A Digital Phase-locked Loop design based on Minimum Variance Finite Impulse Response Filter with Optimal Horizon Size (최적의 측정값 구간의 길이를 갖는 최소 공분산 유한 임펄스 응답 필터 기반 디지털 위상 고정 루프 설계)

  • The digital phase-locked loops(DPLL) is a circuit used for phase synchronization and has been generally used in various fields such as communication and circuit fields. State estimators are used to design digital phase-locked loops, and infinite impulse response state estimators such as the well-known Kalman filter have been used. In general, the performance of the infinite impulse response state estimator-based digital phase-locked loop is excellent, but a sudden performance degradation may occur in unexpected situations such as inaccuracy of initial value, model error, and disturbance. In this paper, we propose a minimum variance finite impulse response filter with optimal horizon for designing a new digital phase-locked loop. A numerical method is introduced to obtain the measured value interval length, which is an important parameter of the proposed finite impulse response filter, and to obtain a gain, the covariance matrix of the error is set as a cost function, and a linear matrix inequality is used to minimize it. In order to verify the superiority and robustness of the proposed digital phase-locked loop, a simulation was performed for comparison and analysis with the existing method in a situation where noise information was inaccurate.

  • 차세대 방송서비스 개발의 일환으로 관심을 모으고 있는 다시점 비디오 부호화(multi-view video coding, MVC) 방식은 인접한 여러 대의 카메라로 동시에 획득한 영상을 효과적으로 압축하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이때, 중간시전 영상을 생성하여 부호화하는 과정의 참조영상으로 이용할 수 있으며, 이를 위해서는 다시점 비디오 특성에 맞는 영상보간 방법이 필요하다. 기존에 제안되었던 영상보간법은 변위의 검색범위를 초기에 설정하여 블록정합을 이용하여 화소 단위로 변위를 측정하기 때문에 카메라 사이의 거리가 크거나 객체의 움직임이 커서 변위의 변동이 심한 영상에서는 안정적인 화질의 영상을 얻기 어렵다. 또한, 고정된 크기의 블록을 이용하여 전체 변위를 측정하므로 객체의 변위차가 큰 영역에서 변위 오류가 많이 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 문제를 해결하여 보다 개선된 화질의 중간시점 영상을 얻기 위한 새로운 영상보간법을 제안한다. 영역분할을 이용한 초기의 변위측정 과정에서, 처음부터 최대 변위의 범위를 설정하는 대신에 블록 단위로 대략적인 변위륵 측정한 후에, 가변 블록을 이용하여 보다 세밀한 변위를 측정한다. 이 방법은 변위차가 큰 객체의 경계 부분에서 보다 정확하게 변위를 측정 할 수 있으므로, 화소 단위로 변위를 측정할 때 이전에 추한 변위 정보를 바탕으로 각 화소별로 검색 범위를 설정한다. 적응적으로 설정된 검색 범위를 이용하여 화소 단위의 변위를 측정하면 보다 개선된 변위를 얻을 수 있다. 추가적으로, 변위측정 과정에서 발생하는 변위의 오류를 최대한 줄이기 위해 각 단계별로 미디언 필터를 이용하여 변위 오류를 수정하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 방법으로 실험한 결과 기존의 영상보간 방법보다 화질이 약 $1{\sim}4dB$ 정도 개선되었다.필, 투명도 등을 위성원격탐사 자료와 GIS를 이용하여 공간분석을 실시하고, 공간분포도를 작성함으로써 대상해역의 해양환경을 파악하였다. 본 연구결과, 분석된 위성자료가 현장조사에 의한 검증이 이루어지지 않을 경우, 영상자료분석을 통한 표층수온 추출은 대기 중의 수증기와 에어로졸에 의한 계산치의 오차가 반영되기 때문에 실측치 보다 낮게 평가 될 수 있으므로, 반드시 이에 대한 검증이 필요함을 알 수 있었다. 현지관측에 비해 막대한 비용과 시간을 절약할 수 있는 위성영상해석방법을 이용한 방법은 해양수질파악이 가능할 것으로 판단되며, GIS를 이용하여 다양하고 복잡한 자료를 데이터베이스화함으로써 가시화하고, 이를 기초로 공간분석을 실시함으로써 환경요소별 공간분포에 대한 파악을 통해 수치모형실험을 이용한 각종 환경영향의 평가 및 예측을 위한 기초자료로 이용이 가능할 것으로 사료된다.염총량관리 기본계획 시 구축된 모형 매개변수를 바탕으로 분석을 수행하였다. 일차오차분석을 이용하여 수리매개변수와 수질매개변수의 수질항목별 상대적 기여도를 파악해 본 결과, 수리매개변수는 DO, BOD, 유기질소, 유기인 모든 항목에 일정 정도의 상대적 기여도를 가지고 있는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이로부터 수질 모형의 적용 시 수리 매개변수 또한 수질 매개변수의 추정 시와 같이 보다 세심한 주의를 기울여 추정할 필요가 있을 것으로 판단된다.변화와 기흉 발생과의 인과관계를 확인하고 좀 더 구체화하기 위한 연구가 필요할 것이다.게 이루어질 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.는 초과수익률이 상승하지만, 이후로는 감소하므로, 반전거래전략을 활용하는 경우 주식투자기간은 24개월이하의 중단기가 적합함을 발견하였다. 이상의 행태적 측면과 투자성과측면의 실증결과를 통하여 한국주식시장에 있어서 시장수익률을 평균적으로 초과할 수 있는 거래전략은

