Best Choice in Loans Problem (대출 문제에서의 최선의 선택)

  • This paper discusses choice of loans problem(CLP) that is to minimize annual payment from which bank's borrows in multi-banks multi-nations with distinct interests. For the CLP, there is impossible to obtain the optimal solution actually without the help of mathematical software package as linear programming(LP). This paper applies the method used in transportation problem(TP) that finds initial feasible solution with selects minimum interest first, least cost method(LCM), to CLP. Result of experiment, the proposed algorithm can be obtains the optimal solution with at most two exchange optimization for LCM's initial feasible solution.

  • Balanced arrays which are generalized orthogonal arrays, introduced by Chakravarti (1956) can be used to construct the fractional factorial designs. Especially for 2-level factorials, balanced arrays with strength 4 are identical to the resolution-V fractional designs. In this paper criteria for evaluation the degree of the orthogonality of balanced arrays of 2-levels with strength 4 are developed and some application methods of the suggested criteria are discussed. As a result, in this paper, we introduce the constructing methods of near orthogonal saturated balanced resolution-V fractional 2-level factorial designs.

A Comparative Study on Surrogate Models and Sensitivity Analysis for Structure Design of Automatic Salt Collector Using Orthogonal Array Experiment (직교배열실험을 이용한 자동채염기 구조설계의 민감도해석과 대리모델 비교 연구)

  • The paper deals with comparative study of characteristics of surrogate models and sensitivity evaluation using design of experiments in order to enhance and analysis the structure design of an automatic salt collector under various design load conditions. Orthogonal array design based on numerical analysis was used for the design of experiments. The thickness sizing variables of main structure member were considered the design factors, and the output responses were selected from the strength performances as well as the weight. The quantitative effects on responses for each design factor were evaluated from the orthogonal array experiment. Optimum design case was also identified to improve the strength performances with weight minimization. Using the orthogonal array experiment. various surrogate models such as response surface model, Kriging model, and Chebyshev orthogonal polynomial were generated. The orthogonal array experiment results were validated by the surrogate modeling results. The most suitable surrogate model was the response surface model for the exploration of design space of the automatic salt collector.

  • A network design problem (NDP) formulated as a mathematical program is generally used to find an optimum value to minimize or to maximize some objectives such as total travel time, social benefit, or others. NDP has, however, some limits of describing components of travel patterns like activities and trip generation due to its modeling simplicity, and also it has difficulty in including attributes of regional planning. In order to cope with such limits, this paper extends NDP to the urban planning field and proposes a mathematical program which can describe the interactions between urban social activities and transportation planning. Based on this model the authors try to optimize both urban activities and the transportation system. The model developed in this paper is tested to assess its application with a real-size regional transportation network.

  • We examine berth allocation problems in tidal bulk ports with an objective of minimizing the demurrage and dispatch associated berthing cost. In the proposed optimization model inventory (or stock) level constraints are considered so as to satisfy the service level requirements in bulk terminals. It is shown that the mathematical programming formulation of this research provides improved schedule resolution and solution accuracy. We also show that the conventional big-M method of standard resource allocation models can be exempted in tidal bulk ports, and thus the computational efficiency can be significantly improved.

  • 인공수로 내 효율적인 물 순환 시스템 운영을 위해서는 지속적인 유량공급을 통해 순환흐름을 유도하는 것이 매우 중요하다. 따라서 수로 내 적절한 유입부 위치를 결정하고 계획 유입유량에 따른 수질개선효과 및 물 순환주기를 분석하는 연구가 대두되고 있어, 모형을 통한 이론적인 예측 및 모형실험을 통한 검증이 필요한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 농도-pH 지표곡선을 이용하여 시간에 따른 수로 내 농도변화로 물 순환주기를 분석하였다. 수로 내 설치된 유입부에 평면상 위치변화를 주어 순환흐름에 적합한 유입부 위치를 제시할 수 있었으며, 농도변화가 없어지는 시점을 통해 최소 물 순환주기를 산정할 수 있었다.

