컨테이너 항만의 철도 운송 터미널 설계변수 결정 (Determining Values of Design Parameters for a Rail Transportation Terminal in a Container Port)

  • Rail transportation terminals play an important role in inland transportation systems, because the operation productivity in the terminals significantly influences the efficiency of the whole transportation systems. This paper addresses a design method of a real rail terminal that satisfies a pre-specified throughput capacity. In order to construct high performance rail terminal, it is shown how design parameters can be estimated systematically. Examples of the design parameters are the number of transshipment tracks, the number of rail cranes, and the number of internal trucks. These design parameters are estimated by using simple equations and the validity of the values of these parameters are tested by using simulation. Furthermore, some iterative correction procedure, which uses the simulation technique and the equations alternately, are proposed.

  • The configuration design of a mechanical product can be efficiently performed when it is based on the functional modeling. There are methodologies, which decompose function from the abstract level to the concrete level and match the functions to physical parts. But it is difficult to carry out an innovative design when the function is matched only to a pre-detined part. This paper describes the configuration design process of a mechanical product with a design expert system, which uses function taxonomy and TRIZ theory. The expert system can propose a functional modeling of a new part. which is not in the existing parts list. The abstraction levels of design knowledge are introduced, which describe the operation of mechanical product in the levels of abstraction. This is the theoretical background of using knowledge of function and TRIZ for configuration design. The expert system is adequate to control this design knowledge. which expresses knowledge of functional modeling, mapping rules between functions and parts, selection of parts, and TRIZ theory. The hierarchy of functions and machine parts are properly expressed by classes and objects in the expert system. A design expert system has been implemented for the configuration design of a train bogie, and a new brake system of the bogie is introduced with the aid of TRIZ's 30 function groups.

  • 국내 항만산업의 발전과 더불어 내륙운송 산업 또한 발전하였으며 이에 따라 항만은 내륙과 연결하는 거점 역할이 증대되고 있다. 이에 따라 항만과 각 지역들 간의 화물 흐름에 관한 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 하지만 우리나라 기종점 통계 자료는 단순하게 O/D분석방법을 이용하여 구축되어 화물의 정확한 운송경로를 파악하기 어려운 문제점이 있다. 또한 이러한 통계자료는 철도를 이용한 복합운송을 제대로 고려하지 못하는 단점이 있다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 P/C개념을 도입하여 부산항을 입출항하는 컨테이너를 대상으로 화물경로분석을 실시하여 화물의 정확한 운송경로를 파악하고 이에 따른 각 지역 간의 기종점 자료를 재구축하였다.

산업연관분석에 의한 운송부문별 국민경제적 파급효과의 상호비교 분석 (A Comparative Study on Economic Effects on the Korean Economy by Transport Mode Using Input-Output Analysis)

  • This paper is concerned with a comparative study on the economic effects upon the Korean economy by transport mode, ie road, rail, air, and coastal and inland water transportation between 1990 and 2000, using input-output analysis. The economic effects consist of backward and forward linkage effects, production inducing and import-inducing effects. The data employed for this study come from the Bank of Korea database for Input-Output structure of the Korean economy. The major findings in this study are, among others:(1) the power of dispersion(=backward linkage effect) of coastal and inland water transportation sector is the highest among the four transport sectors, while road cargo transport mode showed the highest the degree of sensitivity (=forward linkage effect); (2) rail cargo transport recorded the highest production inducing effects; and (3) air transport mode achieved the highest ranking in the import-inducing effects.

농작물 질병분류를 위한 전이학습에 사용되는 기초 합성곱신경망 모델간 성능 비교 (Performance Comparison of Base CNN Models in Transfer Learning for Crop Diseases Classification)

  • Recently, transfer learning techniques with a base convolutional neural network (CNN) model have widely gained acceptance in early detection and classification of crop diseases to increase agricultural productivity with reducing disease spread. The transfer learning techniques based classifiers generally achieve over 90% of classification accuracy for crop diseases using dataset of crop leaf images (e.g., PlantVillage dataset), but they have ability to classify only the pre-trained diseases. This paper provides with an evaluation scheme on selecting an effective base CNN model for crop disease transfer learning with regard to the accuracy of trained target crops as well as of untrained target crops. First, we present transfer learning models called CDC (crop disease classification) architecture including widely used base (pre-trained) CNN models. We evaluate each performance of seven base CNN models for four untrained crops. The results of performance evaluation show that the DenseNet201 is one of the best base CNN models.