Construction Cost Estimate Modeling of Roundabout at Preliminary Design Stage in Jeju (제주도 내 회전교차로의 초기공사비 예측모델 개발)

  • Recently, there are many roundabouts installation works which are ordered to provide convenient transportation to road users as well as to eliminate traffic accidents and traffic delays. This study propose an approximate construction cost estimation model for early stages of roundabout construction. The model is designed considering the conditions of the early stage roundabout construction sites in Jeju. The regression equation of approximate construction cost was derived through regression analysis of 25 design data of roundabout construction in Jeju, and it was analyzed to have a high prediction accuracy. Finally, results verifies high prediction accuracy of the derived regression equation. Difference between the estimation cost and the design cost was only 2.3%, 3.7%, and 5.8% that verifies the high accuracy of the proposed approximate construction cost estimation model.

  • GIS have become easier to use and very popular. In recent year digital photogrammetric systems ire becoming cost-effective tools to build and update GIS databases. In close-range photogrammetry for the acquisition of geospatial data, the bundle adjustment needs both initial approximate values and control points to solve the exterior orientation parameters. This paper gives a review of applied and potential algorithms for estimating Initial approximate values before the bundle adjustment, develope new algorithms for determine the exterior orientation parameters, and gives a cost-effective methods for close-range digital photogrammetric system Modifications of existing DLT algorithm were made in this study for providing an efficient, economic, and more accurate photogrammetric data reduction technique. These modifications include robust approaches for automatic detection and elimination of all lands of gross errors in the measurement data, and incorporation of GPS to reduce the number of control points necessary for a DLT solution. Also, this paper derives a new method for space resection from a monocular image. A major advantage of proposed method is that the solution can be uniquely and analytically determined without initial approximate values of exterior orientation parameters and without iterative computation.

  • In this paper, a robust and more accurate trajectory tracking control method for a mobile robot is proposed using WIPDC(Weighted Integral Parallel Distributed Compensation) and T-S Fuzzy disturbance observer. WIPDC reduces the steady state error by adding weighted integral term to PDC. And, T-S Fuzzy disturbance observer makes it possible to estimate and cancel disturbances for a T-S fuzzy model system. As a result, the trajectory tracking controller based on T-S Fuzzy disturbance observer shows robust tracking performance. When the initial postures of a mobile robot and the reference trajectory are different, the initial control inputs to the mobile robot become too large to apply them practically. In this study, also, the problem is solved by designing an initial approach path using a path planning method which employs $B\acute{e}zier$ curve with acceleration limits. Performances of the proposed method are proved from the simulation results.

  • In this paper we have implemented a 3-D PL (Position Location) system to estimate the 3-dimensional position of a moving object in underwater environments. In this research, we let four sensors fixed in different Positions and moving sensorsto communicate with each other to find the 3-dementianal positions for both the fixed and moving objects. Using this we were also able to control the moving object remotely. When finding the position, we calculated the norm of the Jacobian matrix every iteration in the Newton algorithm. Also by using a different initial value for calculating the solution when the norm became higher than the critical value and the solution from the inverse matrix became unstable, we could find a more reliable position for the moving object. The proposed algorithm was used in implementing a DSP system capable of real-time position location. To verify the performance, experiments were done in a water tank. As a result we could see that our system could located the position of an object every 2 seconds with a error range of 5cm.

