This study started for the verification of the worry in the relationship within violent game use and youth moral. The survey was conducted and analyze some personal factor: self control, self esteem, aggression and game time. Self control and self esteem show positive relationship with moral, but aggression shows negative relationship. The other side, game use time doesn't show any relationship with moral whether the game is aggressive or not. It is significant for the game has no relations about a laxity of moral fiber of youth and the aggression of the game doesn't show any negative influence on moral.
This study was attempted to understand the effect of the violence victim experience of Korean adolescents on smoking using the data of the 15th (2019) online youth health behavior survey. The subjects of this study were 57,303 people, and the data were analyzed using the SPSS / Win 26.0 program for frequency analysis of complex samples, cross sample analysis (Rao-Scott 2 test), and logistic regression analysis of complex samples. The main result was 12.7% of the smoking subjects. Those who smoked were significantly more 9.6% and 22.0%, respectively, compared to those who had no more than 1 or 2 times of violence. Smoking of Korean adolescents adjusted for gender, grade, academic record, economic status, drinking, family living, and usual stress increased the odds ratio for smoking by 1.66 times when the degree of violence damage experience increased by 1 unit. As a result of the above, as the degree of violence victimization of adolescents increases, the likelihood of smoking increases. Therefore, it is necessary to multidisciplinary convergence effort to the prevention and management of violence of adolescents, and to reduce the smoking of adolescents.
This exploratory qualitative study investigates the effects of experiencing domestic violence on male adolescent offenders' masculinities. Empirical and theoretical literature suggests that negative male role models in violent families result in male adolescents' experiencing conflict in constructing gender identities, especially masculinities. Moreover. criminologists argue that masculinities are often connected with crimes as a way to prove masculine competence. This study compares male adolescent offenders who have experienced domestic violence with those who have not experienced domestic violence and explores how domestic violence experiences influence the construction of gender identities among male adolescent offenders. The study used a secondary qualitative data analysis method. The data consisted of ethnographic in-depth interview transcripts, observational field notes, and formal facility records collected at a juvenile correctional facility in Minnesota. The process of data analysis was a "constant comparative method" that sought to understand differences and similarities in the expressed gender narratives and identity patterns between the two groups of offenders. This process also examined differences within each group. The qualitative data analysis revealed that domestic violence experiences in childhood may be related to the construction of gender identities during adolescence. The findings of this study showed that male adolescent offenders who had experienced domestic violence tended to attach themselves to oppressed mothers more readily than those who had not experienced domestic violence. Next, their attachment to mothers related to the construction of more relational gender identities although most participants, regardless of domestic violence experiences, had much in common regarding gender expression. Finally, despite these relational gender identities, male adolescent offenders who had experienced domestic violence tended to depend upon violence and crimes to show masculine competence, as did male adolescent offenders who had not experienced domestic violence. The study findings suggest a need for research to understand the construction of gender identities in the context of particular experiences and the importance of building theories that advance a comprehensive understanding of the construction of masculinities and youth crime. This study also discusses the development of social work programs that protect young men from adherence to exaggerated masculinity, which is often associated with crimes.

The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship between violence damage experience and mental health of multicultural youths in Korea, and to use it as a basic data in developing mental health promotion interventions for multicultural youths. This study is a secondary data analysis based on the 2018 Youth Health Behavior Survey. Data analysis is based on IBM 25 ver. SPSS was used and logistic regression analysis was performed using complex samples. As a result of this study, factors affecting the mental health characteristics of multicultural youths in general are violent damage experience, gender, and subjective health. Suicide plans and suicide attempts were high. Although this study is a secondary data analysis study, it is difficult to grasp the school violence damage and mental health causality.
