Wireless Access Technologies for Enabling High-Capacity Ultrareliable Services (대용량 초정밀 서비스 실현을 위한 무선 액세스 기술 동향)

  • The advent of 6G networks, anticipated around 2030, will lead to the seamless convergence of high-capacity ultrareliable communications with precision sensing. This convergence will revolutionize wireless communications and enable applications such as autonomous and precise manufacturing even in vulnerable radio environments and delivering immersive extended reality experiences to passengers on high-speed trains. We present technological trends and standardization efforts toward the development of the key wireless access elements to meet the demands of this upcoming futuristic era.

  • Time synchronization is essential for a number of network applications such as high speed communication and parallel/distribution processing systems. As the era of ubiquitous computing is ushered in, the high precise time synchronization in wireless networks have been required in. This paper presents the design ana the implementation of the high precision time synchronization in wireless networks using ZigBee. To achieve high precision requirements, we have tried to analyze and reduce error factors such as the latency and jitters of a protocol stack on wireless environments. In addition, this paper includes some experiments and performance evaluations of our system. The result is that we established for nodes in a network to maintain their elects to within a 50 nanosecond offset from the reference clock.

  • Researches on military weapons are actively studied to improve national defense power of each country. The military weapon system is being used not only as a weapon but also as a reconnaissance and surveillance device for places where it is difficult for people to access. If such a weapon system becomes an object of attack, military data that is important to national security can be leaked. Furthermore, if a device is taken, it can be used as a terrorist tool to threaten its own country. So, security of military devices is necessarily required. In order to enhance the security of a weapon system such as drone, it is necessary to form a chain of trust(CoT) that gives trustworthiness to the overall process of the system from the power on until application is executed. In this paper, by analyzing the trusted computing-based boot technology, we derive trusted boot technology components and classify them based on hardware dependence/independence. We expect our classification of hardware dependence/independence to be applied to the trusted boot technology of our self-development ultraprecision weapon system to improve the defense capability in our military.

Design and Control of Ultra-precision Dual Stage with Air bearings and Voice coil motor for nm scanning system (나노 정밀도 스캐닝 용 공기베어링과 보이스 코일 모터의 초정밀 이중 스테이지 설계 및 제어)

  • In this paper, a decoupled dual servo (DDS) stage for ultra-precision scanning system with large working range is introduced. In general, dual servo systems consist of a fine stage for short range and a coarse stage for long range. The proposed DDS also consists of a $XY\theta$ fine stage for handling and carrying workpieces and one axis coarse stage. Its coarse stage consists of air bearing guide system and a coreless linear motor with force ripple. The fine has four voice coil motors(VCM) as its actuator. According to a VCM's nature, there are no mechanical connections between coils and magnetic circuits. Moreover, VCM doesn't have force ripples due to imperfections of commutation components of linear motor systems - currents and flux densities. However, due to the VCM's mechanical constraints the working range of the fine is about $25mm^2$. To break that hurdle, the coarse stage with linear motors is used to move the fine about 500mm. Because of the above reasons, the proposed DDS can achieve higher precision scanning than other stages with only one servo. With MATLAB's Sequential Quadratic Programming (SQP), the VCMs are optimally designed for the highest force under conditions and constraints such as thermal dissipations due to its coil, its size, and so on. And for their movements without any frictions, guide systems of the DDS are composed of air bearings. To get precisely their positions, a linear scale with 5nm resolution are used for the coarse stage's motion and three plane mirror laser interferometers with 5nm for the fine's $XY\theta$ motions. With them, on scanning the two stages have same trajectories. The control algorithm is named Parallel method. The embodied ultra-precision scanning system has sub 100nm following error and in-positioning stability.