Si Deep Etching Process Study for Fine Pitch Probe Unit

  • LCD panel 검사를 위한 Probe unit은 대형 TV 및 모바일용 스마트폰을 중심으로 각광을 받고 있는 소모성 부품으로 최근 pitch의 미세패턴화가 급속히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 Slit Wafer 제작 공정을 최적화하기 위해 25 um pitch의 마스크를 설계, 제작하였다. 단공과 장공을 staggered 형태로 배열하여 25 um/25 um line/space pitch로 설계하였다. 또한 단위실험을 위해 직접 25 um pitch로 설계하여, 동일한 실험조건을 적용하여 최적 조건을 찾고자 하였다. 반응변수는 Etch rate 및 profile angle로 결정하였으며, 약 200~400 um 에칭된 slit의 상단과 하단의 폭, 그리고 식각깊이를 SEM 측정사진을 통해 정한 후 etch rate 및 profile angle을 결정하였다. 인자는 식각속도 및 wall의 각도를 결정하는 식각 및 passivation 가스의 유량, chamber 압력(etching/passivation), 식각시간 등으로 정하였으며, 이들의 최대값과 최소값 2 수준으로 실험계획을 설계하였다. 식각 조건에 따라 8회의 실험을 수행하였다. 가스의 유량은 SF6 400 sccm, C4F8 400 sccm, 식각 싸이클 시간은 5.2~10.4 sec, passivation 싸이클시간 4 sec로 하였으며, 압력은 식각시 7.5 Pa, passivation 시 10 Pa로 할 경우가 가장 sharp하게 나타났다. Coil power 와 platen power는 각각 2.6 KW, 0.14 KW로 하였으며, 최적화를 위한 인자의 값들은 이 범위에서 조절하였다. 이러한 인자의 조건 조절을 통해 etch rate는 5.6 um/min~6.4 um/min, $88.9{\sim}89.1^{\circ}$의 profile angle을 얻을 수 있었다.

A Cooperative Coevolutionary Algorithm for Optimizing Remarshaling Plan in an Automated Stacking Yard (자동화 장치장의 재정돈 계획 최적화를 위한 협력적 공진화 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, we propose optimizing a remarshaling plan in an automated stacking yard using a cooperative coevolutionary algorithm (CCEA). Remarshaling is the preparation task of rearranging the containers in such a way that the delay are minimized at the time of loading. A plan for remarshaling can be obtained by the following steps: first determining the target slots to which the individual containers are to be moved and then determining the order of movement of those containers. Where a given problem can be decomposed into some subproblems, CCEA efficiently searches subproblems for a solution. In our CCEA, the remarshaling problem is decomposed into two subproblems: one is the subproblem of determining the target slots and the other is that of determining the movement priority. Simulation experiments show that our CCEA derives a plan which is better in the efficiency of both loading and remarshaling compared to other methods which are not based on the idea of problem decomposition.

Aircraft fueling optimization model under a fueling cost differentiation (급유비용 차별하의 항공기 급유 최적화 모형)

  • Aircraft fuel cost is the largest airline expenses in airlines who play a major role in air transportation system. Airlines have been making a great effort to save fuel as much as they can. Among these efforts, the systematic fueling strategy has been taken a growing attention since it is recognized as a very cost-effective fuel management strategy. The systematic fueling strategy is the fuel saving strategy in which extra amount of fuel is loaded to utilize the fueling cost differentiation among the cities where the aircraft operate. In this paper, the aircraft fueling optimization model is proposed. The proposed model is to calculate precise amount of loaded fuel to minimize overall fuel cost assuming that the aircraft routing for all aircrafts and fueling cost in all airports where the aircraft fly are given. Compared with heuristic fueling strategy, the result of the proposed model is promising. Therefore, it is expected that the proposed model plays a major role in fuel management strategy in airline operation.
