The Hearing Ability of the Scorpion Fish Sebastiscus marmoratus to Audible Sound 1. The Auditory Threshold (수중 가청음에 의한 쏨뱅이의 청각 능력 1. 청각 문턱치)

  • This experiment was carried out to investigate the auditory threshold of the scorpion fish Sebastiscus marmoratus which was suitable for Marine ranching by a classical respiatory conditioning technique using a sound coupled with a delayed electric shock. The thresholds were determined by analyzing the electrocardiogram. The auditory thresholds were observed among the 12 fish with much difference from 100Hz to 300Hz. The audible range of the scorpion fish extended from 80 to 800Hz with a peak sensitivity of 90㏈(0㏈= $1\mu$Pa) at 100Hz. As the frequency became higher than 300Hz, the auditory threshold increased rapidly. The scorpion fish was least sensitive to sound of 500Hz among 6 frequency points and the value was about 12㏈.

  • 고심도의 청각장애를 가진 아동의 음성은 높은 음도와 강도, 과비음 등 건청 아동과는 매우 다른 특성을 나타낸다. 그 중에서 초분절적인 요소에 속하는 억양은 청각장애 아동의 경우 단조롭고 높낮이 변화가 크지 않아서 의미전달에 어려움을 주는 중요한 요소이다. 청력손실이 고심도인 경우 수술을 하게 되면 청각적 수용능력을 높일 수 있어, 최근 부각되고 있는 인공 와우 이식수술을 받은 아동 또한 이러한 억양에서의 문제는 완전히 해결 받지 못하고 있다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 인공 와우 이식수술을 받은 청각장애 아동이 건청 아동과 억양에서 어떠한 차이를 드러내는지에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. Effects of time compression on auditory working memory and decision making process in normal hearing subjects (시간 압축이 청각 작업기억과 의사 결정 과정에 미치는 영향)

  • Background music is presented simultaneously with target messages. The main content should be kept intact for some time to aid decision making process. The maintenance of this information requires auditory working memory. The temporal compression of background music may often adopted due to the limitation of the presentation time. In this study, auditory working memory and decision making proces were analyzed in terms of temporal compression ratios of the background music. A total of 37 subjects of early twenties joined the study. Selected products were categorized based on eigen values of multi-dimensional scaling. Four presentation conditions were cases with no background music, background music with no compression, background music with low compression, and background music high compression. Matched reponses were analyzed through repeated ANOVA. Results showed that the high involvement product required more working memory resources. However, the increased level of usage did not always lead to the corresponding changes in decision making process. This approach may be useful in analyzing the role of time compression and working memory in consumer behaviors.

  • 1Hz에서 20Hz까지의 단속 주파수를 지닌 청각자극을 가해 얻은 EEG신호에서 자극에 따른 신호의 정성적이고 정량적인 특성을 카오스 분석방법을 통해 밝혔다. 먼저, 뇌전위 신호에 전반적으로 나타나는 일반적인 카오스 특징(fractal mechanism, 1/f frequency spectrum, positive lyapunov exponent등등)이 확인되어졌다. 유발전위에 대해서는 자극의 주파수에 따른 주기 배증을 경유한 카오스로 가는 길(route to chaos)과 2차원 pseudo-phase portrait의 뿌앙까레 단면에서의 기하학적 모양(topological property)의 변화가 관찰되어졌고, 자발전위가 포함된 유발전위에 대해서는 적절한 bases를 지닌 3차원 phase space에서 기이한 끌개(chaotic attractor)가, 유발전위의 정보를 지닌채 보여졌다. 끝으로 자극 주파수(단속 주파수와 반송 주파수) 변화와 측정이 이루어진 머리표면에서의 공간적 위치에 따른, lyapunov exponent값 변화가 의미있게 해석되어졌다. 이 결과는 무질서하게 보이는 뇌전위신호에서 주어진 청각자극에 대한 정보를 얻는 새로운 방법을 제시하게 된다.

