  • 충남 논산에 위치한 (주)우성양행은 동물용의약품 분야에서 탑티어에 속하는 기업이다. 모기업인 우성사료와는 축산업분야에서 동반자적 관계를 유지하면서 높은 성장도 이뤄냈다. 우성양행에서 생산관리를 총괄하는 나기선 상무이사는 "동물의약품 분야에서 매출액 기준 10위권인 우성양행은 첨가제, 의약품 쪽으로는 3위권이고, 팜세이프, 농장 소독 등 농장 청결제 분야에서는 선도를 달리고 있다"고 밝혔다. 단순히 시장점유율만 높은 것이 아니다. 철저한 제조과정 속에 6년 동안 단 한차례의 사고도 발생하지 않았고 농림축산검역본부의 GMP(동물용의약품 등 제조 검사시설 및 품질관리기준)를 준수하며 적합한 제품을 생산해 오고 있다. 동물의약품 제조분에서 시장점유율, 안전분야 모두 선두에 서 있는 우성양행이 어떠한 안전관리와 경영활동을 펼치고 있는 이야기를 들어봤다.

A Study on the Performance Comparison of the Agents for Asphalt Pavement Recycling (재생 아스팔트 첨가제의 성능비교 연구)

  • The usage of recycling agent is the most effective way of enhancing the performance of recycled asphalt pavement. Generally, many countries accepted these recycling agents retarding the various types of cracks resulted in binder aging. Contrary to such general tendency, recycling agents are used as very small amount in domestic recycling plant. The main reason of this is relatively high price of recycling agent. Even though agent price is high, agent can be a effective and economical way of alternative in asphalt recycling. In this study, penetration and softning point test performed by using RTFO(Rolling Thin Film Oven) aged binder. And, PG(Performance Grade) at high temperature, fatigue and MSCR(Multi Stress Creep and Recovery) tests exercised. The oil type agent is worked well to retrieving target penetration number. In PG test, $G^*/sin{\delta}$ of agents identically showed high value and polymer type agent is good at recovery value.

Utilization of Charcoal as an Environmentally Friendly Building Materials (I) - Characterization of Building Materials Prepared with Charcoal - (목탄을 이용한 친환경 건축자재 이용기술(I) - 목탄으로 제조된 건축자재의 특성 평가 -)

  • The objective of this study was to investigate potential usage of environmentally friendly building materials, liquid mortar and dry cement mortar mixed with charcoal, based on the test of their physical and chemical properties. From the test results of physical and chemical properties of the liquid mortar mixed with charcoal, liquid mortar containing over 20% of charcoal, the consistency viscosity and the non-volatile content met a standard requirement. Drying time was delayed with increase in charcoal contents in the liquid mortar, however they were fully cured within 60 minutes in all treated levels. Other properties were acceptable at standard requirement. From the results, it was found that the proper charcoal addition level to the liquid mortar was 25%. In the results on dry cement, it was found that samples containing 5% of charcoal showed the maximum compressive strength, whereas samples containing over 20% of charcoal did not reach the minimum requirement of KS standard. Water retention ability constantly increased as the charcoal ratio increased. The conventional dry cement mortar adsorbed 59.5% of it, in the test of adsorption rate on ammonia gas, whereas cement mortar containing 10% of charcoal showed 71.6% of ammonia gas adsorption.

Properties of Inorganic Adhesives according to Phosphate Type and Borax Ratio (인산염 종류와 붕사 첨가율에 따른 무기접착재의 특성)

  • Epoxy resin adhesives are currently used as adhesives in buildings. Epoxy resin adhesives, which are organic materials, generate harmful substances when producing adhesives, and toxic substances are high in the residential space after installation. In addition, a large amount of carbon monoxide generated from organic materials in the case of a building fire leads to personal injury. This study evaluates the feasibility of inorganic adhesives using pure inorganic materials such as magnesia, phosphate, and borax as inorganic adhesives to replace existing organic adhesives. As a result of the experiment on the selection of adequate phosphate and the characteristics of the addition rate of borax used as a retarder, the potassium phosphate monobasic was obtained as a suitable phosphate and the characteristics according to the borax addition rate were compared with the quality standard of KS F 4923 The hardening shrinkage and heat change rate satisfied the quality standards. The tensile strength was satisfactory when the borax addition rate was 4% or more, but the adhesive strength did not meet the quality standards. Further studies are needed to improve adhesion strength.

