Estimation of Total Material Requirement in Expressway Construction using Material Flow Analysis which is based on the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA기반 물질흐름분석 기법을 이용한 고속도로 건설에서의 총 자원요구량 산정)

  • During expressway construction it has been input a lot of material, but it does not manage to estimate quantitatively. In this study, the total material requirement for construction of expressway, which separated direct material requirement and indirect material requirement each section was quantified by combining life cycle assessment (LCA) and material flow analysis (MFA). In the direct material requirement, sand 2.27E + 04 ton/km, limestone 1.02E + 04 ton/km and gravel 4.47E + 03 ton/km were required, in the indirect material requirement, gravel 2.75E + 04 ton/km, iron 9.80E + 03 ton/km and coal 9.74E + 03 ton/km were required. Material such as sand, limestone which has high direct material requirement is require of excess input prevention from construction site, and material such as iron, rare metals(chrome, nickel) and coal which has high indirect material requirement is require additional studies of resource management.

호주의 우라늄 자원 및 광업현황

  • 이 동향자료는 Geoscience Australia에서 2001년 발간한 "Geoscience Australia Mineral Resources Report No.1"과 역시 동 기관에서 2007년 발행한 "Australia's Identified Mineral Resources 2007" 중 일부 내용을 발췌하여 정리 한 것으로서 요약하면 다음과 같다. OECD/NEA와 IAEA(2000)는 세계적으로 분포하는 우라늄 광상유형을 지질학적인 형성환경에 따라 15개 유형으로 분류하였으며 호주에서는 각력복합형, 부정합형, 사암형, 지표형, 변성교대형, 변성형, 화산형, 관입형 및 맥상형이 보고되어 있다. 유형별 자원량은 각력복합형, 부정합형 및 사암형 3개 유형 광상이 약 93%를 차지하며, 각력복합형광상의 자원량이 63%에 달한다. 현재 개발되는 광상은 각력복합형의 올림픽댐 광산, 부정합형인 레인저 광산 및 사암형인 베벌리 광산이다. 호주는 세계 총 우라늄 자원량의 27%를 보유하고 있어 세계 1위를 차지한다. 올림픽댐광상이 항내채광을 하는 우라늄 광산으로서는 세계에서 가장 큰 광상으로서 US$80 이하에서 회수가능한 RAR(적정확정자원량)이 476,000톤이다. 이 자원량은 세계 총 자원량의 18%를 차지하며, 단일 광산으로서는 세계최대규모이다. 2006년 호주의 우라늄 총생산량은 $U_3O_8$ 8,943톤(7,584톤 U)이며 이는 세 광산에서 생산된 양으로서 캐나다에 이어 두 번째로 많은 양(세계 생산량의 19%)이다. 2006년 우라늄 수출량은 $U_3O_8$ 8,660톤(7,344톤 U)이며 수출가는 호주달러 5억2천9백만불에 달한다. 호주는 우라늄 수출국들과 "원자력협력협약"을 맺어 평화적 목적을 위해서만 공급한다는 단서를 달고 있으며 IAEA에 의해 관리/감독되고 있다. 최근 호주 정부는 지구과학연구소에 많은 예산을 투여하여 육상에너지안전대책을 발의하여 자원개발에 요구되는 탐사자료 확보에 주력하고 있다.

Resource Prediction Technique based on Expected Value in Cloud Computing (클라우드 환경에서 기대 값 기반의 동적 자원 예측 기법)

  • Cloud service is one of major technologies in modern IT business. Due to the dynamics of user demands, service providers need VM(Virtual Machine) provisioning mechanism to predict the amount of resources demanded by cloud users for the next service and to prepare the resources. VM provisioning provides the QoS to cloud user and maximize the revenue of a service provider by minimizing the expense. In this paper, we propose a new VM provisioning technique to minimize the total expense of a service provider by minimizing the expected value of the expense based on the predicted demands of users. To evaluate the effectiveness of our prediction technique, we compare the total expense of our technique with these of the other prediction techniques with a series of real trace data.

