  • 가스 하이드레이트는 물분자와 저분자량의 가스분자가 고압과 저온에서 수소결합을 이루며 형성되는 결정성 화합물을 말한다. 최근 가스 하이드레이트의 물리적 특성과 형성 원리를 이용하여 다양한 분야로의 적용 연구가 수행되고 있는데 이의 효과적 달성을 위해서는 가스 하이드레이트의 상평형 연구가 필수적이다. 기존에 수행되는 상평형 실험 방법은 온도의 변화에 따라 하이드레이트를 해리시키고 압력의 변곡점을 찾는 것으로 최소 24시간이 소요되지만, 본 연구진이 제안하는 QCM을 이용한 방법은 1 ng의 무게에 1 Hz의 변화를 나타내는 수정진동자의 민감성을 이용한 것으로 약 2~3시간 내에 상평형 실험을 수행할 수 있고, 하이드레이트의 기억효과(Memory Effect)를 이용하여 연속적인 상평형 실험도 가능하다. 본 연구에서는 QCM 반응기의 원리 및 실험 방법에 대하여 설명하고 열역학적 촉진제를 첨가한 상평형 실험결과를 제시함으로써 상대적으로 저렴한 가격으로 다양한 촉진제와 억제제 첨가 시 나타나는 상평형 효과를 빠른 시간 내에 선별할 수 있는 방법으로 QCM을 이용한 방법을 제안하고자 한다.

  • 구강안면 동통중 가장 대표적인 측두하악장애를 치료하는데 있어 전기침 자극요법이 갖는 임상적 치료효과를 평가하기 위하여 측두하악장애 환자군을 환자에 대한 교육 및 온습포를 시행하는 자가치료 환자군, 전기침 자극요법을 시행하는 전기침 자극 환자군, 교합안정장치를 장착하는 구강내 장치장착 환자군, 총 3군으로 구분하였다. 이들 환자군에서 치료전과 치료 1주후 및 1개월 후에 visual analogue scale을 이용한 동통의 정도와 두경부의 근육촉진지수, 하악의 기능이상지수 및 저작근들의 압력통각역치를 측정하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 자가치료 환자군의 1주일 치료후 동통정도, 근육촉진지수 및 기능이상지수가 유의하게 감소되었다. 2. 전기침 자극환자군은 1주일 치료후 동통의 정도가 유의하게 감소하였으면 1개월 치료 후 동통의 정도와 근육촉진지수가 유의하게 감소되었다. 3. 구강내 장치장착환자군은 1주일 치료 후 동통의 정도가 유의하게 감소하고 심부교근의 압력통각역치가 유의하게 감소하였고 심부교근의 압력통각역치가 유의하게 증가되었다.

  • Early emergence of watermelon seeds was markedly enhanced by SMP treatment though the final emergence percentage was not significantly influenced. Mixing ratios of 10:1:5 and 10:1:6 (seed : Micro-Cel E : water by weight) were found to be most effective in promoting the early emergence of watermelon seeds primed for 72 hrs at $25^{\circ}C$. Even though the hypocotyl elongation was slightly promoted by SMP treatment, the hypocotyl diameter remained uninfluenced. Among the cultivars tested, 'House-Ilpum' and 'Surowang' showed the best response to the SMP treatment.

  • 본 연구에서는 한국어 음성어휘의 표상이 음성정보로 이루어져 있는지 아니면 철자정보로 이루어져 있는지와, 음성어휘의 표상단위가 음절인지를 조사하였다. 연구 과제로는 형태점화기법(form priming technique)을 사용하였다. 점화 자극과 목표 자극간의 관련성 수준으로는 음운적 혹은 철자적인 것을 사용하였다. 점화 자극과 목표자극간의 간격은 50msec 이었다. 따라서 SOA 각 점화자극의 제시시간에 50msec를 합한 것이다. 연구 결과는 음운적으로 관련되어 있을 때에는 무관련 조건에 비해 느려지는 방해점화(inhibitory priming)가 나타났고 철자적으로 관련되어 있는 경우에는 촉진적점화(facilitatory priming)가 나타났다. 이런 연구 결과는 시각단어 재인 연구에서도 보이는 공통적인 현상으로 음성어휘와 시각어휘가 심성어휘표상에서는 동일한 형태를 지니고 있음을 암시한다. 또한 음운적 관련성에 의한 방해점화효과는 음운음절을 공유하고 있는 어휘 후보자간의 경쟁 때문에 나타난 것으로 해석되며, 철자관련 촉진효과는 어휘접근 전에 일어나는 과정에서 나타나는 것으로 해석된다.

