This study discusses about virtues and character of good parents for the rearing of children through the written by Lee, Deok-Moo treating traditional education in late Chosun Dynasty. The study is conducted by answering the two questions for inquiry. First, what is the virtues and character of parents discussed in ? Second, what is the modern meaning of character of the parents? Father's character is expressed as 'stability and warmth', 'trust and moderation' and 'understanding and consideration'. And Mother's character includes 'politeness and harmony', 'responsibility' and 'understanding and consideration'. These results present three important implications from a modern perspective. First, children inherit character and virtues of parents through visual learning. Second, character and virtues of parents are expressed as language and behavior. Third, it is emphasized as ethics of family. Fourth, it is closely linked to the core virtues of character within the [Character Education Promotion Law]. Therefore, parents need to do self-reflection and effort to improve their own characters for character education of next generation.

환경교육의 목적은 환경문제점에 대하여 자각하고 관심을 가지며 현존하는 문제점들에 대한 해결과 새로운 문제점의 예방을 위하여 개인적으로나 집단적으로 일할 지식, 기술, 태도, 동기 그리고 책임에 대하여 교육시켜 가는데 있으며 이와 같은 목적을 충족시키기 위하여 환경교육의 대상이 되는 개념으로서 경제사회발전과 환경보전의 조화라는 관점에서 관심을 모으는 ESSD개념은 유엔이 국제환경보전운동의 지침으로 삼고있는 환경적으로 건전한 지속적 개발(Environmentally Sound and Sustainable Development)개념으로서 개발은 환경용량의 범위 내에서 추구되어야 하며 지속성의 관점에서 정부와 모든 국민들은 그들 자신의 복리는 물론, 그들의 후손을 위해 환경을 보전하는데 공동의 노력을 쏟아야 할 윤리적 가치를 강조하고 있다. 우리나가가 현재 직면하고 있는 환경문제를 ESSD개년의 도입과 실천을 통하여 해결하고자 하는 의지가 있어야 할 것이며, ESSD개념에 입각하여 인관과 환경간의 관련성의 새로운 개념에 대한 인식을 국민모두가 갖도록 하는 환경교육을 통하여 환경에 관한 가치가 개개인의 생활양식은 물론 기업 환경의식이나 정부의 의사결정 과정에 구현되어야 할 것이다. ESSD개념은 환경교육에서 환경보전과 경제사회발전이 어떻게 양립될 수 있는가를 강조하는 것이 되어야 할 것이며 학교환경교육이나 일반성인을 대상으로 하는 환경교육에서는 물론 정치적 관심이나 각 부처간의 이익을 초월하여 개발과 환경보전을 역동적으로 통합시킬 수 있도록 입법부나 행정부처의 공무원을 대상으로 하는 환경교육에도 포함되어야 할 것이며 환경문제에 관련된 전문가를 교육하는 현행제도를 재평가하여 단지 단기적인 현실만이 아니라 ESSD개념에 바탕을 둔 장래 개발문제에 대처해 나갈 수 있는 환경전문가를 위한 교육과정의 설계와 교육방법론의 체계적인 연구조사가 있어야 할 것이다. 이러한 환경교육의 중요성에 대하서는 의제 21, 지방의제 21 그리고 인간정주 의제서에 계속적으로 강조되어왔으며 국내에서도 이에 대한 체계적인 차원에서의 대응이 준비되고 있으며 이에대한 많은 각별한 관심과 참여가 요구되어진다.

In Korea, partial self-driving feature is added on Genesis G80, Tivoli 2017, and others, and full implementation is under evaluation. Tesla already completed test for full self-driving car, Tesla Model 'X'. Further adoption of self-driving car in market will bring benefits to the elderly and disabled, meanwhile traffic accident will be decreased. However, related regulations for traffic accident with autonomous car including ethical responsibility is not fully established yet. In addition, security and privacy issue of self-driving cars should be improved as well. In this paper, domestic researches and analysis status on autonomous car will be summarized, and proper activation model will be proposed for the previously described issues.

The police have a responsibility to ensure the safety such as the Public peace and order, life and property of the people. Therefore the police system is to be provided in the organization and functioning. And the policemen should live correctly in public or private living. The police shall perform the duties matching the expectations of the people. But in reality the poloce disappointed, so the people were often to be angry. In this paper, I want to derive the core values of the police as a way to get the confidence of the people by analyzing the code of ethics, the moral of the police institution and the great acts of policemen. Core values are the most important values as the basis for action a nd the most important foundation that make up the organizational culture. Core values of korean police are justice and the spirit of sacrifice, honor.

