Efficiency Optimization Control of SynRM Drive using Multi-AFLC (다중 AFLC를 이용한 SynRM 드라이브의 효율 최적화 제어)

  • Optimal efficiency control of synchronous reluctance motor(SynRM) is very important in the sense of energy saving and conservation of natural environment because the efficiency of the SynRM is generally lower than that of other types of AC motors. This paper is proposed a novel efficiency optimization control of SynRM considering iron loss using multi adaptive fuzzy learning controller(AFLC). The optimal current ratio between torque current and exciting current is analytically derived to drive SynRM at maximum efficiency. This paper is proposed an efficiency optimization control for the SynRM which minimizes the copper and iron losses. There exists a variety of combinations of d and q-axis current which provide a specific motor torque. The objective of the efficiency optimization control is to seek a combination of d and q-axis current components, which provides minimum losses at a certain operating point in steady state. The control performance of the proposed controller is evaluated by analysis for various operating conditions. Analysis results are presented to show the validity of the proposed algorithm.

The Effects of Co Addition on Glass Forming Ability and Magnetic Properties for FeSiBNb Ribbon Alloys (FeSiBNb 리본 합금의 비정질 형성능과 자기적 특성에 미치는 Co의 첨가 효과)

  • The thermal and magnetic properties of amorphous (FeCo)SiBNb ribbon alloys with high glass forming ability have been investigated. The glass forming ability was enhanced by Co substitution in amorphous ($Fe_{1-X}Co_X)_{72}Si_4B_{20}Nb_4$ alloys with the thickness of about $40{\mu}m$. With the increase in Co content, the temperature range of supercooled liquid phase increased indicating the high glass forming ability of the Co-added alloys. Further the ac permeability increased, and the core loss decreased considerably by Co substitution, while small change in $B_8$ (magnetic flux density at 800 A/m) was observed. The frequency characteristics of permeability deteriorated as compared to conventional amorphous ribbon alloys with the thickness of about $20\;{\mu}m$ due to the increased skin effect.

  • The development of an insulated coating which can be used for amorphous alloys is extremely important from the practical point of view. This importance may be enhanced by the influence of the coating on the magnetic properties. The purpose of this study is to show how new developed insulating coating materials and method influence the magnetic properties of amorphous Fe/sub 87/Zr/sub 7/B/sub 5/Ag/sub 1/(at%) ribbon.

Effect of SRA on Hysteresis and Eddy Current Components of Iron Loss in Non-Oriented Steels (무방향성 전기 강판 철손의 자기 이력 손실과 와전류 손실에 미치는 SRA의 영향)

  • This proper focuses on results of relative permeability(${\mu}$$\sub$r/), core loss(W) and magnetic induction [B] measurements on some of the most commonly used core materials(PN-18, 20, 30, 60, Pohang Iron '||'&'||' Steel Co., Ltd.) In case of Stress Relief Annealing(SRA). Results of magnetic induction[B] showed weak variations but core lass reduced strongly after SRA Core loss reduced from 3.071 ∼7.819(W/kg) and 11.377~3.988[W/kg] to 2.88~5.492[W/kg] and 1.213~2.134[W/kg] at 1.5[T] 50 Hz and 1.0 [T] 50Hz respectively after SRA. This SRA process leads to significant changes In magnetic properties and core loss of non-oriented silicon steel sheet.

  • 전기강판으로 제작된 전기기기의 보다 정확한 수치적인 해석을 위해서는 회전자계(Rotating m-agnetic flux)에 따른 전기강판의 정확한 자계특성 측정이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 개발된 2방향 자계인가 형 Single sheet tester를 이용하여 회전자계에 따른 전기강판의 자계특성을 측정하였다. 실험을 통하여 등방성 시료와 이방성 시료에 대하여 각각 회전자계 및 교번, 회전자계의 혼합형 자계를 인가하여 1.6[T]와 1.2[T]까지 측정할 수 있었으며, 일반적인 철손(Alternating Iron Loss)외에 회전자계 인가 시에 B와 H의 위상차이에 의해 발생하는 회전자계 손실을 측정하였다.

  • In this paper, we investigated the iron losses in the rotor core of interior permanent magnet synchronous machine (IPMSM), which have distributed armature windings. From the analysis results, we can conclude that iron losses of rotor are definitely large at load condition if the number of slots per pole is fractional. Since the slot-pole combination may induce excessive heating, particular care should be necessary in design of PMSM for a high power rating application such as electric vehicles.

  • To achieve the high performance speed control of synchronous permanent magnet motor, the influence of iron loss can not be negleced as the increase of driving frequency with high speed operation. This paper proposes a maximum efficiency control algorithm for permanent magnet synchonous motors by controlling the d-axis component of the armature current at any speed and torque. The objective of the optimum efficiency controller is to seek a combination of d-q axis current components which provide minimum input power (minimum losses) at a certain operating point by adding a small amout of perturbation to the d-axis current reference.

  • Iron loss is a possible source of performance deterioration, especially for a torque regulation, in field oriented induction machine. In this paper, study on the model of an induction machine with iron losses, a flux estimation strategy, the design of direct and indirect field oriented controller, a precise torque regulation scheme and the determination of a core lost resistance are discussed. Simulation and experimental results are also included and show the effectiveness of the proposed analysis and the proposed control strategy.

  • For electrical machine designers, core loss data are usually provided in the form of tables or curves of total loss versus flux density or frequency. The aim of this work is to propose a mathematical model for the iron losses prediction in soft magnetic material$ with any frequency and flux density. In this paper, three formulas for calculating the iron loss coefficients are discussed. And the coefficients are applied to calculate the iron loss of the 25kW high speed motor.

  • In general, Vector control of synchronous reluctance motor(SynRM) is performed under the assumptions that all the parameters are constant and magnetizing flux saturation and iron loss effect can be negligible. Under these assumptions, however, torque nonlinear characteristic can be a possible performance deterioration when precision torque control is needed and operating speed is high. This paper proposes the method, in the Synchronous Reluctance Motor (SynRM), which select appropriate stator d,q-axis currents that the influence of iron core loss on the developed torque can be minimized, and shows that the proposed method is comparable to the algorithm which compensates the iron core loss effect.
