In this paper, we introduce a wireless package system based on the amateur radio HR(HAM Radio) and satellite communication as a novel wireless disaster communication system and have configured a interference scenario receiving interference from adjacent base stations and D2D groups in the disaster network. In such interference scenarios, we propose a frequency re-allocation method to avoid interference and communicate with disaster networks by securing the channel capacity required between D2D terminals. As a result of computer simulation, we can find the proposed method has improved BED performance of a gain of 1.5dB and overall system throughput than conventional methods.
During wireless network operations, adaptive power control is an effective way to enhance the network performance. In this paper, a new online power control scheme is proposed based on the evolutionary game theory. To converge a desirable network equilibrium, the proposed scheme adaptively adjusts a transmit power level in a distributed online manner. With a simulation study, we demonstrate that the proposed scheme improves network performance under widely diverse network environments.

We propose an efficient adaptive subcarrier selection scheme, in which the active subcarriers and their modulation and coding schemes (MCSs) are selected at the receiver, and subsequently conveyed to the transmitter using limited feedback We theoretically show that capacity maximization can be achieved by selecting subcarriers with highest signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs) and adapting the number of active subcarriers according to channel environments. Furthermore, an ordering based adaptive subcarrier selection algorithm is proposed to select the optimal active subcarriers with low complexity. Numerical results show that the proposed adaptive subcarrier selection scheme provides higher capacity than that obtained by water-filling approaches, even with limited feedback.

Wireless channel has high error rate and limited bandwidth. In order to guarantee the quality of service for multimedia through wireless channel, wireless ATM network requires the cell structure with error control schemes and an efficient medium access control protocol. In this paprt, an efficient medium access control protocol, which is considered of cell structure and the QOS, is proposed for wireless ATM networks. Many kinds of ATM cell structures are analyzed in terms of cell error rate and cell loss rate to choose the proper cell structures for this proposed MAC protocol. And a bandwidth allocation algorithm is also designed to satisfy the priority of services. The performance of proposed MAC protocol are evaluated in terms of channel utilization, call blocking and packet discard probability accotding to different kinds of cell structure through simulation.

This paper considers a linear precoding scheme that achieves near optimal sum rate. While the minimum mean square error (MMSE) precoding provides the better MSE performance at all signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) than the zero forcing (ZF) precoding, its sum rate shows superior performance to ZF precoding at low SNR but inferior performance to ZF precoding at high SNR, From this observation, we first propose a near optimal linear precoding scheme in terms of sum rate. The resulting precoding scheme regularizes ZF precoding to maximize the sum rate, resulting in better sum rate performance than both ZF precoding and MMSE precoding at all SNR ranges. To find regularization parameters, we propose a simple algorithm such that locally maximal sum rate is achieved. As a low complexity alternative, we also propose a simple power re-allocation scheme in the conventional regularized channel inversion scheme. Finally, the proposed scheme is tested under the presence of channel estimation error. By simulation, we show that the proposed scheme can maintain the performance gain in the presence of channel estimation error and is robust to the channel estimation error.

This paper proposes an algorithm for transmit antenna selection in a multi-input multi-output(MIMO) spatial multiplexing system with per antenna rate control(PARC) and an ordered successive interference cancellation (OSIC) receiver. The active antenna subset is determined at the receiver and conveyed to the transmitter using feedback information on transmission rate per antenna. We propose a serial decision procedure consisting of a successive process that tests whether antenna selection gain exists when the antenna with the lowest pre-processing signal to interference and noise ratio(SINR) is discarded at each stage. Furthermore, we show that 'reverse detection ordering', whereby the signal with the lowest SINR is decoded at each stage of successive decoding, widens the disparities among fractions of the whole capacity allocated to each individual antenna and thus maximizes a gain of antenna selection. Numerical results show that the proposed reverse detection ordering based serial antenna selection approaches the closed-loop MIMO capacity and that it induces a negligible capacity loss compared with the heuristic selection strategy even with considerably reduced complexity.

Ethernet-PON is an emerging access network technology that provides a low-cost method of deploying optical access lines between OLT and ONUs. It has a point-to-multipoint and multipoint-to-point architecture in downstream and upstream direction, respectively. Therefore, downstream packets are broadcast from an OLT toward all ONUs sithout collision. On the other hand, since alt ONUs share a common channel, the collision may be occurred for the upstream transmission. Therefore, earlier efforts on Ethernet-PON have been concentrated on an upstream MAC protocol to avoid collision. But it is needed to control downstream traffic in practical access network, where the network provider limits available bandwidth according to the number of users. In this paper, we propose a traffic control scheme for supporting the fairness of the downstream bandwidth. The objective of this algorithm is to guarantee the fairness of ONUs while maintaining good performance. In order to do this, we define the service probability that considers the past traffic information for downstream, the number of tokens and the relative size of negotiated bandwidth. We develop the simulation model for Ethernet-PON to evaluate the rate-limiting algorithm by using AWESIM. Some results are evaluated and analyzed in terms of defined fairness factor, delay and dropping rate under various scenario.

According to the recent increase in air traffic a more efficient air traffic flow control is required. This paper proposes the algorithm for efficient air traffic flow control. Aeronautical communication environment is different from the common communication environment since it needs a direct communication between stations (or airplanes) and requires a strict priority for safety message. Moreover, the wide area for basic service causes high propagation delay. In this paper, by using existing CSMA/CA Media Access Control (MAC) protocol, we set the message priorities according to air traffic condition (congestion airport area, approach control area, En route area, and ocean area). This prioritization scheme enables the data transmission with higher access probability. Simulation results confirm that our protocol shows better performance in terms of channel efficiency and success probability compared to exisiting CSMA/CA protocol.

This paper presents design and VLSI implementations of a reassembly processor for ATM/AAL. The assembly processor is responsible for processing ATM cells from the receive physical interface. It controls the transfer of the AAL payload to host memory and performs all necessary SAR and CPCS checks. We propose the improved structure of cell identification algorithm and smart scatter method for host memory management. The proposed cell identification algorithm quickly locates the appropriate reassembly VC table based on the received VPI./VCI channel value in the ATM header. The cell identification algorithm also allow complete freedom in assignment of VCI/VPI values. The reassembly processor uses a smart scatter method to write cell payload data to host memory. It maintains the scatter operation and controls the incoming DMA block during scatter DMA to host memory. The proposed reassembly processor can perform reassembly checks on AAL. OAM cell. For an AAL5 connection, only CPCS checks, including the CRC32, are performed. In this paper, we proposed a practical reassembly architecture. The design of reassembly processor has become feasible using 0.6${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ CMOS gate array technology.

Currently, most of the frequency spectrum resources are allocated and due to the lack of frequency, low frequency band, optimal for wireless communication environment is not used. Therefore, Cognitive Radio (CR) is a critical issue to solve the spectrum scarcity and to improve frequency spectrum utilization in wireless communication. In this paper, we implement data transmission and receive in a real CR system using the USRP(Universal Software Radio Peripheral) board and GNU Radio package of an open source development kit. Concretely, we detect the Primary User by spectrum sensing, and then we send Primary User information to the database. After receiving the information, because the database already sent optimal transmit power, bandwidth and channel information to CR equipment, CR can communicate without any interference to Primary User.