음성질환별 MDVP, Phonetogram의 특징 연구

  • 음성에 대한 청각적 판단으로는 차이점과 공통점을 느낄 수 있으나, 개별적인 음향 분석에서는 차이점이나 공통점을 밝혀 내지 못한 경우가 많았다 따라서 음성에 대한 청각적 판단처럼 음향 분석 변수를 종합적으로 분석할 수 있는 MDVP와 Phonetogram을 이용하여 음성질환별로 나타나는 소견을 관찰하여 청각적 판단과 종합적인 음향학적 분석간에 연관성이 있는지 알아보고자 하였다. 음성변화를 주소로 본원에 내원하였던 환자 중 화상회선경술 검사상 양성성대질환이 관찰되었던 102명을 대상으로 하였고, 성대질환이 없었던 정상군과 비교하였다. 각 대상들은 화상회선경술 검사에서 질환의 종류를 확인하였고, 질환별 청각적 분석을 GRBAS로 확인하였다. 또한 MDVP를 시행하여 질환별로 변수들의 특징적인 변화를 종합적으로 도식화하여 확인하였고, Phonetogram을 시행하여 질환별로 감소된 부분이 있는지 확인하였다.   • 본 논문은 청각 자극이 제시되었을 때 변화되는 뇌파로부터 의미 있는 특징을 찾아내서 정량화 할 수 있는 변수 추출 및 분류 기법을 제시한다. 건강한 피실험자로부터 방향성 있는 청각 자극을 인가했을 때의 뇌파를 검출, 분류하였다. 뇌파의 변수 추출 방법으로는 짧은 시간영역에서의 신호의 갑작스런 변화량도 정량적으로 분석할 수 있는 Mallat's A1gorithm을 이용한 웨이블릿 변환(wavelet transform)을 적용하였고, 분류 방법으로는 그 결과로 나온 웨이블릿 계수를 변수로 하여 Neural Network을 학습하여 사용하였다. 향후 피실험자의 훈련을 통해서 청각 자극이 없이 순수한 생각만으로 방향을 검출할 수 있는 뇌파분석기를 만든다면 생각만으로도 물체의 방향을 제어할 수 있을 것이다.

The Changes of the Heart Rate, Hand Function, and Health related Quality of Life of the People with Intellectual Disability through the Increase of the Auditory Stimulation (청각자극 증가에 따른 지적장애인의 심박수와 손 기능, 건강관련 삶의 질의 변화)

  • The purpose of the study is to analyze the changes of the heart rate, hand function, and health related quality of life of the people with intellectual disability through the increase of the auditory stimulation. The subjects were 16 people with intellectual disability. The increase of the auditory stimulation was modulated through the music sound and the intensity was consisted of 60dB, 65dB and 70dB. The wist heart rate and blood pressure monitor was used to measure the heart rate during the application of the auditory stimulation increase. The hand function of right and left hand was measured by the Purdue pegboard. Health related of quality of life was measured by the short form-8 health survey. As the results, the increase of the heart rate was showed by the increase of the auditory stimulation and the decrease of the hand function and health related quality of life was showed. For these, the increase of the auditory stimulation acts as a psychological distress, thereby the increase of the heart rate and the reduction of the hand function and health relate quality of life showed. Thus, to decrease of the heart rate and increase the hand function and the health related quality of life of the people with intellectual disability, the intensity of the auditory stimulation should be considered in the environmental stimulation.

  • Unlike adults, cognitive ability and communication are not accurate in pediatric patients. Therefore movement due to psychological anxiety in X-ray photography is one of the factors that increase repeated irradiation. In order to minimize the rejection of X-ray and to improve the satisfaction of medical service, it is necessary to improve the environment of the radiological room to help psychological stability and to find a positive measure for reduction of radiation dose, including unnecessary. The subjects of this study were 186 pediatric patients from May to July, 2017, who were from 6 months to 36 months, The study group was set up a radiological room without auditory and visual environment changes is A group, except for changes in visual environment, the room where only auditory environmental changes were applied was group B, the auditory environment changes were excluded, and the room where only the visual environment change was applied was divided into group C, the auditory and visual environment changes were applied to the D. In group A, 10 retrospectives were obtained, 7 in group B, 5 in group C, and 2 in group D. Especially in group A and group D, statistically significant at p <0.053 In conclusion, hearing and visual environment changes affected the psychological stability of pediatric patient, and the repeated irradiation was reduced, thus improving the quality of medical services.

The Changes of the Visual Dominance Effect due to Semantic Congruence of Visual and Auditory Information (시각과 청각 정보의 의미적 일치성에 따른 시각 우세성 효과의 변화)

  • When visual and auditory information is presented simultaneously, we perceive visual information dominantly over auditory information. This effect is called the visual dominance effect. This study was to examine the influence of semantic congruence of visual and auditory information on the visual dominance effect. The semantic congruence of visual and auditory information was manipulated. The results showed that the visual dominance effect obtained in error rates was not modulated by semantic congruence, whereas the effect in RT was. It is suggested that this modulation of the influence of semantic congruence on the visual dominance effect would be due to the task type.

  • An experiment was carried out to obtain the fundamental data on the auditory thresholds of fishes for catching method using audible frequency sound, the auditory thresholds of dusky spinefoot Siganus fuscescens(Houttuyn) were measured in the presence of masking noise in the spectrum level range of 74 - 83dB re $1{\mu}Pa/{\sqrt{Hz}}$ by heartbeat conditioning technique using pure tones coupled with a delayed electric shock. The auditory critical ratios were about 23 - 34dB at measurement frequency range. The ratio increased almost linearly with increasing frequency from 200 to 500Hz. The noise spectrum level at the start of masking was about 61 - 73dB within the measurement frequency range. This suggests that hearing of dusky spinefoot is masked in the natural environment with the noise spectrum level above 70dB. The sound pressure level of which the signal sound of 100Hz is recognized by dusky spinefoot under the white noise of 70dB is above 98dB and the critical ratio of them is above 23dB.