  • Location-based services with GPS positioning technology as a key technology, but recognizing the current location through satellite communication is not possible in an indoor location-aware technology, low-power short-range communication is primarily made of the study. Especially, as Chirp Spread Spectrum(CSS) based location-aware approach for low-power physical layer IEEE802.15.4a is selected as a standard, Ranging distance estimation techniques and data transfer speed enhancements have been more developed. It is known that the distance measured by CSS ranging has quite a lot of noise as well as its bias. However, the noise problem can be adjusted by modeling the non-zero mean noise value by a scaling factor which corresponds to the change of magnitude of a measured distance vector. In this paper, we propose a localization system using the CSS signal to measure distance for a mobile node taken a measurement of the exact coordinates. By applying the extended kalman filter and least mean squares method, the localization system is faster, more stable. Finally, we evaluate the reliability and accuracy of the proposed algorithm's performance by the experiment for the realization of localization system.

Initial Imperfection and Axial Strength of Struts with Octagonal Hollow Section fabricated from HR Plate (열연강판 팔각강관 버팀보의 초기편심과 축방향 압축강도)

  • Developed in this study were Octagonal-hollow-section(OHS) struts, whose compressive strengths against flexural and local buckling is higher than H-shape or rectangular-hollow-section(RHS) struts with the same unit weight. OHS members are also advantageous in handling and storing compared to circular hollow sections(CHS). OHS members were fabricated from HR Plates by cold forming and fillet welding. 5 numbers of 20m long OHS struts were assembled, each of which consist of two 9.6m long OHS member and two end connection elements made of cast iron. The compressive strength of the OHS strut was evaluated by comparing the test results, design codes and FEM analysis each other. Test results show that all of the struts have almost same or larger compressive strength than Korean Road Bridge Design Code(KRBDC) (2012). The initial imperfections can be estimated by using measured strains and are turned out to be less than L/450 for all the struts tested. The results of FEM analysis show that the variation of initial imperfection has less effects on the compressive strength for struts with vertical surcharge than for those with self-weight only, while the strength decreases as the initial imperfection increases. As the result of this study, the allowable initial imperfection for 20m long OHS struts is recommended to be less than L/350 on job sites.

Convergence Analysis of the Least Mean Fourth Adaptive Algorithm (최소평균사승 적응알고리즘의 수렴특성 분석)

  • The least mean fourth (LMF) adaptive algorithm is a stochastic gradient method that minimizes the error in the mean fourth sense. Despite its potential advantages, the algorithm is much less popular than the conventional least mean square (LMS) algorithm in practice. This seems partly because the analysis of the LMF algorithm is much more difficult than that of the LMS algorithm, and thus not much still has been known about the algorithm. In this paper, we explore the statistical convergence behavior of the LMF algorithm when the input to the adaptive filter is zero-mean, wide-sense stationary, and Gaussian. Under a system idenrification mode, a set of nonlinear evolution equations that characterizes the mean and mean-squared behavior of the algorithm is derived. A condition for the conbergence is then found, and it turns out that the conbergence of the LMF algorithm strongly depends on the choice of initial conditions. Performances of the LMF algorithm are compared with those of the LMS algorithm. It is observed that the mean convergence of the LMF algorithm is much faster than that of the LMS algorithm when the two algorithms are designed to achieve the same steady-state mean-squared estimation error.

Simulation Model for Estimating Soil Temperature under Mulched Condition (멀칭에 따른 지온변화 모델의 작성 및 토양온도의 추정)

  • A numerical model using soil surface energy balance and soil heat flow equations to estimate mulched soil temperature was developed. The required inputs data include weather data, such as global solar radiation, air temperature, wind speed, atmospheric water vapor pressure, the optical properties of mulching material, and soil physical properties. The observed average soil temperature at 50 cm depth was used as the initial value of soil temperature at each depth. Soil temperature was simulated starting at 0 hour at an interval of 10 minutes. The model reliably described the variation of soil temperature with time progress and soil depth. The correlation between the estimated and measured temperature yielded coefficient values of 0.961, 0.966 for 5cm and 10cm depth of the bare soil, respectively, 0.969, 0.965 for the paper mulched soil, and 0.915, 0.938 for the black polyethylene film mulched soil. The percentages of absolute differences less than 2$^{\circ}$C between soil temperatures measured and simulated at 10 minute interval were 97.4% and 98.5% for 5 cm and 10cm for the bare soil, respectively, and 95.8% and 97.4% for the paper mulched soil, and 70.1% and 92.5% for the polyethylene film mulched soil. The results indicated that the model was able to predict the soil temperature fairly well under mulched condition. However, in the night time, the model performance was a little poor as compared with day time due to the difficulty of accurate determination of the atmospheric long wave radiation.
