본 논문은 인체의 최종효과기 (예: 손)가 주어진 공간상의 목표위치를 성취하도록 새로운 동작을 다수의 기존 동작을 혼합하여 생성하는 동작혼합기법을 제시한다. 전형적인 동작혼합기법에서는 동작들을 구성하는 관절커브들에 사용자가 적절한 가중치를 주고 이들의 가중치 합을 구하여 새로운 동작의 관절커브로 삼는다. 그러나 생성될 동작이 특정 제약조건 (예: 손의 최종위치)를 만족해야 될 경우에는 사용자가 성분동작에 적절한 가중치를 부여하는 것이 쉽지 않다. 따라서 본 논문은 원하는 동작의 타입 (예: 걷기, 손 뻗기) 과 동작의 최초 및 최종상태가 주어지연, 주어진 최초 및 최종상태를 만족하는 새로운 동작을 기존동작들을 혼합하여 자동적으로 생성하는 기법을 제안한다. 이 기법은 성분동작들의 집합을 연속적이고 완만한 곡면으로 표현하고 사용자가 생성하기 원하는 동작의 최초 및 최종상태를 정하면 이 곡면상에 있으면서 주어진 최초 및 최종상태를 만족하는 특정 동작을 구하여 원하는 동작으로 삼는다.

기계학습의 분류(classification) 기술을 실제 문제에 적용하기 위해서는 카테고리(category)를 부여한 학습예제를 상당수 준비하여야 한다. 예제에 카테고리를 부여(labeling)하는 작업에는 무시할 수 없는 시간과 인력을 필요로 한다. 능동적 학습(active learning)은 동일한 수의 학습예제로 최대한의 성능을 달성하기 위하여 카테고리를 부여할 학습예제를 선별하는 전략이다. 능동적 학습은 현재까지 파악된 정보에 기반하여 분류기(classifier)를 생성하고, 생성된 분류기를 활용하여 카테고리를 부여받았을 때 가장 이득이 큰 예제들을 선정하여 사용자에게 문의하는 과정을 반복하여 수행한다. 만일 능동적 학습의 첫 학습단계에서 학습에 보다 유용한 예제들을 최초학습예제집합으로 선정한다면 같은 수의 학습예제로 더 나은 성능을 달성할 수 있을 것이다. 본 논문에서는 유사한 예제들은 동일한 카테고리에 속할 가능성이 높다는 일반적인 가정에 기반하여 예제들을 군집화(clustering)한 후, 생성된 각 군집을 대표할 수 있는 예제로 최초학습예제집합으로 구성하는 방안을 제안한다. 제안한 방안을 문서분류 문제를 대상으로 실험해 본 결과 최초학습예제들을 임의로 선정하는 방식보다 정확도가 높은 분류기를 생성할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

"시의전서(是議全書)"는 조선시대 다양한 음식의 조리법이 적혀 있는 조리서이다. 여러 음식의 조리법과 함께 각 종 식재료 및 상차림에 대한 내용들도 담겨 있어 당시 식문화를 엿볼 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 우리나라 전통음식인 비빔밥에 대한 조리법이 기록된 최초의 문헌이다. 일부 학자들은 "시의전서(是議全書)"가 비빔밥에 대해 최초로 언급된 문헌이라고 하지만 그 이전에 기록된 고문헌들 속에서 비빔밥의 기록들을 찾을 수 있다. 그러나 비빔밥에 대한 조리법이 소개된 것은 "시의전서(是議全書)"가 최초이며, 그 조리 방법이 구체적이면서 한글로 기록되었다는 점에서 그 의의가 더욱 높다고 할 수 있다.

최초의 저술가 아담은 12권을, 이브도 2권의 책을 썼음이 성서연구서에 밝혀졌다. 또 아담이 동물가죽에서 피지를 만들고 잉크와 펜을 고안해 글을 썼다는 것도 밝혔다. 아담의 첫 문자는 감탄사 '오!'와 '우!'였으며, 갓 태어난 아기의 제일성이 낙원에서 사용한 말이라는 주장도 폈다.

