본 연구에서는 천연염색 실크직물의 배색 시스템을 활용하여 배색 감성에 기반한 패션의류 제품을 개발하고자 하는 목적으로 천연염색 업계에서 즉시 활용 가능한 국내외 시판용 천연염재를 대상으로 균일화된 기계화 염색 공정을 통해 의류용 실크직물에 다양한 천연염색 색채를 발현한 후 대표 단색군을 선별하여 동일톤과 유사톤의 원리를 이용한 3배색 데이터 베이스를 구축하였다. 나아가 현대적이면서 한국적인 텍스타일 모티브를 개발하여 3배색 데이터를 적용한 배색 디자인을 제시하고, 이들 모티브와 배색 디자인이 적용된 패션 의류 아이템들을 제작하여 천연염색을 활용한 실크직물의 배색 감성을 적용한 현대적 하이-프리미엄 패션의류제품을 제안하였다.

천연염색은 자연의 식물, 광물, 동물 등에서 염료를 추출하여 직물에 착색하는 것을 의미한다. 합성염료가 발명되기 이전까지 천연염료를 이용하여 의류 및 생활용품 등의 직물에 염색을 하고 인체에 장식을 하였다. 천연염색 중 대부분은 식물성 염료로서 식물의 껍질, 줄기, 열매, 뿌리 등으로부터 색소를 얻을 수 있다. 이러한 천연염색은 그 색상이 차분하고 은은하며, 생리적 측면에서 항균성, 소취성이 있으며, 염색공정이 환경친화적인 저공해 염색으로 알려져 있다. (중략)

This study examined the influences of product knowledge(subject knowledge, purchase experience and information search) on perceived risks and benefits to natural dyeing product. Data were collected from a total of 213 Korean females ranging from 20 to 50 years old who know natural dyeing product through online survey. There were significant differences between(or among) groups with different levels of subject knowledge, purchase experience and information search in several types of perceived risks and benefits to natural dyeing product. Consumers with high knowledge of natural dyeing product perceived several types of risks lower than consumers with low knowledge but they perceived several types of benefits higher than consumers with low knowledge.

This study researched the status and prospect of the natural dye program in the Gyeongsang region, with a focus on private centers with sufficient infrastructure and abundant human resources available for natural dyes. Metropolitan cities do not own the drying house and the agricultural land for natural dyes as well as have difficulty securing the land; therefore, entire sites are limited and smaller as they are closer to the city. The one-time program of all centers has been researched to help promote and maintain centers rather than generate profit. It is shown that June-August (summer) is preferred over December-February (winter). Natural dye programs for hobby and education are operated as needed because the number of participants are low. This program uses natural indigo and Persimmon Juice for the dyeing raw materials. Programs are often outsourced by other institutes with a private certification registration system the starting of a business after obtaining certification are often found in institutes operating programs directly. Future plans do not include investments in facilities (like the enlargement of experience centers) the prospect of programs and business value is bright for business strategies that include an exhibition shop for natural dye products and program development.

본 연구의 목적은 적색계 천연염료를 이용한 견직물의 무매염 염색을 다룬 국내논문들을 고찰하여 무매염 염색의 염색성을 알아보는 것이다. 연구대상인 천연염재는 자색 고구마, 봉선화, 오디, 광나무 열매, 구아바 잎, 단삼, 히비스커스 꽃, 복숭아나무 전정가지로 총 8가지이다. 염색실험의 결과는 색차식에 의하여 $L^*$, $a^*$, $b^*$, C 및 ${\Delta}E^*$와 Munsell표에 의한 H V/C, Kubelka Munk식에 따라 K/S값을 산출하여 표면색을 측정하여 살펴보았다. 염색실험 변인은 염액농도, 염색온도, 염색시간, 염색반복횟수이며, 변인의 변화에 따라 염색성과 색채특성을 알아보았다. 문헌고찰 결과, 염색실험 변인은 견직물에 대한 천연염료의 염착성과 상관관계가 있을 뿐만 아니라 적색 발현에도 상관관계가 있었다. 본 연구를 통해 천연염색 과정에서 환경오염을 일으키는 반복적인 염색이나 매염제 사용 등을 하지 않아도 적색이 다양하게 발현되고 염색성도 우수할 수 있음을 보였다.

The main purpose of this exploratory research was to examine the characteristics of consumers who patronize natural-dyed clothes and their perceptions regarding natural-dyed clothes. Thirty three participants who have worn natural-dyed clothes were interviewed for the study. They were asked about the styles and price of natural-dyed clothes they owned, their evaluation on them, and the lifestyles of themselves. Existence of subculture among the interviewes and its characteristics were also probed. The results indicated that natural-dyed clothes are relatively high-priced, mostly of modified hanbok style, and became popular in recent years. Interviewees frequently mentioned uniqueness and comfort as the main benefits of natural-dyed clothes, and expressed dissatisfaction regarding color fastness, easy care and problem of coordination. The consumers of natural-dyed clothes appeared to have strong preferences for environment conservation and Korean traditional culture. They also seemed to form a subcultural group who have commonality in their involvement in Korean cultural activities, mainly tea ceremony.

This study was to investigate categories of valuation and make the standard on developing valuation of natural dyes by Delphi method. The three-round Delphi tests were performed with 36 professional in the academic, the industrial, and the art field.'Dyeability property' meant levelling, adsorption, color diversity with mordant, color stability, 'marketability', possibility of mass production, economical efficiency, functionality, demand and supply of natural dyes, 'color', yield, beautiful color, value of color and 'color fastness', washing, perspiration and light fastness. Indigo, persimmon, cochineal, safflower and onion in dyeability property were evaluated highly, functional natural dyes in marketability, red and purple color ones except indigo in color and ones containing tannin in color fastness.

본 연구는 천연염색 견직물의 색상과 톤, 염료 및 매염에 따른 색채감성 이미지 요인의 차이를 고찰하여 천연염색 견직물의 색채감성 이미지 스케일을 구축하고자 하였다. 다양한 국내 외 시판 천연염료로 단일 및 복합염색을 실시하여 얻은 대표적인 66개 색채의 동일한 견직물을 대상으로 주관적 평가를 실시하였다. 연구 결과로서 추출된 색채감성 요인 중에서 '유쾌성'은 Blue와 Green, vivid와 bright의 색채이거나, 치자황과 치자청, 황토, 홍화씨로 염색, 또는 알루미늄으로 매염하였을 때 강하게 인지되었으며, '자연성'은 Purple Blue, light, light grayish, pale의 색채, 또는 빈랑자, 오배자로 염색하였을 때 높게 평가받았다. '현대성'은 Green, Blue Green, Blue의 색채에서, 염료로는 생쪽과 치자청, 철 매염시에 높은 평가를 받았으며, '매력성'은 Red, Red Purple, Purple과 dark, 염료로는 오배자, 랙, 꼭두서니, 매염제로는 알루미늄 또는 구리를 사용하였을 때 더 강하게 느껴지는 것을 알 수 있었다. 나아가 천연염색 견직물의 색채 특성과 감성 이미지 형용사 간의 관계에 의한 시각적 이미지 스케일을 구축하였다. 따라서 본 연구의 결과는 색채감성 지향 천연염색 직물 및 의류 제품의 기획 및 설계를 기초데이터로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