Development of Hybrid Machining System and Hybrid Process Technology for Ultra-fine Planing and Micro Punching (초정밀 평삭가공과 마이크로 펀칭가공을 위한 하이브리드 가공장비 및 공정기술 개발)

  • Ultra-fine planing and micro punching are separately used for improving surface roughness and machining dot patterns, respectively, of metal molds. If these separate machining processes are applied for machining of identical molds, there could be an aligning mismatch between the machine tool and the mold. A hybrid machining system combining ultra-fine planing and micro punching was newly developed in this study in order to solve this mismatch; hybrid process technology was also developed for machining dot patterns on a mirror surface of a metal mold. The hybrid machining system has X, Y, and Z axes, and a cam axis for ultra-fine planing. The cam axis and attachable and removable solenoid actuators for micro punching can make large and small sizes of dot patterns, respectively. Ultra-fine planing was applied in the first place to improve the surface roughness of a metal mold; the measured surface roughness was about 20nm. Then, micro punching was applied to machine dot patterns on the same mold. It was possible to control the diameter of the dot patterns by changing the input voltage of the solenoid actuator. Before machining, severe inhomogeneous plastic deformation around the machined dot patterns was also removed by annealing heat treatment. Therefore, it was verified that metal molds with dots patterns for optical products can be machined using a hybrid machining system and the hybrid process technology developed in this study.

  • In this paper, stability of ultra precision cutting unit is analyzed and this unit is the kernel unit in ultra precision processing machine. According to alteration of shape and material about hinge, stability investigation is performed Through this stability investigation, trial and error is reduced in design and manufacture, at the same time, we are accumulated foundation data for unit control.

An Implementation of Software PLC Based on Real-Time Tasks of Linux (리눅스 상에서 실시간 태스크에 의한 소프트웨어 PLC의 구현)

  • 본 논문에서는 소프트웨어 PLC를 구현하는 방안을 제시하였다. 하드웨어는 표준적인 산업용 PC와 입출력 보드들로 구성된다. 운영체제로는 수십 마이크로초의 정밀한 단위로 태스크들의 스케줄링이 가능한 실시간 리눅스를 사용하였다. 소프트웨어 PLC를 위해 개발한 실시간 태스크들은 실시간 리눅스의 커널 모드에서 실행되며, 사용 목적에 따라 작성된 PLC 프로그램을 해석하고 실행하는 작업을 일정한 주기로 반복한다. 또한 PLC 프로그램을 편리하게 작성할 수 있도록 자체 프로그램 문법을 제안하고 이를 위한 컴파일러도 구현하였다. 이렇게 구현된 PLC는 가격 대비 성능이 우수하며 소규모의 응용분야들에 유용하게 활용할 수 있다.

  • 국립고흥청소년우주체험센터는 덕흥천문대 1M망원경으로 관측한 자료를 축적하고 있다. 1M망원경이 설치 된 후 발생했던 문제점인 광축, 극축, 지향정밀도, 추적정밀도를 개선하기 위해 시도했던 방법의 결과를 개선 전후 관측 자료를 비교하여 소개하고자 한다. 현재는 오토가이드 없이 별 추적이 3600초 정도 가능하다. 또한, 스크립트 활용으로 소프트웨어를 개선하여 관측의 용이성을 증대시켰다. 은하측광, 분광, 시계열관측 등 차별화된 연구를 수행하기 위한 기기 및 소프트웨어의 확충 보완을 수행하고 있다.

  • 국방과학연구소는 설립된지 불과 3년반의 짧은 기간내에 기본병기의 대부분을 개발하거나 개발에 착수함으로써, '70년대 후반까지 기본병기의 국산화를 이룬다는 기본목표를 달성할 수 있는 기술기반을 조성하였다. 뿐만 아니라 항공공업 사업준비를 착실히 해나감으로써 '80년대초까지 정밀병기의 국산화기반 구축에도 게을리 하지 않았다. 이러한 기본병기의 개발사업을 통해 예비군의 무장화는 말할 것도 없고, 현역군의 기존장비 유지에 큰 공헌을 함으로써 군의 전력증강에 크게 기여하였다