It is important to detect races for debugging shared-memoy parallel programs, because the races cause unintended nondeterministic program execution. Previous on-the-fly techniques to detect races can not guarantee the first race detection in nested parallel programs. Detecting the first race is important for debugging parallel programs, since the removal of the first race may make the next occurred races disappear. In this paper, we presents an on-the-fly detection technique to detect all of the first races through the reexecution of the debugged programs. We assume that the debugged parallel program may have one-way nested parallel programs. The number of reexecution is at the least the nesting depth of the program in the worst case. The space complexity is O(VT) and the time complexity to detect race in each access of access history is O(T), where V is number of shared variables and T is the maximum parallelism of the program. This efficiency of our technique in each execution is the same with the previous on-the-fly detection techniques. Therefore, this technique makes debugging parallel programs more effective and practical.

공유메모리 병렬프로그램의 오류수정에서 경합의 탐지는 중요하다. 왜냐하면 경합은 잘못된 수행 결과를 초래할 뿐만 아니라, 의도하지 않은 프로그램의 비결정적인 수행을 유발하여 오류수정을 어렵게 하기 때문이다. 특히 최초경합의 탐지는 더욱 중요하다. 그 이유는 최초경합을 제거함으로써 나머지 경합들을 방지할 수도 있기 때문이다. 기존의 수행중 경합 탐지기법들은 접근별 보고방식을 기반으로 하는데, 이 기법들은 임의 공유변수에 대한 병행 쓰레드들의 모든 접근사건들을 검사하기 위해서 접근역사라는 유일한 공유정보를 이용하므로 탐지과정에 심각한 병목현상을 유발시킨다. 그러나, 최초경합 탐지를 위한 경우 이러한 병목현상은 크게 개선될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는, 각 접근사건 검사를 위해 각 쓰레드에 공유되지 않는 독립적인 접근역사를 별개로 두고, 경합을 보고하는 시점인 쓰레드 합류시점에서만 공유되는 접근역사를 이용하도록 함으로써 병목현상을 개선하여 최초경합을 탐지할 수 있는 새로운 수행중 탐지기법을 제안한다. 그러므로 본 기법은 최초경합을 보다 효율적으로 탐지할 수 있기 때문에 수행중 경합 탐지를 더욱 효율적이고 실용적으로 할 수 있다. Abstract Detecting races is important for debugging shared-memory parallel programs, because the races lead to unintended nondeterministic executions of the programs as well as erroneous result and then make debugging programs difficult. Especially, detecting the first races is more important. The reason is that the removal of the first races can make other races disappear. Most existing on-the-fly techniques to detect the races are based on per- access reporting method incurring the serious central bottleneck, because the techniques use unique shared information called access history for checking all accesses of concurrent threads to a shared variable. Such bottleneck, however, can be improved considerably in case of detecting first races. This paper presents a new on-the-fly technique which detects the first races with reduced bottleneck through checking each accesses with private access histories and finally reporting races with shared access histories. Therefore, this technique makes on-the-fly race detection more efficient and practical.

This study examined the onset of adolescent delinquency through discrete-time survival analysis. Our analysis used data obtained from the Korean Children & Youth Panel Survey, and included 2,277 middle school students. The main analysis results are as follows. First, the hazard probability for the occurrence of delinquency was the highest at 16.6% in the second year of middle school, slightly decreased in the third year of middle school, but continued to increase as the overall grade increased. Second, adolescent psychological and emotional factors have significantly affected the onset of delinquency. Third, negative parenting methods had a significant impact on delinquency, but neglect was not significant. Fourth, having delinquent friends was an important factor affecting the status of delinquency. Fifth, among the school factors, adjustment of learning activities, adjustment of school rules, and adjustment of friendship relations influenced the status of delinquency, while the adjustment of teacher relations was not significant. As early intervention is important to prevent juvenile delinquency, education and support for establishing healthy relationships are needed.

국내 최초의 LG민자발전소에 대해 건설공사 이전인 사업추진 초창기부터 종합 준공시까지 직간접으로 6년여 동안 참여했다. 그동안 민자발전이 종합 준공되기까지의 추진경위 및 진행 현황과 발전소 주요시설에 대해 개략적인 사항을 소개하고자 하며, 후속기 건설공사 추진도 멀지않은 장래에 성공적으로 추진될 것으로 보인다.
