Progress of the 2013 Interim Guidelines for Determining Minimum Propulsion Power to Maintain the Manoeuvrability of Ships in Adverse Conditions (황천 시 최소추진출력 관련 IMO 잠정 가이드라인의 진행 현황과 적용 결과 검토)

  • Literature survey was conducted on the 2013 Interim Guidelines for determining the minimum propulsion power to maintain the manoeuvrability of ships in adverse conditions. The International Maritime Organization (IMO) Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) documents related with the Guidelines were reviewed. Compatibility of the present Guidelines can be checked by two different levels: (Level 1) minimum power lines assessment and (Level 2) simplified assessment. The IHS (Information Handling Services) sea-web data on the bulk carriers and the tankers, which were built after 2000, were used to examine the Level 1 assessment. KVLCC2 was used to examine the Level 2 assessment. Regarding the Level 2 assessment, effects of the adverse weather conditions, the added resistance due to waves, the wake fractions and the thrust deduction factors were discussed.

  • 본 논문에서는 관전류 직접제어 방식을 채택한 3.2kW(80kV,40mA)급 최소형, 최경량 Portable X-선 장치를 제안한다 본 장치는 X-선 발생을 위한 고전압 발생 단에 모노탱크 블록 사용하였고, 고주파 고전압용 인버터에는 스위칭 전력소자로서 Mini block type의 MOS-FET를 채용, 80kHz로 스위칭 함으로서 고전압 변압기를 비롯한 고전압 발생부의 크기와 무게를 최소화하였다. X-ray Power의 출력이 높아짐에 따라, X-ray tube의 필라멘트 인버터의 출력용량 또한 증가되었다. 본 논문에서는 설정 관전류에 대한 정밀한 제어를 위하여 2단계 모드로 필라멘트 예열을 행하여 관전류 응답특성을 개선하였으며 제안한 휴대용 X-선 발생장치의 부하변동에 따른 X-선 관전압과 관전류의 개선된 특징을 실험파형을 통하여 입증하였다.

  • To test all internal faults in the case that the number of Primary Input is N, we need patterns that are composed of PI's of maximum 2N. In this paper, we proposed the method to reduce a search space by dividing the multiple output circuit into subcircuit that is related with output. And this method, called PBM(Partition-Based Method), can generate a set of test pattern. The method can effectively generate a test pattern for evaluating all fault of circuit, because the length of input pattern is smaller than that of full circuit and PBM doesn't search any signal line that is not concerned with detecting fault.

Design of CNN Chip with Annealing Capability (어닐링 기능을 갖는 셀룰러 신경망 칩 설계)

  • The output values of cellular neural networks would have errors because they can be stabilized at local minimums depending on the initial states of each cell. So, in this paper, we design the $6\times6$cellular neural networks with annealing capability which guarantees that the outputs reaches the global minimum to have correct output values independent of the initial states of each cell. This chip is designed using a $0.8\mu\textrm{m}$ CMOS technology The designed chip contains about 15,000 transistors and the chip size is about $2.89\times2.89\textrm{mm}^2$. The simulation results of edge extraction and hole filling using the designed circuit show that the outputs values would have errors in un-annealed case, but not in annealed case. In the simulation, the annealing time of $3\musec$ is employed.

  • 이 논문에서는 1차원 혼돈맵들 중의 하나인 톱니맵을 8비트의 유한정밀도로 이산화시켜 설계하였고, 이 이산화된 톱니맵을 사용한 혼돈 2진 순서 발생기의 회로도도 제시하였다. 설계된 혼돈맵의 실제 구현은 이산화된 진리표로부터 얻어진 출력변수의 간략화된 부울함수에 따른 입력선과 출력선들의 정확한 연결만에 의해 실현하였다. 최대길이를 발생시키는 선형궤환시프트레지스터(mLFSR)에 의해 발생되는 난수성 2진 출력 순서들을 이산화된 톱니맵의 입력순서로 사용함으로써 결과적으로 최소 8배 더 긴 주기를 갖는 혼돈 2진 순서들을 발생시켰다.

  • 본 논문은 선형모델의 모델 계수의 결정방법으로 사용되는 최소자승법 (Least Squares Method, LSM)의 단점을 해결하기 위해 해석적으로 계산된 자료를 함께 적용하는 방법과 원자로의 출력분포 측정을 위한 SAM (Shape Annealing Matrix) 결정에 적용한 결과를 기술하고 있다. 해석적 자료를 함께 적용할 경우 연료 연소에 따른 원자로 특성변화를 적절히 반영하여 LSM 추정치의 정확도를 크게 개선할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • The discretized saw-tooth map with the 16-bit finite precision which is one of the 1-dimensional chaotic maps is designed, and the circuit of chaotic binary sequence generator using the discretized saw-tooth map is presented also in this brief. The real implementation of designed chaotic map is accomplished by connecting the input and output lines exactly according to the simplified Boolean functions of output variables obtained from truth table which is discretized. The random binary output sequences generated by mLFSR generator were used for the inputs of descretized saw-tooth map, and, by the descretized map, chaotic binary sequence which has more long period of 16 times minimally is generated as a results.

  • 잉크 대신에 액체 또는 건조 토너를 사용한 디지털 인쇄기를 활용한 디지털 컬러 인쇄의 역사는 최소한 10년 이상 됐다. 인디고(Indigo)와 자이콘(Xeikon)으로부터 시작된 1세대 디지털 인쇄기들은 1993년 IPEX에서 세상에 첫 선을 보였다. 그러나 디지털 인쇄기들이 실질적으로 현장에서 사용, 가능해진 것은 1995년 드루파가 기점이 된다. 그런데 1995년 드루파에서 하이델베르그는 디지털 데이터로 작업되지만 4색 오프셋 인쇄 방법을 사용해 출력하는 퀵마스터(Quickmaster) 46-4DI 인쇄기를 소개했다. 이 제품은 적용성과 품질이 매우 좋고 운영 가격도 절감시켰기 때문에 디지털 컬러 인쇄기의 시장 진출을 늦추는 영향을 줬다고 평가된다.

  • This paper proposes a new layout algorithm in order to minimize chip area in one dimensional MOS - LSI composed of basic cells, such as NAND or NOR gates. The virtval gates are constructed, which represent I/O of signal lines at the left-most and at the right-most side of the MCS gate array. With this, a heuristic algorithm is realized that can minimize the number of straight connectors passing through each gate, and as the result, minimize the horizontal tracks necessary to route. The usefulness of the algorithm proposed is shown by the execution of the experimental program on practical logic circuits.

Evaluation of Curving Performance and Running Safety of New High-Power Electric Locomotive (신형 고출력 전기기관차의 곡선추종성 및 주행안전성 평가)

  • In this study, curve responsiveness was assessed based on the lateral force and running safety was evaluated based on the wheel unloading ratio and derailment coefficient, which is the ratio of the wheel load and the lateral force. The evaluation of the curving performance and running safety of the new high-power electric locomotive showed that the derailment coefficient appeared higher when the wheel-set was set to the front of the train instead of being placed backward, and the maximum value of the derailment coefficient was recorded as 0.572 on the Gyeongbu line. Furthermore, the lateral force increased in curved sections, and it appeared to be proportional to the curve radius. Meanwhile, a maximum axis lateral force of 77.6 kN was recorded on the Taebaek line, and the wheel unloading ratio was 47.6% on the Yeongdong line. Finally, the running safety at the maximum speed as well as the through-curve performance of the curve radius satisfied the required standards.