The focus of design in the contemporary point of view has changed from the improvement in production efficiency for profitability and in styling for sales promotion to human-oriented design. Human-centered design has developed into design which includes social and ethical responsibility and values. With tradition and culture as a base the principles of markets and capital are incorporated as well. Such current design is the outcome of design which honors social values represented based on culture acquired from individuals and society and the the responsibility of the designer who provides it. For the realization of social values in design, it should be considered along with the influence of design on society, this study presented the following cases: First, human-oriented design for those who are isolated, but should not be ignored; Second, cultural-oriented design which makes a contribution to local conditions; and third, usability-oriented design which replaces familiar ideas with new paradigms. This study presented the function and meaning of design in terms of purpose and the methods to solve social and human problems using design. Further studies should deal with the realization and extension of social values through design.

An arbitrator's duty shall be independence and impartiality such as a judge who has procedurally absolute position. Independence is the freedom from others, impartiality is the status of having no-partial condition. Although these show relevance between independence and impartiality, in actuality, it is not easy to prove them. Therefore, arbitrator has to prove his or her position by opening the public of reality and by having an obligation of notification. Each country which applies Arbitration rules or Arbitration act stays the same as Korean Commercial Arbitration Board does. Hence, each country has the moral principles in order to establish a standard of judgement for essential factors and requests preferentially the impartiality and the publicity. In reality, court of justice in England excludes arbitrator who has the close relation to a person concerned. Justice in France cancelled an authorization of arbitrator because of having the economic interest to the person concerned. And also, In United States, Federal Court reverses an arbitration judgment without giving any partiality to a person concerned because of not opening a public about the relationship between arbitrator and a person concerned. Therefore, decision basis of the independence and the impartiality is standardized by the economic interest of a person concerned, professional relation, society connection, relationship between arbitrator and arbitration representative in the same case while in process of arbitration, arbitrator's nationality If arbitrator does not keep the independence and the impartiality by a position of judge, he or she has to make responsible. this duty is divided by two things: civil case and crime case. and if arbitrator does break this responsibility, he or she will get the cancellation of judge and compensation of damage. However, Korea is placed in the real circumstance without judge precedent and moral principles including the independence and impartiality. In order to getting the good reputation of international arbitration institution, this country will have to enact principles of the independence and impartiality for arbitrator.

The objective of this research is to investigate the attetudes of religious groups(christian, buddhist, atheist) towards corporate social expenditures. Methodology was a questionnair survey. The data analysis was done by the Kruscal Wallis test and Wilcoxon signed ranks test. The results of this rssearch is that the difference of attitudes between christian group and other groups and between religious groups and atheist group on the social expenditures did not turn out to be statistically significant. The implication of this results is that the variables of religious groups can be ignored when we are going to study on the attitudes of values for the Korean people.

Local public corporations are closely related to the welfare promotion of local residents because they are responsible for the management of public facilities and are entrusted with some of the duties of local governments. Besides these responsibilities, they also have to conduct systematic and professional record management to ensure the legitimacy and fairness of organizational activities as the importance of ethical management and knowledge management emerges in organization. With regard to this task, this study proposes an improvement plan for the records management of local public corporations by analyzing the current status of records management and the awareness level for the possibility of developments in record management work. For this endeavor, the study conducted a literature review, gathered 50 survey responses from archivists from local public corporations nationwide, and performed 18 interviews with the survey respondents. Based on the analysis of these data, the study proposes that the National Archives of Korea should strengthen the role of supporting local public corporations. Moreover, local public corporations are suggested to improve records management at the local level and form a cooperative union among similar corporations.

The purpose of this study is to analyze university students' views on STS(science-technology-society) literacy. We divided definition and interaction of science, technology and society in the views' category about STS literacy. Research object was three universities' students(engineering department: 119 and social science department: 117) in Seoul and Jeju. Research result was following. First, students from engineering department valued convenience of life in the definition of science and technology. Students from social science department valued explanation of phenomenon and experiment in the definition of science and technology. Second, two groups perceived inter-relationship of science, technology and society. Third, two groups had different opinions about responsibility and ethics of scientific technician and technical use. As a result of this study, students perceived highly about STS literacy. Therefore, the result of this study will provide important implication for establishing and operating subjects about STS literacy in university curriculum.

CANDU spent fuel is to be disposed of at repository finally rather than recycled because of its low fissile nuclide concentration. But the difficult situation of finding a repository site can not help introducing a interim storage in the short term. It is required to find an optimum timing of geological disposal of CANDU spent fuels related to the interim storage operation period. The major factors for determining the disposal starting time are considered as safety, economics, and public acceptance. Safety factor is compared in terms of the decay heat and non-proliferation. Economics factor is compared from the point of the operation cost, and public acceptance factor is reviewed from the point of retrievability and inter-generation ethics. This paper recommended the best solution for the disposal starting time by analyzing the above factors. It is concluded that the optimum timing for the CANDU spent fuel disposal is around 2041 and that the sooner disposal time, the better from the point of technical and safety aspects.