토공현장 적용성 검증을 위한 MMS 정밀도 분석 (MMS Accuracy Analysis for Earthwork Site Application)

  • Researches utilizing the fourth industrial revolution technology are being conducted as a breakthrough for improving the earthworker productivity. In order to make the earthwork site smarter, it is necessary to digitize the construction site topography at first. For this purpose, photogrammetry using drones and LiDAR on MMS have been recently used. The purpose of this study is to analyze the accuracy of LiDAR by installation angles for verifying the application of MMS in the construction site. As a result of comparing the coordinates measured by the total station and the LiDAR, a small error of about 1-2 centimeters was shown. It is confirmed that MMS could be well applied to the earthwork site. In addition, there was no significant difference in the accuracy of the acquired coordinates according to the installation angle of the LiDAR, but the shape of the point clouds was different. The larger the installation angle, the better the shape of the site terrain is measured.

  • In recent years, the digital transformation age represented by the "Fourth Industrial Revolution", which is a universalization of digitalization across all industries, has become a reality. In the construction sector in 2018, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport established the Smart Construction 2025 vision and established the 'Smart Construction Technology Roadmap' aiming to complete construction automation by 2030. Especially, in the construction stage, field monitoring technology using drones is needed to support construction equipment automation and on-site control, and a 3D geospatial information model can be utilized as a base tool for this. The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors affecting earthworks work in order to manage changes in site conditions and improve communication between managers and workers in the earthworks plan, which has a considerable part in terms of construction time and cost as a single type of work. Based on this, field management procedures and applications were developed.

국제 철도 연맹 규정(UIC Code)에 따른 RCV 대차 프레임 구조 안전성 평가 (RCV bogie frame structure safety evaluation according to UIC Code)

  • Nowadays, traffic congestion is emerging as a major problem due to the rapid population growth and the increase in automobiles. The train is a convenient means of transportation that can efficiently solve these problems. Trains have been developed in line with human aspirations for a long time, but research on safety is still insufficient. This study aims to check safety by conducting static tests and fatigue tests on bogie frames, and to help develop bogie frames in the future. For the static test, a strain gauge was attached to the point where the local stress concentration was expected beforehand, and the result value was derived, compared with existing theories, and expressed as a Goodman diagram. In the fatigue test, a total of 10 million loads were applied over three stages, and no cracks appeared in the non-destructive test conducted after each stage. Both tests were conducted according to the strict test method of the bogie frame presented by the UIC Code. It satisfied both fatigue life and strength evaluation criteria and was judged to be a bogie frame usable for safe train production.

  • 최근 화석연료 및 에너지 소비의 증가로 인해 지구온난화의 심각성이 대두되고 있다. 따라서 온실가스 저감, 에너지 효율화를 위한 정책 및 제도에 대한 논의가 진행되고 있다. 총 에너지 사용량의 45%를 차지하는 건설 산업도 녹색기술, 친환경자재, 재생에너지 등의 녹색 건설화가 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 건설 산업은 온실가스 배출에 미치는 영향요인 및 데이터 구축이 이루어지지 않았으며, 녹색 건설의 성과를 평가하기 위한 방법론도 불명확하다. 특히 건설 산업 분야중 도로, 철도, 해운, 항공 등의 교통시설물은 전체 에너지 소비율의 21%를 차지하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 건설 산업 분야의 교통시설물 중 도로시설물의 성과평가 항목의 인과관계를 제시하였다. 성과분야는 경제적, 사회적, 환경적 요인으로 구분하였으며 건설 전문가의 설문조사 결과를 바탕으로 제시된 성과평가 항목을 이용하여 항목 사이의 인과관계 체계를 도식화하였다. 이는 녹색성과를 비교 평가하여 향후 목표 수립 기반을 제공할 수 있다.

유량 조절 밸브가 탑재된 진동수주형 파력발전장치의 터빈 내 유동해석을 위한 수치해석 연구 (A Numerical Study on Effects of Flow Analysis with Flow Control Valve on Turbine of OWC Type Wave Power Generator)

  • In this paper, a numerical analysis was conducted on the effect of the flow control valve of a oscillation water column(OWC) type wave power generator turbine. The OWC wave power turbine operates with compressed air in the air chamber according to the change of wave height. When the wave height changes rapidly, a flow control valve is required due to overload of the turbine and reduced efficiency. Therefore, in this paper, a flow control valve with an opening angle of 60 degrees was installed in the front of the turbine, and the pressure drop, torque, and overall performance were calculated according to the change of turbine RPM and flow rate of turbine inlet. In conclusion, the flow control valve with an opening angle of 60 degrees affects when the turbine rotates at low rotation and the inlet flow rate is large. But it does not have a significant effect on overall turbine performance and it is necessary to find the optimal angle in the future works.
