problem in the direction-of-arrivals (DOAs) estimation of the wideband chirp signals which have an identical time-frequency parameter and are emanated from different directions. The source location bias results from the interferences impinging on the array from the other directions. The proposed method exploits the time-frequency structure of the chirp signal based on STMV (STeered Minimum Valiance) to improve the DOA estimation performance by minimizing the chirp interferences effectively. Simulation results show the DOA estimation performance achieved by the proposed method as compared to the conventional methods.

  • A trial has been made to find out a new method of calculating the survival rate of a fish Population utilizing the length composition data and the characteristics of the frequency curve of the length which usually is normal distribution curve. In this paper, a stochastic method is introduced and applied to calculate the survival rate of yellow croaker caught by Korean trawlers in the Yellow Sea and the East China Sea in 1971. The results are as follows : Mean of survival rate 0.46089 Variance 0.03073 Standard deviation 0.17529 95 percent confidence interval 0.36040-0.56138.

  • In recent days, some techniques to prevent from radar detection have been applied on aircraft system. RWR(Radar Warning Receiver) can be used for estimating the source location of the aircraft which emits radar pulse. Current existing method of localizing radar pulse emission source is using AOA(Angle Of Arrival) and most techniques are focused on finding exact AOA to find exact location. In this case, however, the exact AOA does not always result in finding exact source location while target aircraft is moving fast. In this paper, a localization method using the phase delay of the radar pulse's low frequency applies and so a scanning method for the interest area does in order to estimate exact source location by using phase delay.

한국상장기업의 자본비용 추정

  • 본 연구의 목적은 최근 자본비용 추정에 대한 신뢰성 및 정확성에 대한 비판에도 불구하고 주로 미국과 일본 등을 중심으로 기업전체를 대상으로 한 과거의 연구에서 벗어나 한국의 상장기업을 대상으로 좀 더 미시지적이고 정교한 자본비용을 추정하는 데에 있다. 1981년 이후 1994년까지 계속 상장되어온 190여개 상장업체의 재무제표를 사용하여 각 기업별 자본비용을 추정함으로써 산업별(업종별) 그리고 5대(大) 계열기업군, 6대(大)${\sim}$30대(大) 계열기업군, 기타 대기업, 그리고 중소상장기업 등 기업규모별에 따른 자본비용의 정도를 비교 분석하였다. 자본비용의 추정과정에 있어서도 가능한 한 각 개별기업의 재무제표 항목들을 자본비용의 개념에 적합하도록 재구성하고, 법인소득세율을 이익수중에 따라 차등 적용하는 등 기존의 자본비용의 추정에 관한 연구에 비해 좀 더 정교한 자본 비용의 추정을 시도하였다.

  • 현대의 전력회사들은 전력계통의 현재 운용상황을 파악하기 위하여 상태추정을 사용한다. 상태추정기는 계통 내 각 지점에서 측정된 전력이나 전압, 전류등의 데이터를 이용하여 반복연산을 수행함으로써 전력계통의 상태(voltage profile)를 추정한다. 이때, 모든 데이터는 동시에 측정이 되었다는 가정 하에 상태추정 연산에 이용되지만, 실제로 모든 데이터 측정의 동기성을 확보하는 것은 사실상 불가능하다. 최근 인공위성에 의해 동기화된 페이저 측정장치가 전력계통 운용에 사용되고 있으며 본 논문에서는 이렇게 이미 이용 가능한 페이저 측정 데이터를 상태추정에 이용하는 방법을 시도하였다. 위성에 의해 동기화된 페이저 측정데이터는 데이터 측정의 동기성 확보뿐만 아니라, 데이터의 정밀도 및 위상각의 직접적인 측정이라는 둥의 여러 가지 면에서 매우 효용성이 높은 데이터이다. 본 연구를 통해 개발된상태추정 프로그램은 IEEE 14모선 시험계통을 이용하여 그 타당성을 검증하였다.

Assumption of Shear Strength on Failed Discontinuities Due to Back Analysis (붕괴사면에서 역해석기법에 의한 활동면의 전단강도 추정)

  • 절토사면의 붕괴원인은 토질 및 지질조건, 지형, 강우, 지하수 및 지표수, 사면형상, 굴착 및 발파와 같은 인위적인 조건, 사면보호공 등과 같이 다양한 영향이 있을 수 있으나 가장 많은 영향을 주는 원인으로 토질 및 지질적인 조건이라고 할 수 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 지질조건에서 붕괴가 발생될 경우의 활동면에 대한 전단강도 추정하는 방법에 있어 역해석법에 의한 활동면의 전단강도 추정을 연구하였다 연구결과 붕괴된 사면에서 화성암은 마찰각 20$^{\circ}$~30$^{\circ}$, 점착력 0~2t/$m^2$의 범위를 가지며 퇴적암에서는 마찰각 $10^{\circ}$~17$^{\circ}$, 점착력 0~2.5t/$m^2$의 범위, 변성암에서는 마찰각 $10^{\circ}$~40$^{\circ}$, 점착력 0~4.0t/$m^2$의 범위가 우세한 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 지질구별 구분에 의하면, 절리에 의해 붕괴가 발생된 경우에는 마찰각 30$^{\circ}$~40$^{\circ}$, 점착력 0~3.5t/$m^2$, 엽리면은 마찰각 30$^{\circ}$~35$^{\circ}$, 점착력 0.5~3.0t/$m^2$, 단층면은 마찰각 11$^{\circ}$~38$^{\circ}$, 점착력 0~3.0t/$m^2$, 층리면은 마찰각 $10^{\circ}$~17$^{\circ}$, 점착력 0~2.5t/$m^2$ 정도의 범위를 갖는 것으로 나타났다.
