  • It is necessary to design th anti-vibration system of precision machinery for a sound operation and a quality assurance. However, in general. the allowable vibration limit is not well known. In the paper, the vibration criteria for foundation of vibration sensitive machinery is proposed and anti-vibration system is designed by using vibration measurement results of foundation. Also, the F.E. analysis is performed to verify the effectiveness of a designed anti-vibration system and to determine allowable dynamic load of machinery

  • 초단펄스를 생성하는 방법에는 이득 스위칭, 광 변조기, 모드록킹 레이저 등이 있다. 이중에서 모드록킹 광섬유 레이저를 이용한 초단펄스를 발생시키는 방법은 비용이 많이 들고 부피가 큰 단점을 갖고 있지만, 매우 짧은 펄스 폭 생성, 고 출력의 펄스생성, 그리고, 파장 및 주파수를 조절을 할 수 있다는 장점을 갖고 있다. 한편, 모드록킹 방법에는 수동형과 능동형이 있다. 수동형 방법은 아주 짧은 펄스 폭을 갖는 펄스를 발생할 수 있지만, 출력이 불안정하고 펄스의 발생주기를 조절하기 어려운 반면, 능동형 방법은 상대적으로 펄스폭은 넓지만, 안정된 출력과 펄스 발생주기를 짧게 할 수 있다. 따라서, 고 반복률의 안정된 펄스를 사용하는 초정밀 광 계측기나 광통신에 사용되는 광원으로 능동형 모드록킹 광섬유 레이저가 많이 사용되어지고 있다. KVN 단일경을 이용한 22/43GHz에서의 시험관측

  • 2009년부터 2010년에 걸쳐 22 및 43GHz 대역에서의 KVN 단일경 시험관측이 이루어졌다. KVN 관측소는 연세대학교, 울산대학교, 탐라대학교에 위치하고 있으며, 시험관측의 주된 내용은 안테나 지향모델 구축, 22/43 GHz 빔 정렬, 이득곡선 측정 및 안테나 효율측정 등이다. 구축된 지향오차의 정밀도는 세 곳의 관측소 모두 rms가 5초 이내였으며, 두 빔도 5초 이내로 정렬되어 있음이 확인되었다. 안테나 효율은 22 및 43GHz에서 모두 60%를 넘는 값을 얻을 수 있었다.

  • DC series wound motor is commonly used for the industrial vehicles. Although it has good operating torque, heavy variations of parameters and nonlinear properties on friction and loads make it difficult to satisfy desired performance using conventional controllers. To solve this problem, fuzzy controller is proposed in this paper. The fuzzy controller has been designed based on the fuzziness of variables, it retains robustness even with nonlinearity.

  • The study was carried out to develope a precision positioning apparatus, consisting of DC servo motor and piezoelectric actuator. This system is composed of fine and coarse apparatus, measurement system and control system, Piezoelectric actuator is designed for fine positioning. Coarse positioning using lead screw is drived by DC servo motor.   • Recently, the miniature of electric products such as notebook, cellular-phone etc. is apparently appeared, due to the smaller size of the semiconductor chips. As the size of chip gets smaller, the circuit could be easily damaged by the slightest influence, therefore it is important to investigate the machining quality of $\mu$ BGA. This paper deals with machining characteristics of the $\mu$ BGA singulation. The relationships between the singulation face and machining quality of the $\mu$ BGA singulation are investigated. It is confirmed that machining quality improves as the singulation force decreases.

  • Recently, miniaturization and mass production are the main trends in manufacturing fields. Therefore, ultraprecision machining and MEMS technology have been taken more 7md more important position in machining of microparts. Micro endmilling is one of the prominent technology that has wide spectrum of application field ranging from duo parts to micro products, such as PDP md IT components, in precision products manufacturing. However, decreasing of burr is significant problem in making smooth and precise parts in micro endmilling. This paper shows removal characteristics of burr generated by micro endmilling process. This results satisfies micro endmilling for micro barrier ribs of heights is $50{\mu}m$, $100{\mu}m$, $200{\mu}m$, $300{\mu}m$, and observation from of burr. Additionally, it is necessary to understand the formation mechanism of burr of micro barrier ribs to iud proper decreasing method.

  • An absolute type shaft encoder which utilized moire fringe will be presented in this paper. Linear moire fringe is commonly used to measure the displacement of the linear motion. However, an absolute encoder which measure the rotation angle of a shaft is operated usually with a code disk which the gray code pattern is printed on. Such encoder has inherently resolution limit because of the patterning mechanism and sensing mechanism. In order to measure the position of fringes which move as the code disk rotates, neural network was developed in this paper. Formerly fringe position is usually measured by a sophisticated software, which needs a little long calculation time. However, using neural network method can eliminate such calculation time, even though it needs learning job. The proposed method is verified through several experiments.

  • In this study, we aims to develop the machining technology for the ultra precision surface and profile accuracy. For this purpose, we construct the electrolytic in process grinding system (ELID grinding) and apply to the cylindrical and internal grinding. Through the various machining experiments such as SCM steel., ceramics, tungsten carbide etc., we have obtained nanometer surface roughness. And we have applied this mirror grinding technique to hydraulic manual valve and mold core of mini disk optical pick-up base. For the development of fine mechanical part machining technology, e have made multi fiber optical connector using fine grinding technology. And constructed micro drilling system with process monitoring system which is possible to drill 50${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ diameter hole.

  • As optical fiber communication grows, the fiber alignment become the focus of industrial attention. This greatly influence the overall production rates for the opto-electric products. We proposed multi-axis nano positioning stage for optical fiber alignment. This device has 3 DOF translation and sub nanometer resolution. This nano stage consist of 3 PZT-driven flexure stages which are stacked parallel. The displacement of it is measured with capacitance gauge and is controlled by computer-embedded main controller. The design process of flexure stage using FEM is proposed and the performance evaluation of this system is verified with experiments.