Application of Paper Sludge Ash-Stabilized Soft Ground for Subgrade Soil (제지애쉬 고화제로 안정처리된 연약지반의 도로노상토 적용에 관한 연구)

  • The southwestern part of Korean Peninsula, which length is about 13,000 km, is largely formed with soft cohesive soil ground and when it is developed, the low bearing capacity and excessive settlement of soft ground give many problems. In particular, a lot of clayey soil is deserted due to high moisture content and weakness, and areas formed with soft ground. In this study it was performed unconfined compression test, CBR tests, laboratory frost heaving test, and wheel tracking test in order to determine the optimum mixture ratio of paper sludge ash added chemical stabilizer with soft soil for consideration of its frost heaving and strength characteristics. As a results of the above experiments, when the soft soil is mixed with 6% of chemical stabilizer to improve the soft soil for utilizing as a subgrade soil material. It is satisfied the quality standard of fill materials, and the results of this research are expected to be used as an appropriate usage standard for utilization of on-site soil generated.

  • This study attempted to examine the effects on sensory characteristics and texture of Kyongdan in various volume of adding water and number of kneading in the preparation of Kyongdan. Evaluation was conducted through sensory evaluation and objective evaluation. The results were summarized as follows. 1. In sensory evaluation on the various volume of water and unmber of kneading, the most favorite tendency on the overall guality was at the 25% addition water and over 50 times kneading with glutious rice powder. 2. This condition corresponded to the low level of hardness, gumminess, chewiness and the high level of springiness and cohesiveness in comparison with Instron measurement.

  • Water-soluble rubber asphalt-based waterproofing material, which is one of the waterproofing materials for building structures, is mainly used indoors (toilet, kitchen, balcony, etc.). In general, asphalt-based materials are used for non-exposed installation, rather than as exposed type as they do not deviate from their usual basic black pigmentation, and water-soluble rubber asphalt-based coating waterproofing materials are basically limited to indoors because of their low physical properties. Accordingly, in order to improve the tensile and elongation properties, a silane coupling agent, an inorganic filler, and a processor oil w ere added to improve the physical properties, and accordingly, the basic physical properties of the outdoor coating waterproofing material quality standard were analyzed. As a result, the water-soluble rubber asphalt coating waterproofing material compared with the exposure quality standard showed a result that exceeded the basic physical property quality standard of silicone rubber in all items under test evaluation, but the tensile strength and tear strength of the first class of urethane rubber were chloroprene. It was found that the performance compared to the quality standards of rubber-based tear strength was about 34.2% to about 40.8%.

In sensory evaluation on various volume of water and volume adding salt the most favorite tendency on the gualtity was at the 25vo adding water and 1∼1.5% adding salt. 2. This condition corresponded to the low level of hardness, adhesiveness, gumminess, chewiness and high level of springiness in compa-rison with Instron measurement. In summary the most favorite factor is 12 hours soaking time, 25% adding water (hot water), 1∼1.5% adding salt, over 50 times kneading.

Processing of Powdered Jujube Juice by Spray Drying (분무건조에 의한 분말대추음료의 가공)

  • Spray dried powdered juice was processed from concentrated extract of jujube(Zizyphus jujuba MILLER). Spray drying of the extract solution could not be operated to have powder product by itself over whole concentration range and required addition of some carrier or support material. The concentrated extract of 26$^{\circ}$Bx was combined with carrier material solution to have a final concentration of 30$^{\circ}$Bx, and then spray dried. Proper addition level of carrier solid for physical and flavor quality of the powder product was determined to be 1 : 1 ratio to jujube solid. Combined use of maltose and gum arabic produced the best quality product among the studied carrier materials, which were maltose, dextrin, condensed milk and gum arabic. Enzymatic treatment in extraction process could increase the yield by 13~39%, but hurt the sensory quality of powdered juice. Treatment by 0.5% pectinase(0.05 unit/ml) may be used with lesser quality change for improved yield.