  • It was attempted in this experiment to observe the effect of ginseng saponin on the growth and recovery rate of Saccharomyces rouxii which was shocked by heat-stress. The growth of S. rouxii was found most active when the saponin concentration in the malt extract broth was $10^{-3}%$ And the growth rate of S. rouxii grown on medium containing $10^{-3}%$ ginseng saponin was faster thanh that of the yeast grown on medium without saponin from the early log phase of the yeast. The growth recovery rate of S. rouxii which was heat-shockied by $80^{\circ}C$ - 30 minites was accelerated in the medium added ginseng saponin.

Effects of Ascorbate on Somatic Embryogenesis in Carrot Cell Cultures (당근 세포배양으로부터 체세포배 발생에 미치는 아스콜빈산의 효과)

  • This study was conducted to elucidate the effects of ascorbic acid and dehydroascorbic acid on somatic embryogenesis from the cultured cells of carrot. Ascorbic acid in culture medium merely stimulated the proliferation of non-embryogenic cells but dehydroascorbic acid in medium induced embryogenic cells from non-embryogenic cells accompanying the inhibition of cell proliferation. Ascorbic acid in medium inhibited somatic embryogenesis from embryogenic cells while dehydroascorbic acid in medium enhanced somatic embryogenesis from the cells as well as non-embryogenic cells. This enhancement was limited to globular embryos and the maturation to cotyledonary embryos was inhibited by dehydroascorbic acid treatment. From the above results it is suggested that carrot callus cultures on medium containing dehydroascorbic acid could quickly induce embryogenic cells. In addition after brief culture of embryogenic cells on development medium containing dehydroascorbic there by acid the subculture of the cells to MS basal medium resulted in the high frequency production of somatic embryos.

  • A promoting effect of ginseng saponin on the growth recovery rate of Saccharomyces rouxii which was treated by heat was confirmed in previous report(22). In order to deduce the promoting effect on the growth recovery of the heat stressed yeast, the effect of ginseng saponin on the activity and the heat stability of the amylase produced by Sacchirromyces rouxii were observed. The amylase showed the highst activity at 0.01% of saponin. At this concentration, the activity increased about 23% compared to the control. Furthermore, the ginseng saponin showed a protective effect against thermal inactivation of the amylase produced by Saccharomyces rouxii.

  • This study was conducted to clarify the effects of various rhizobacteria in the root zone in terms of Azospirillum sp., Rhodopseudomonas sp., Pseudomonas sp., fusant of Bacillus sp. and Corynebacterium glutamicum on the growth of hydroponically grown cucumber plants. Densities in bacterial cells of fusant of Bacillus sp. and Corynebacterium glutamicum at different substrates were in the order of cocopeat > rockwool > nutrient solutions at 4 days after bacterialization. Plant growth promoting effects of the various rhizobacteria on the growth of hydroponically grown cucumber plants were in the order of Azospirillum sp. > Rhodopseudomonas sp. $\ge$ fusant of Bacillus sp. and Corynebacterium glutamicum > Pseudomonas sp. > control.

  • Heat release characteristics of a CaO packed bed reactor which is used for a chemical heat storage device has been studied. We employed Cu-plate fins to release the heat of reaction of the CaO packed bed inside the reactor fast and effectively. Two-dimensional analysis of unsteady state heat flow inside the bed was performed as a function of time and under various conditions of the Cu-plates. It is noted that the time required to release the heat of reaction with Cu fins is reduced more than twice fast compared to that without Cu fins. That was largely dependent upon the number of Cu-plate, as well.

  • The effects of sucrose concentration and some absorbents on growth and tropane alkaloid production in hairy root cultures of Scopolia parviflora were investigated. The maximum effect on growth and tropane alkaloid production in hairy root clone SP11 was obtained for 1/2 B5 medium containing 5% sucrose. The production pattern of tropane alkaloid in hairy roots was some different from that of rhizome of mother plant, particulary showing high littorine contents, which was not found in ordinary roots. Among absorbents examined, charcoal 0.01% and XAD-II 1% made a slight growth promotion effect, whereas the other concentration of charcoal, XAD-II and absorbents (amberlite and chitosan) showed inhibition or no significant effect. The addition of hydroxyapatite enhanced the production of tropane alkaloids significantly than control cultures.