This study was to verify the mediated moderation effects of parental neglect on the process where school teacher violence affected depression and suicidal ideation of adolescents. Data of 6,291 middle and high school students from 'research on the actual state of human rights of Korean children and adolescents IV' conducted by National Youth Policy Institute were analyzed. The analyses were carried out with SPSS 18.0 and Process Macro 4.0 using descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, regression analysis, and bootstrapping. The results showed that 1. school teacher violence and depression significantly influenced suicidal ideation of adolescents, 2. depression showed mediating effects on the process where school teacher violence influenced suicidal ideation, 3. parental neglect showed mediated moderation effects on the process where school teacher violence influenced suicidal ideation through depression. The study also suggested the necessity to complement the education and counseling program and the relevant policy for parents and teachers who could affect suicidal ideation of adolescents.
This study examined the pathway through which adolescents' exposure to domestic violence could lead them to become addicted to Internet games. A total of 709 middle school and high school students were used as subjects and data from the 'domestic violence on children and adolescent' section of the 2010 National Data on Domestic Violence were used. The results of analysis using structural equations showed that the subjects' exposure to domestic violence did not directly affect their addiction to Internet games but that it indirectly affected their addiction through decrease in parental attachment. This can be interpreted to mean that when parents who should be a source of safety for their children become agents and recipients of violence, adolescents come to feel alienated because they cannot form any secure attachment to their parents and cannot build trust or emotional stability in their real-life parents, and they accordingly become absorbed in the virtual world of games. The results of the analysis were then used to discuss action plans for the prevention and intervention of adolescents' internet game addiction.
The purpose of this study is to verify the multi-mediated effects of human rights sensitivity and peer-coordination in the relationship between teenagers' school violence experience and cyberbullying in order to find alternatives to prevent cyberbullying as teenagers increase their use of smartphones. In order to achieve this research goal, four middle schools were selected by the education office located in downtown Busan and analyzed on 908 middle school students. The results of the study are as follows. First, school violence experiences have been shown to affect cyberbullying. Second, the experience of abuse and neglect during school violence affected human rights sensitivity, but the experience of damage did not affect human rights sensitivity. Third, among school violence experiences, the experience of damage and abuse influenced peer co-operation, but the experience of sitting on the sidelines did not affect peer co-operation. Fourth, human rights sensitivity affected cyberbullying. Fifth, peer groupings affected cyberbullying. Sixth, human rights sensitivity influenced peer-reaction. Seventh, among human rights sensitivities, bystander experience and cyberbullying were found to be mediating bystander experience and cyberbullying, but the damage experience and abuse experience did not have a mediating effect in human rights sensitization and cyberbullying. Eighth, peer cooperation was found to be mediating cyberbullying, but there was no mediating effect between on-the- sidelines experience and cyberbullying. Ninth, human rights sensitivity and peer creation are shown to mediate the relationship between on-the- sidelines experience and cyberbullying sequentially. However, human rights sensitivity and peer creation did not mediate cyberbullying sequentially between the experience of damage and the experience of perpetration. The implications of this study were to verify the effects of teenagers' school violence damage experience, abuse experience, and bystander experience on cyberbullying, and multiple interventions of human rights sensitivity and peer group.
This study was to explore the relationship between the smartphone use, school violence attitudes, bullying situation of adolescents in era of convergence. The participants were 341 middle school students from two school in G city. smartphone use, school violence attitudes, bullying situation and general characteristics of adolescents were measured. The data were collected from July 2 to 25, 2014. The collected data were analyzed through t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients and multiple regression analysis. The result showed smartphone use was positively correlated with school violence attitudes(r=.269, p<.000) and Bullies(r=.251, p<.000). The finding indicate that smatrphone use has an influence on school violence. Intervening approach to prevent and reduce bullying according to each types were required. Based on the research results, this study suggests policy implications for middle school students' smartphone use and school violence attitudes, bullying situation.
The purposes of the present study were to investigate the effects of individual, family, and school factors on the onset of adolescents' violence behaviors. For these goals, we applied discrete-time survival analysis to the Korean Youth Panel Survey. According to the estimated hazard function, the likelihood of onset of adolescents' violence behavior was low during elementary school years and increasing sharply from middle school years. Results showed that gender, self-esteem, aggressiveness, broken home, parental abuse, and the number of delinquent friends were significant determinants of the onset of adolescents' violence behaviors. Findings from this study suggest the need to focus on the significant determinants and consider various prevention programs.