  • 본 연구는 무선 및 사용자요구사항 등 환경의 변화에 따라 부반송파(subcarrier) 할당, 변조방식 및 전력량을 조절하는 적응형 다중사용자 OFDM 시스템을 다룬다. 먼저 사용자별 전송요구 비트수 및 전체 사용가능한 전력량에 대한 제약 조건하에서 총 데이터 전송량(Throughput)을 최대화하는 최적화 문제를 모형화한다. 이 문제는 대부분의 기존 연구들을 포함할 수 있을 정도로 포괄적이지만 미분이 불가능한 비선형 최적화 문제이면서도 빠른 계산시간을 요구한다. 본 연구는 쌍대간격(Duality Gap)이 0이라는 제안 문제의 특성을 바탕으로 하여 Subgradient 쌍대최적화(Dual Optimization) 기법을 적용한다. 또한 이러한 접근법은 사용자 또는 무선환경의 변화에 적극적으로 적응하는 무선자원 할당 메커니즘을 제시한다.

에너지수요관리(需要管理) 방안(方案)의 경제성(經濟性) 및 국제환경규제(國際環境規制) 대응효과(對應效果) 분석(分析)

  • 에너지수요관리는 경제성장과 환경문제의 딜레마를 동시에 구체적으로 해결해주는 방법으로 대두되고 있으며 세계적인 추세이기도 하다. 에너지수요관리를 통하여 우리나라는 총에너지수요의 22.3%(20.4백만 TOE)와 $CO_2$배출량의 18.7%를 줄일 수 있을 것으로 추정된다. 수요관리의 잠재량은 산업과 수송부문이 많으나 순편익은 상업과 가정부문이 높은 것으로 나타나 이 부문에 대한 우선적인 지원이 요구된다. 그러나, 절감잠재량은 산업부문과 수송부문에 80%이상 달려있으므로 이 부문에 대한 수요관리가 궁극적으로 중요하다. 그러나 이 분야는 구조적인 측면에서의 개선이 많이 요구되고 효과가 장기에 걸쳐 일어나므로 지금부터의 실시가 중요하며 지속적인 정책 추진이 필요하다. 투자의 효율성은 전력부문이 높게 나타나고 절전에는 산업부문의 전동기의 개선이 가정 효과적이며 환경오염저감효과도 가장 큰 것으로 추정된다. 최대부하를 줄이는 데는 조명기기의 전자식안정기나 전구식형광등으로의 개체가 효과적이다. 순편익은 냉장고, 세탁기 등이 높으나 절대 절감량이 작아 정책의 효과를 기대하기에는 한계가 있다. 반면, 열병합발전, 단열 및 폐자원활용은 세탁기, 에어콘 등에 비해 단위저감순편익은 낮으나 절감잠재량이 상대적으로 크기 때문에, 실질절감효과를 거두기 위해서는 이 분야에 대한 수요관리도 중요한 것으로 분석된다.

  • This study identified and quantified the hidden flows for steel and iron production in Korea using MIPS (Material Input per Service) methodology. In order to estimate the input orientated impact on the environment caused by the manufacture or services of a product, MIPS indicates the quantity of resources used for this product or service. In 2005, 71 million tons of raw materials were used to produce $17.6 million of added value and 4.8 thousand tons of finished steel. The amount of natural resources extracted from natural environments for the purpose of steel production was 245 million tons of TMR(Total Material Requirement), 1524 million tons of water, and 34 million tons of air. The material intensities for steel production by natural inputs (raw materials and energy) was 4.3 ton/ton of TMR, 28 ton/ton of water, and 0.5 ton/ton of air.

  • 본 논문에서는 D2D 단말이 셀룰라 시스템의 상향링크 자원을 재사용하는 환경에서 D2D 단말들의 효용함수 극대화 방안을 제안한다. 기존 셀룰라 단말의 간섭영향을 고려하여 기지국 수신단 총 간섭량을 제한하고, D2D 송신단 전송전력량을 제한한다. D2D 단말들의 효용 극대화를 위해서는 모든 링크간의 채널 정보를 요구하므로, 부분적인 링크 채널 정보만을 필요로 하는 분산적 알고리즘을 제안하도록 한다.

Consensus-Based Distributed Algorithm for Optimal Resource Allocation of Power Network under Supply-Demand Imbalance (수급 불균형을 고려한 전력망의 최적 자원 할당을 위한 일치 기반의 분산 알고리즘)

  • Recently, due to the introduction of distributed energy resources, the optimal resource allocation problem of the power network is more and more important, and the distributed resource allocation method is required to process huge amount of data in large-scale power networks. In the optimal resource allocation problem, many studies have been conducted on the case when the supply-demand balance is satisfied due to the limitation of the generation capacity of each generator, but the studies considering the supply-demand imbalance, that total demand exceeds the maximum generation capacity, have rarely been considered. In this paper, we propose the consensus-based distributed algorithm for the optimal resource allocation of power network considering the supply-demand imbalance condition as well as the supply-demand balance condition. The proposed distributed algorithm is designed to allocate the optimal resources when the supply-demand balance condition is satisfied, and to measure the amount of required resources when the supply-demand is imbalanced. Finally, we conduct the simulations to verify the performance of the proposed algorithm.

A Kinetic Studies of Pyrolysis and Combustion of Sewage Sludge (하수 슬러지의 열분해 및 연소 Kinetics 연구)

  • Effective treatment and energy conversion technologies are necessary due to the ban of the dumping of organic waste including the sewage sludge. In this study, the kinetics of pyrolysis and combustion were derived in a TGA and thermobalance reactor, which is essential for thermal conversion of sewage sludge to energy. Three steps are shown for the pyrolysis in TGA and the different pre-exponential factors and activation energies are derived depending on the temperature range. Three models of gassolid reaction were applied to the reaction kinetics analysis for the combustion of sewage sludge char and shrinking core model was an appropriated model. Apparent activation energy and pre-exponential factor were evaluated and the effect of oxygen partial pressure was examined.

A Structural Relationship among Job Requirements, Job Resources and Job Burnout, and Organizational Effectiveness of Private Security Guards (민간경비원의 직무요구 직무자원과 소진, 조직유효성의 구조적 관계)

  • The purpose of the present study was to find out cause-and-effect relationship between job requirements and job resources, with job burnout as a mediator variable, and the effects of these variables on organizational effectiveness. The population in the present study was private security guards employed by 13 private security companies in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do areas, and a survey was conducted on 500 security guards selected using purposive sampling technique. Out of 460 questionnaires distributed, 429 responses, excluding 31 outliers or insincere responses, were used for data analysis. For analysis, data were coded and entered into SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0, which were used to analyze the data. Descriptive analyses were performed to find out sociodemographic characteristics of the respondents. The exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) were used to test the validity of the measurement tool, and the Cronbach's Alpha coefficients were calculated to test the reliability. To find out the significance of relationships among variables, Pearson's correlation analysis was performed. Covariance Structure Analysis (CSA) was performed to test the relationship among latent factors of a model for job requirements, job resources, job burnout, and organizational effectiveness of the private security guards, and the fitness of the model analyzed with CSA was determined by the goodness-of-fit index ($x^2$, df, p, RMR, GFI, CFI, TLI, RMSEA). The level of significance was set at .05, and the following results were obtained. First, even though the effect of job requirements on job burnout was not statistically significant, it had a positive influence overall, and this result can be considered such that the higher the perception of job requirements by the member of the organization, the higher the perception of job burnout. Second, the influence of job resources on job burnout was negative, which can be considered that the higher the perception of job resources, the lower the perception of job burnout. Third, even though the influence of job requirements on organizational effectiveness was statistically nonsignificant, it had a negative influence overall, and this result can be considered that the higher the perception of job requirements, the lower the perception of organizational effectiveness. Fourth, job resources had a positive influence on organizational effectiveness, and it can be considered that the higher the perception of job resources, the higher the perception of organizational effectiveness. Fifth, the results of the analysis between job burnout and organizational effectiveness revealed that, even though the influence of job burnout on organizational effectiveness was statistically nonsignificant, it had partial negative influences on sublevels of organizational effectiveness, and this may suggest that the higher the perception of job burnout by the organization members, the lower the organizational effectiveness. Sixth, the analysis of mediating role in the relationship between job requirements and organizational effectiveness, job burnout was taking partial mediating role between job requirements and organizational effectiveness. These results suggest that reducing job burnout by managing job requirements, organizational effectiveness that leads to job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and turnover intention can be maximized. Seventh, the analysis of mediating role in the relationship among job requirements, job resources, and organizational effectiveness, job burnout was assuming a partial mediating role in the relationships among job requirements, job resources, and organizational effectiveness. These results suggest that organizational effectiveness can be maximized by either lowering job requirements or burnout management through reorganizing job resources.
